Hardcore Fitness Maniacs Check In for Tues 3/21

Lora - if getting up early makes you weird, then I'm weird right along with you. I've been the second post here some days - and I live on the West Coast. I'm up at 4:15 every week day morning to get in my workout.

Nicole - Yeah, I like FYC more and more every time I do it. That's the thing with those TLT's. We're used to Cathe. Yeah, there is technique in heavy lifting but we know that. We can lift without much thought on form. The first time or two I do the TLT's I think "Oh that's BORING!" or as I've said, "That's just plain weird!", then after a few times I start to get the form down and lo and behold it IS a tough exercise, even using 10 pounds weights where I normally use 20...

Marietta - well tonight won't be a problem. DH is on a business trip and won't be back until Thursday. The flax can affect me all it wants for the next few days! DH doesn't go away as often as he used to, which is good, so the occasional trips are great - I get to spend a lot more one-on-one time with my girls. I love that.

Hi Everyone!

Holy posts! You all have been busy today. I can't even read through all of this. lol!

Terri ~ So glad your dad is home from the hospital. What are they going to do about it?

Christine ~ I may stick w/no meat as well after Lent. However, I haven't given up my egg whites. ;-) I look forward to them every morning. Glad your liking the TLT's. I'd like to **really** give them a try.

Marietta ~ Here's the name of the stretches she has me doing: Gastroc stretch, Hamstring stretch (much like Cathe does in her videos), plantar flexion, dorsiflexion, inversion and eversion (isometric) (this one involves a squishy ball or pillow and me pressing against it out and in with my foot). She also did an ultrasound on it (no pictures). Doesn't seem like my foot should hurt from this, huh?

Diane Sue ~ I meant to say, "You ARE getting great workouts in while your dh is home!"

Nicole ~ We won't be home until April 5th. I'll see where my foot is maybe I'll join you on the rotation.

Sabrina ~ How's your cold?

Have a great night everyone!

Good evening,
I tried to post this morning, but we had wood flooring being installed in the office and they had to unhook the internet. Anyway, I thought it was going to have to be a rest day. I finally got in P90X Back and Biceps and Tough Core with 100 Bowflex kneeling resisted crunches. I guess I will do P90X Plyometrics tomorrow if I can get up early enough. That was supposed to be in the rotation for today. Our floor people will be back in the morning so I will have to get up early.

Lora, I saw that they were having a female coach on Cardio Coach vol. 6. I hope she is as good as Sean. P90X has been an interesting change and I am on week 10. I cannot look at myself and really judge my changes. DH says I looked thinner than he has ever seen me. I still weigh the same as when he left though. I think if I followed the program as outlined for the classic maybe I would not have leaned out as much. I know I can see much more upper definition and abs some. Altough I add to the abs. The diet may be part of the results. I never did use the recovery drink. I have a hard time omitting the cardio. Lower body did well too, but I added Cathe's CTX power Circuits and Body Max lower Circuits. I also did a couple of days of GS lower floor work. BTW I bet you love Cardio Coach #2&#3 two is the shortest in duration. You could build up on volume 5 by stoppin after the second challenge.

Marietta, as far as Cardo Coach my favorite so far is vol. 5. It is near an hour. I never have used the cool down. I just keep at it till the end then do something else. It has some good long hills and some great level 4 sprints. Level 4 is the upper end of your heartrate (85-95%) I cannot figure how anyone could target Oxygen Magazine for what Kelly Ryan did. They have these set up way ahead of time and they come out early, so how would they take her off of the cover or eliminate her from their calendar?

Nicole my dh is oucky as well. I think all of the years I have known him he had one cavity. I work hard to care for my teeth and find it frustrating.

Dallas, I am not watching the grandchildren while dh is here. We are having them here Thursday for a fun day and of course there are the family gatherings. We spent last night with my son and his family after dinner.

Charlotte, when you mentioned peanut butter the other day I had flashbacks of eating half a jar. I keep the Goober grape here for the peanut butter eaters because I won't eat it. I love good peanut butter like Arrowhead mills. Yes grapes are a much better choice.

Christine I hope your daughter is enjoying her new bed. The pic of the Sari was interesting. One of my daughter's best friends is from India and she has tried them on. They have some beautiful fabrics and trim on these.

Hi to everyone,
Diane Sue
