Dallys - I have ADD and I can't workout on my own....I need to follow a DVD or I'm all over the place - both mentally and physically. LOL. Sad but oh so true. I have Slim Series on VHS. I've done them before. Maybe I'm just being wimpy right now cuz of my sciatica. I know my legs also get so worked from plyo and aerboics also and I can't stand when they feel like lead when I'm trying to climb the steps at work....it makes me feel old!
 
Done with working out shoulders.

3 sets/ 6/4/4 /60 sec rest

Upright Rows (20# db's)
Military Press (used 45# bar only)
Clean and Press 45# bar
Arnold Presses 25's
DB Presses 25's
Front Raises 12's
Lateral Raises 12's
Rear Lateral Raises 10's

ETA: I am just trying out the Cyto Gain Muscle Milk brand that has over 50g of protein. It is in Chocolate Malt. It is to die for. Taste like I am drinking something evil like at the ice cream shop, etc. I am just loving it!

I cannot see how you do the raises with 20's. That is wild!!!! I hope I can go up to 15's soon.

Hi again, I'm taking a lunch break.:)

Char and Anne-you are making me really want Butts and Gutts! I love a workout that will do that to you. P90X legs used to do that, but now I'm used to it. I need something new! I've got 2 more weeks with that one. Then I'm freeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!

Lora-I hear ya, on the ADD. You'd never survive the Freestyle workout. It's was soooooooo boring to me. I lasted a couple of weeks and never got sore, except in my joints...not good. The only thing that changed up, was you'd gradually add more sets! Can you imagine? Lot's of people seemed to like it though. I just like the varity in Slim Series and they don't bore me. I got great results from it quite a few times.

Char-How many calories are in that shake? Sounds delish! Great workout by the way. Killer on the presses.

Charlotte - Don't ask me how I can do lateral raises with 20#'s. Its baffling to me too because my shoulders have always been my weak body part. After I get past 15# I have to do them bent arm, though.

Just finished watching Oprah. About the baby killer on there. Too much for me to watch. A few minutes and I feel my heart rate go up and got to leave. I cannot imagine someone stabbing their baby. I have no sympathy or understanding so I am done watching it.

Time for dinner. What to make? I have no clue. Plain or plain or plainer? lol

I hope my comment above didn't sound rude about everyone else not commented on the leg workout thing. I just read it and I thought it might have sounded a bit harsh......sorry! I didn't mean it like that.

Anyway, I was just thinking -- I used to hate to work my abs, but now that they are stronger and I keep progressing, I don't mind working them that much. Maybe I'll get like that with my legs sometime. Well, I was good this week and did one total body workout with legs and one leg workout. I really don't think I went heavy enough though. They don't feel that sore.

I was planning on taking a rest day tomorrow, but if I'm not totally beat up....don't know if I can justify it in my head.

Charlotte- perfume oil update at midnight tonight (PST). I don't know if it's going to just be a Lunar or we'll get a surprise. I'll be up checking it out. Bitter Moon this month.
 
Lora, you did not say anything in an off way. I missed it till you made the second comment but you still said it in a light hearted way. Lower body is my least favorite part to work. I try to plan it when I know I won't have children, interruptions, or am tired. Now abs I do love:) I could do those all day. I look forward to upper body days. Some more than others:) Floor legs is fun. It is standing leg work or some moves like leg curls that I don't like. It is sort of like doing an easy puzzle and it is fun or doing a new hard one and not enjoying it because it is difficult. Not sure if that is a good analogy. Anyway you just have to keep at it. Maybe someday I will love it too!

Diane Sue - (still want to call you Diana!) That's funny. I like standing legs better than lying legs.....cuz it gets your HR up a bit and I feel like I'm working out and burning calories. When I do lying leg work, I feel like I wasted my time napping and doing leg lifts!! LOL.

Guess what - my Amy Bento's just shipped Fed Ex Ground. I wonder how long they will take to get here. I'm not used to Fed Ex. I hope they have good 1 hour premixes! Me and my 1 hours premixes!!

I better go watch GH and lay on my balls. I've got to be up early for the Lunar update and if I don't feel that sore, I may have to work out tomorrow instead of just doing yoga/stretch.
 
I just don't like the one legged lunges. I dread those. I think tomorrow will be another rest day. There is no way I can work legs again. I am so pleased I am this sore, but at the same time I am so uncomfortable. Does that mean I might be bipolar? lol.

That is cool that you already know the moon scent for December. I will check it out tomorrow if dh doesn't stay on computer too long. I want to buy some more, but I spent alot at GNC again and gave to a charity for dd's friend. She is going to Mexico as a missionary to preach the gospel. She is doing a good thing. I am so proud of her and the direction she is going in.

Hey all. Just got home. My DH came home from work early and I gave him kiddie duty! I managed to complete the Viper. I like that one, has ME upper body throughout! Got a great WO in. I did skip the deadlifts though, just in case. My back felt alright today, don't want to push it. I am going to work legs and abs tomorrow.

Char--oooooh, I gotta try that milk stuff. Also curious about the calories in it.

Lora- I couldn't find on the BPAL site where it has the shipping info. Just want to know when mine are shipped. Can't wait.

Thanks Charlotte. Sounds good. Alot of potassium too. I would use FF milk too. I am writing it down to possibly get it. Is this now your evening protein drink? How often are you drinking it? I wonder if I should take it as much, since you are really trying to bulk, and I am not right now. Probably only after heavy lifting WO's? Have to look into it.


Yeah the Viper is fun. C&W cardio, Imax2 interval, 3 ME upper body segments. Repeat 4 times. Actually, they do have squats and lunges thrown in there too, but that is it for lower body. You know I love ME, so it was fun.
Imax Extreme, which I did yesterday morning is C&W cardio, 2 Imax2 intervals, C&W compound weight segment, repeat 4 times. More cardio heavy then Viper.
I figured it was alright to do the Viper today, since I did Extreme more then 24 hours prior. (If that makes sense).

ANyway, that's awesome on the shoulder WO. I can eek out MAYBE 8 reps of front raises with 10s! And I mean EEK out. That's great.

BTW, I got your email, but my email is screwy and not allowing me to reply, so I will get back to you LOL!

It recommends you take it right after your workout. No later then 30-40 mins after. For people like myself, trying to bulk, to take inbetween meals too.

Wow, that is cool you got all that in for your workout. O.k., whenever you get a chance. Always nice to hear from you. I got to go get my son now from theatre. Says it is really busy there tonight. Wanted to know if I could pick him up later at 11pm. I said, "no". I am just done. Very tired.

Lora, I try to get in some lying leg work because I have found that over the years there is a difference when I don't do it. I lose the dip in my outer hip area and the inner and outer thigh definition. I also think it hits the glute area pretty well when resistance is used.
