Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for Finally Friday 8-4

Cathlete
Morning Fit Ladies -

This morning I did P90 Masters Upper, Middle, Lower. I used a med ball and ankle weights to make it harder and did all of the pushups on the floor.

This workout is a 40 min workout similar to Core Synergestics, but it's shorter and you don't use any dumbells with it....you only do pushups. However, at the end I did some of those walking lunges with triceps kickback, bicep curls and shoulder raises like they do in Core Synergestics.

Charles said I could work the early shift today since my boss isn't there...so I had to shorten my workout. Since I've slacked the last 2 days, I'll make sure I make up for it over the weekend. I'm still a blimp and retaining water. I hope my body gets used to these hormones.

Charlotte - did you get my long PM last night? Did you end up ordering anything else? Did you check out the BPAL Forum?

Hi to everyone else. Have great workouts and I'll check in from work.

If anyone that reads this thread wants to join us, please feel free to do so.

Good Morning,
Today will be cardio, abs, yoga and stretching. Tomorrow I will fit another total body workout in but do a little more for lower as yesterday I did more upper body.

Lora, that sounds like a good substitution. I like those lunges with the upper work in core synergistics. I spent a lot of time reading the forums at BPAL. I am sure I will order something soon as well. I kind of like jasmine and rose combinations and sandalwood is another scent I love.

Good Morning Maniacs!!!

Yesterday I rode my bike less then 10 miles. Decided on Coremax 3 and then later worked chest/back in my sunroom. 100 degrees in there, but dry heat, no humidity so was doable.

Today I still need to work my legs and will do 3 sets of bbm with weights before I take off to go to Maryland to pick up my son who is visiting my parents. When I get back, I may do arms depending on the time.

Lora,

Yes, I got your pm. Very helpful. Thank you. How many pushups can you do without stopping?

Diane Sue,

See what Lora is doing to us? I spent so much time reading all the scents and the little stories with them that I lost track of time. It was fun though and now I got a new list of the next ones I want to get. Gosh!!!!

Charlotte~~

Diana Sue - I used to like Jasmine until I met Beth and her blends. Her jasmine is very pungent, so I'd make sure to buy a sample size first. Samples are called imp's ears. You can do a search for the notes you like on the Black Phoenix site a list of the blends with that note in it will come up. There's some good sandalwood ones...names which escape me right now though. As I told Charlotte also, the Limited Edition scents seem to be more wearable and blended better, so say a LE has jasmine in it, it won't be as strong as a catalog blend with jasmine it in.

Charlotte - also, Beth's vetiver that is in some of her blends...Blood Kiss comes to mind is very strong on me. It smells like motor oil on me, but some people like it. I'd definitely only sample that one if you were to buy it. I'm wearing The Hesperdies today (catalog blend) and it smells ssssooooooooo good. I ususally dont' wear catalog blends....cuz I'm always wearing Limiteds or Lunars. Also, re: how many Pushups....I don't do that competitive stuff. I have an injury, remember? I'm not even supposed to be doing them on the floor......so I don't want to push it. I already do more than I'm supposed to. That's why you don't see me competing with you ladies on how much I lift. I do what I can with proper form and keeping my cervical disc injury safe....but I do challenge myself. :)

back to work..............

Well, I was supposed to do circuits yesterday, but I wound up doing KPC last night.
I am in the midst of a flare up from my Sarcoidosis, and I really feel like crap.x( :-( I am doing what I can when I can and still trying to stick to my rotatation as much as possible. This pain in the butt disease also causes really bad joint pain, so it sucks.
Lora, I know you have issues with pain in parts of your body, and I just wanted to tell you I think it is cool how you don't let it stop you, and you are smart about modifications.

Hope you guys have great WO's, and I will check back later. Have great days.:+

Great workout, Diane Sue!

Didn't workout today for two reasons. I'm still sore from Wednesday's workout and I had to take my dh to the hospital this morning. He has a herniated disc and can hardly move. I'm so worried about him. They shot him up with all kinds of meds and he's feeling no pain right now but I know by this evening he'll be feeling it again. I feel like to cry every time I see him move because I know what he's feeling. I've dealth with chronic back pain for 20 years that started with a bad deadlift. My back hasn't been the same and goes out quite frequently if I'm not careful.

I pray to God he will be ok. They said if it doesn't get better soon he will have to have surgery. :(

I am so praying for you and your husband Deb! I am wishing for the best. Good luck girlie.

Debbie,
I will be praying for your dh. I sure hope he does not need surgury.
I am sure the break was probably good for you. You can get your third weight workout in tomorrow.

Debbie - so sorry to hear that news. I feel his pain. Disc problems are not fun. I used to work for a neurosurgeon and I've seen my share of them also. Hopefully, it will calm down with rest and NSAID's, etc. I know the surgeon I used to work for was conservative and only absolutely made someone have surgery if the disc was severely compressing the spinal cord. Has he lost function of his leg at all? Does the pain shoot into his leg? Just curious. Do you have any preliminary reports? Is he scheduled for an MRI? I'm just full of questions. My prayers are with you. I"m sorry you missed your workout, but you look great....so I know it doesn't bother you that much! TAke care.

Thanks everyone.

Lora - he had numbness in his right leg this morning, thats why I took him to the ER. I can't believe one little wront step did this to him. He was on a ladder and thought he was on the ground but he had two more steps to go. So you know the rest, he torqued his body when he hit the ground and since Tuesday its progressively gotten worse. He's doing ok this evening, just resting it. He hates being sedentary, he is always doing something. All he has is an X-ray that showed this herniated disc. Hopefully it will move back to where it belongs within the next couple days. My fingers are crossed.

I just did Ripped to the COre and I really liked it. I can't lift my arms over my head right now LOL!!! My shoulders were burning so much I could feel the heat emminating from them!! There was no warm up which I found weird, but I really did enjoy the whole thing. I hope I am not TOO sore in the AM!!!
Deb, I am still praying for your husbands recovery. I hope you both rest easy tonight!
Good night!

That is great that you enjoyed it. I have Slim and Lean. I up the weight but I am on fire by the time I am finished. I like to add different segments onto other workouts. Hope you are not too sore:) I think all of these are endurance weight workouts? I only have the one.
