Morning Fit Ladies aka Maniacs -

This morning I only did a recovery workout. I was going to do a stretch only (rest day) but I'm a bit "mental" cuz I'm on the verge of TTOTM. I did Yoga Booty Ballet Masters Series - AM Latte (30 min) (aerobic section x 2) keeping my HR lower and then I did YBB - Masters Series - Yoga Core a pilates/core workout (30 min) followed by 10 Minute Solutions Pilates for Abs and then Rainbeau Mar's Pure Tranquility (30 min - Restorative Yoga practice).

I forgot how much I like this RAinbeau Mars yoga DVD. It's done all seated and is a very gentle restorative yoga practice that makes you feel stretched out and good. I'd recommend this for Sandy to start out with for her neck issues. This is the first DVD I got when I reintroduced yoga into my routine again. The other one that's a good restorative practice is Yoga In the Garden of Serenity (available at www.FitnessOrganica.com).

I'm planning on (trying to) doing a recovery week this week with mainly functional fitness, pilates, yoga and aerobics and I will begin my Cathe rotation next week.

Have great workouts everyone. I've got to get ready to go out to work for a bit today and then I've got a birthday party for my oldest niece. She's turning 21 today. That means I'll probably eat a piece of cake! Great! Just what I need.

Charlotte - I'll answer your email later. I still want to hear your suggestions on what we were talking about the other day.

Debbie - I got that email but I don't have Word at home...so I can't look at it.

Hi to everyone --- if anyone's around today. It was quiet here yesterday.

Wow, its getting hot here already. Its so humid. I was really sweating this morning doing my workout, but it felt great! This morning I did a mish-mosh of cardio. I started with the step premix of Cardio & Weights, then I did the cardio of All Step and then I did the first step segment of Step Blast. It was so fun! I had a lot of energy this morning for some odd reason. I then did the abs from Step, Jump & Pump. It took me an hour and 20 minutes to complete this.

I was in my zone for 59 minutes and burned 414 calories! Woo Hoo!

Lora - I'm sending you a copy/paste version of it then.

Hope you all have a great workout and day!

Good Morning Maniacs!!!

Wow, it is getting hot here too! Got the fence around the garden now and my scarecrow up. Still alot of rocks in there, but veggies in there too. Just not alot of time to get all the rocks out this year. Mom and dad on their way here from Maryland today. Will do Imax 2 this afternoon. Just talking to a friend of mine and she is asking me alot of questions about nutrition and working out so I was on the phone a long time! LOL! I am going to try to help her as best I can. I have a basic stepping tape of Cathe's I will just let her have and let her borrow a few others.

Good morning maniacs!

Wow, it's pretty quiet here this weekend, huh? Did Rhythmic Step combos 1,3 and the RS Challenge this morning. Fun. Have the lawns to mow and then will try for a bike ride of some type.

Lora, which Cathe rotation are you going to do? I'm keeping an eye out for what she offers for June. Don't think she's posted it just yet. Glad you are taking an easier week for yourself. Also, enjoy the birthday party and cake. I usually don't eat that kind of stuff, BUT, family functions are a lot of fun and I never feel guilty about joining in on the festivities and having some dessert. Hey, life is to be enjoyed (within reason, of course).

Debbie, you inspired me to do a mish mosh so I got out Rhythmic Step and CTX and was going to mix those up. I just kept on going with RS instead. But you did inspire me!

Charlotte, enjoy your parents visit. How exciting to get to help someone else with fitness. I have to watch I don't get too zealous and scare people off.

Must go, have lawns to get mowed.

Jeanette

Hi Ladies,

Netta I was so sorry to read about the weather and bike ride. Where were you that is was snowing?! It was 93 here yesterday.

Debbie-I finished the Endurance rotation of yours. It was really good. I added more upper body and stuff to it. Now I will see what Cathe puts out for June and see what I will do next month. So for the next few days I will do what I want for workouts I guess:)

Charlotte and Lora-Have a nice day

Today I will run and then do a uppser body. BSB I think.

Terri

Hi Terri:

I live in Susanville, northeastern California. Today's temps are to be in the 60's. Just one of those fast moving cold fronts.

I'm also waiting on Cathe's rotation.

Have a great day,

Jeanette

I just finished Imax 2 and I am really sweating as it is already hot here too and plus I had the fan on me. Gosh! What a great workout! I am trying to convince hubby to do it tomorrow. He says he will.

Everyone have a great holiday weekend.

Netta,

Sounds like a nice day where you live today for mowing. Have a beautiful day! The lady I am helping with fitness does not seemed scared off at all. She must really want this and I am trying to be careful not to scare her off either. She has a dress that she wants to get back into and I want her to reach her goal to get back into that dress and then have the dress be too big, ya know what I mean? Don't go for alittle bit of a goal...keep on going and get all you can get!!!!!!!!!!

Charlotte~~

Netta - I'm gonna see what Cathe posts for June, and if I don't like it, I'm taking Diana Sue's advice and doing a Gym Style Split (Harcore) with less cardio and the a month of P90X. This is subject to change if I start gaining more weight instead of losing. I'm also going to start adding in Pilates whenever I can. I'm pretty sore from doing that Source Power workout and core workout yesterday, plus today's pilates. I really have learned how to engage my core and work it really hard with pilates.

Hey all you lovely Hard Core ladies!

I'm sorry I've been absent this past week. Just not quite there between TTOM and some issues at home. I posted a bit, but not much at all, but I have been reading.

I've been subbing a lot of Cathe for some of the P90X videos, and today decided I needed a Tony fix (call me weird, but I like goofy guys). So I did Kenpo X and Plyo X back to back. OUCH!! My quads are reminding me that they exist, but that's a good thing! Need to get in my long run tomorrow. It's supposed to be perfect temperature wise, so that's good.

Missed you ladies!
