Hardcore Fitness Maniacs Check In for Tues 4/18

Good afternoon,
This morning I did C&W cardio and compound wts. premix minus the abs and st, then 2.5 mile treadmill run, I followed w/ GS Legs and st.. My daughter had her tests and she has a tumor and cyst on her ovary. SHe goes for surgury Monday. Her DH is out of state doing training to go to Afganistan. I need to have some rotation planned but it is hard with so many events going on the next 6 weeks. I am hoping to do one heavy weight workout per body part a week and maybe get in one that is more endurance. I would also like to incorporate P90X legs and back once in awhile. I like this and it would give me extra back work as I feel like this has helped w/ definition.

Lora, I hope things workout for you at work. You asked about my results w/ P90X. I gained some back definition especially in the lats, I can go through Cathe's 72 push ups without a pause now. But I also am having this nagging hamstring soreness and pain in my right hip over the last couple of weeks. Not sure why. I lost some in the hip area as well but think it may be do to lack of the heavy weight I usually use. I did not need to lose here.

Kali, I do the same thing as far as being pressed for time I usually go into high mode and accomplish a lot. I used Body Max cardio and lower segments alot when I did P90X legs and back.

Sabrina and Nicole it is good to have you back.

Debbie, I did the ME, BC combo as upper and lower splits before but usually would do all of Cardio and Weights on upper day. Skipping some w/u & str. It is around 2 hrs which is what I usually do anyway. You can also do the C&W weights only on upper day to make the weight work longer.

Christine, I also experienced the rep situation when doing P90X. It took awhile to make myself slow down and do less reps.. TOny moves pretty fast through a lot of these

Dallas, sorry you are having to put up with that foot. I am sure that is so frustrating.

Hi Marietta, Susan, Terri, & Charlotte

This is getting way long. Have a great day.

Diana Sue - Did you do Plyo X? Plyo makes my right piriformis and sciatic area spasm like the dickens. Yoga has been helping with that though.

Lora, yes I did Plyo X. In fact when the pain started was right after a Plyo X workout. I do Plyo moves on Cathe's w/outs and have not had a problem. I am not sure what it is. If it hangs on too long I will go see my doctor.

Diane Sue, thanks for the suggestions on ME, BC and C&W, sounds like fun. Hope your daughter will be ok soon. My thoughts and prayers are with her. Great workout today! Hope your hamstring feels better.

Hi All!

Just getting home....I am pooped! The field trip was so much fun! I came home and the generator guy showed up. Yep, that's broken too. :-( We also had to replace the air conditioning compressor. Our house is only 4 years old! Needless to say, I never got to the gym. We're getting ready to leave again.

Diane Sue ~ I'll keep your daughter in my thoughts and prayers. Take care of that hamstring.

Marietta ~ Thanks for the e-mail. Have fun at the wedding! Don't do that crazy chicken dance. lol! :7

Christine ~ Feeling better yet? You'll get back on track in no time...we'll keep you in line! ;-)

Terri ~ Has your stomach calmed down? I'm sorry you're under so much stress. How's your dad?

Nicole ~ How was your weekend away? You're back to the routine I see. I know all about that. I've been trying to get my pictures uploaded so you all can see our Disney trip.....no time! :-(

Sabrina ~ Sounds like you had a wonderful time!

Kali ~ How did Bodymax go? You do two workouts every day?

Debbie ~ What a workout!

Charlotte ~ Oh, I just did PLB floor work. I can't do standing work yet. :-( My foot/ankle will get there eventually.

Lora ~ You seem to be in a good mood today! LOL on your comment. It must be your up and coming vacation. You leave Saturday, right? Enjoy! You deserve it!

Thanks everyone for the well wishes on my darn foot/ankle. It'll get there. I was nosing around on a foot forum. lol:D Anyway, it said lateral ankle impingement syndrome can be chronic and possibly require surgery. Hopefully it won't come to that. I may just have to give it complete rest and see what happens. It's just so hard to not do anything. I may have just overdone it last week being my first week back from vacation?

Have a good night everyone!

Dallas

Thank you everyone for your kindness. I think I am going to go do stretch max and see if I can loosen up that hamstring a little. For some reason I am incredibly tired today. I usually have more energy. I even took a short nap and it didn't help. I'm fixing to go lock my bunny in his cage. He chewed up the side of my magazine stand (I think to get back at me for not letting him go in the guest bath and lay behind the toilet.) I hate having him pop up from behind. Scares you half to death having something furry come at your feet. More than you needed to know I am sure.

Dallas, My son in law went on a field trip today and is going on his other daughters tomorrow. I think field trips must be a spring event everywhere:) I have two others that are having them too. Here they go to the Omniplex. Lots of science stuff.

Have a wonderful evening

Hope you have a great stretch, Diane Sue! I am extremely tired today as well, not sure why? I did a stretch workout this evening as well. I did one from Karen Voight, its called Yoga Focus and I did the stretch from that workout. There are two 30-minute workouts on this DVD, a power yoga and a stretch. I LOVE the stretch, it really relaxes me. My hamstrings are tight from PLB yesterday so it felt really good. Any of you have this workout? If so, how do you like it?
