Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for Fri May 25

Finally finished working...long day for me. Feeling tired and don't know if I'll go on the bike ride. It's so nice outside too. I just want to veg on the couch. Eating clean is still going strong though.:) Must lose fat.

Toasty- I want some more of the "finer" things too, alot more! ;)}(

Lora- Great your mom is home!:) The walking might be concidered a active rest kind of day. Might be good if you've been working out hard all week. :)

Geez people...It's a three day weekend. YAY!!! Anyone doing anything fun? I'll just be hangin' out. Not going anywhere special.

Doing bicep/triceps tomorrow. My neck is out of whack..woke up and moved wrong way and *presto*..seems to be getting worse as the day moves on.

Men..who knows?? Please let me know if you figure them out. Before I die, I wanna know. lol

I did get in the workout but it has been one of those days that I do not want to repeat. I started with iFIT treadmill dvd Advanced level 3 rock(it has hills uo to level 9 and sprints up to 8mph. It is 45 minutes and then I went on to do 5 miles. I then did the M&F shoulder and ab routine. Added Butts and Guts abs with extra resistance. Finished with Yoga Shatki shoulder openers, lunge and supine poses using the matrix. Put one dog outside and went to take a bath and it was downhill from there. The other was not feeling well apparently. From then on it was clean, run to the store, eat a salad, run to the bank, pick up girls, bathe dogs, clean carpet and clean some more. Now I need to clean me up LOL!

M&F rotation 1 min rests between sets throughout
dumbbell shoulder press 25#dumbbells 8 reps 3 sets
widegrip upright row 50# 8 reps 1 set, 45# 8 reps 2 sets
dumbbell lateral raise 15# dumbbells 10 reps 3 sets
bentover lateral raise 15# 10 reps 3 sets
hanging leg raise 5# ankle weights 10 reps 3 sets
decline crunch 20# 15 reps 3 sets
machine crunch Bowflex resisted 60# each hand 15 reps 3 sets

Charlotte, no man is dead. LOL. I don't think we are either. I think libidos may slow down some but I doubt many are dead:) OK, enough on that topic.

Lora, my shake in the morning was coffee about 1/2 cup, lactaid skim milk very small amount, 3 tsp sugar free decaf mocha General Foods international coffee, 1 scoop protein powder and 1 tsp Splenda, along with half of the magic bullet full of ice.

Diane Sue - for a minute - I thought "put one dog outside" was a yoga posture!! LOL. Sounds like a busy day. I can't believe that's all you eat/drink for breakfast. I had a half of a protein scoop with water and a banana this morning to hold me over!! No wonder you're so lean. What is a Magic Bullet?
 
Diane Sue - Okay - regarding the Magic Bullet? What makes it better mixing it in that rather than just stirring it with a spoon? I guess I really am living in the last century! No - I've never seen the infomercial. Please clue me in on these fancy kitchen accessories. Y'all know I'm not even close to a Martha Stewart wannabe!!

Dallys -Blueberries and oatmeal sound good.....but I can't eat blueberries, as they make me sick due to my stomach problems. I love fresh blueberries too!
 
Lora, I could stir the protein powder and liquid together but it is not likely to be smooth. Have you ever gotten a smoothee or iced cappucino? It is like that. Kind of like dessert shakes to me. You need a blender or one of these. You can put your water, milk or whatever liquid, and some ice and add some fruit or whatever flavoring and it is so nice to drink:) I have used this to make veggie soups. It has a steamer lid and you put the ingredients in, blend and microwave. I have made broccoli soup and asparagas soup with this. Now I sound like an infomercial LOL

Lora, I am so glad your mother gets to go home. It is so nice that she has you to help as well. I really think of my Dad when you talk about your Mother. I think it would be very hard for him to give up his lifestyle. Thanks for the heads up on Tracey. I really have been enjoying her latest workouts. I am not sure if she would do a heavy weight workout like Cathe though. I think from what I have seen, she is mostly into endurance. But she really knows how to get the burn. Although if she really got into heavy weights we may all be crying LOL
