Good morning maniacs:
Slept in a bit so I was sore/stiff when I got up so decided to do the full version of Eoin Finn's PY4H. Feel much better now. I'll be doing some yardwork later and then hopefully DH and I will take the dogs out to the woods and look for a place to go camping next weekend. We'll be taking the camp trailer. I have the century ride next Saturday too, but will drive back to the camp spot when I'm done. That's what I did last year and it worked out fine.
Last nights family BBQ was great! I ate too much, of course, but it was lots of fun, took loads of pictures too.
Charlotte, way to go on being down a pound, though you're pretty little anyway. Always good when the metabolism is working right. Enjoy it while you're young as it's gotten harder as I age.
Lora, I love my Saturdays too as I can be more leisurely in my workouts and not have to watch the clock. Glad you enjoyed the yoga. My HR is always on the lower side, on the bike if I'm in the 160's, I'm definitely feeling it! Thanks again for the PY4H recommendation. I just love the hip opener work. Makes such a huge difference in how I feel. A heifer? Not even close! I'm sure you look great, but I know the feeling of wanting to look better or lose the flab here or there. Always something to improve upon.
Dallas, enjoy your rest day. The BBQ was wonderful, our family is pretty close and we all enjoy get togethers so much. I still have my folks and they are in good health so we cherish all of our time with them.
Debbie, holy cow woman! You are strong, strong, strong!!!! Maybe someday for me? Makes me want to really get after it tonite when I do the Bowflex with DH. 90 minutes for yoga sounds like a lot, but this mornings yoga was 80 or 90 minutes long and it was very, very nice. Not on a work morning, but on a Saturday. Sometimes it takes me a long time to relax.
Terry, glad the show went well. Enjoy your workout today. Yep, saying NO is something that is hard for some people and for others, that's all they ever say. Finding balance can be sooo tough.
Suz, sorry about the wind today
. Hopefully tomorrow will be better. My ride tomorrow is not supposed to have great weather, but we really need to get the miles in anyway. I hope you enjoy the yoga, I needed it today. My hips feel so much better already. I too think you should see a pulmonary dr. Do you have one in your town? Wonder if they can do a VO2 max test like I've seen them do to cyclists on TV, where you are pedaling on a stationary bike and you're breathing through a mask and they prick your finger to test the blood for lactic acid or whatever they test for. Believe me, I'm not a doctor! Just don't know what's available for testing. Know you will get to the heart of it. You train sooo hard, you should be feeling good on your rides. If I rode with the fast guys when they really want to hammer, no way in the world could I keep up for long, my whole body'd be burning, then I'd get blown right off the back. How do you feel when you ride at less intensity, like averaging 15 to 16 mph? Do you feel good then?
Hope the yoga is good for you.
