Cathlete
GM Maniacs-
Yesterday was p90x cst followed by a 20 min run-I ran the entire 20 minutes, I was stoked. Total workout time was 56 min and I burned about 500 calories. My hr would not budge yesterday, I even stayed in the zone while running which never happens. It's good I guess, but bad for calorie burn. Eats were pretty darn good yesterday. The program showed I am eating too many carbs and not enough protein. Today should fix that, meals are:

Br-1 sl toast w/ 1 T smart balance, smoothie (1 sc BSN, 1 c kefir, 1 c berries)
sn-24 almonds
Lunch- 3oz tuna w/ .25 c greek yogurt, 1 orowheat sandwhich thin, apple
sn-1/4 c hummus, carrots and tomatoes to nosh on, 10 kashi crackers
dinner-meatloaf, roasted potatoes and veggies

Workout tonight: another 20 min run, 30 kickbox or plyo

Hi Ladies

Today was Step Jam one of Cathes older ones from the Classics Volume. Enjoyed it. Last night I also did the Athletic Yoga with Kimberley Fowler. Really enjoyed this workout, I highly recommend it. Its on Marys site if you want to see the clip. Later I may do a segment from Mimi Solaires Deep Stretch.

Have good workouts everyone.

Today was cardio and I had a Cardio Coach workout planned but something in me made me want to do Amy's Kickbox Surge. So that's what I did. Had a great workout. The more I do this workout, the more I love it. Did all 5 kickbox combos and all 5 surges. Had a blast.

HRM kept losing my HR again. I don't get why sometimes the thing is dead on and other times it just doesn't work right. I think I burned more calories then what it showed.

HR STATS:
1 hr. 3 minutes total
5 minutes below zone
13 minutes in zone
45 minutes above zone
475 calories burned

Good Morning Everyone!:D

I stopped by to say tomorrow I will be officially back! I have not worked out in mooooooonths, can’t believe it:confused: I have NO ideal what my plan of attack will be, really doesn’t matter at this point, I just need to rid 10lbs and tone. See you guys tomorrow:rolleyes:

I didn't get as long of a workout in as I would have liked to. No time for the yoga I wanted to do. I spent the first half hour fighting with my HR monitor and finally just gave it up and switched to a different workout that I knew the calorie burn on. I knew my HR monitor needed the battery changed. If had stopped beeping and lighting up the last couple of days. I will probably just try to change the battery myself. I have one I purchased for it. Polar won't honor the 2 year warranty if you don't send it to them and pay them to do it. I have been using it for 17 months and really put it through a lot

Anyway, I started with Amy's Step Challenge #2 and stopped after the combined segments 1&2. My HR monitor had registered me around 107 total after stopping a restarting a couple of times. Not sure how much of that was with no hr. Then I stopped everything and took off the monitor and did Kelly Coffey's Premix Cardio Blast + with the step and 2 plyo segments between each step segment, and followed with Amy's 5 Day Get Fit Intervals with hopes of getting in the yoga two. I didn't get there. My total calories burned was somewhere around 675 and workout was somewhere around 1 hr and 29 minutes. I wanted to get all showered and hair dried so I could go run a couple of errands. I was so annoyed because for some reason the credit union was not open at 8:40. I thought it was supposed to open at 8:30. So I wasted time and fuel going there and I still need to go back out and get gas and I guess head back to the credit union:(.

So far today I had a bowl of the Kasha breakfast pudding from the new clean eating cookbook. I only made 1/4 of the recipe and used 1 egg white in it and no whole egg. I served myself up 1.5 servings but had to share with the grandbaby because she loved it:D I am making a soup from the book later.

Debbie, I hear you on the heart rate monitors. Although mine seems like it works well most of the time.

Teddy, glad to have you back.

Hi Maniacs -

This morning I did Rockin' Body with Sean T followed by part of Zumba Sculpt and Tone. Workout was 65" and I burned 597 calories. I also did Lunar Yoga with Desi Bartlett (still didn't stretch me enough - story of my life).

Laura - I love that Athletic Yoga DVD you did today. I should really force myself to take a rest day and do that one.

I'm off today. I'm getting ready to go to the foot doctor. Hope my foot is better. I hate going to the doc's.

We got a new manager at work yesterday. First impression is that she seems nice. My previous (bipolar) manager got transferred. Too bad all of the Lancome positions got filled prior to her departure. Maybe if I can keep my numbers up, I'll finally get an opportunity to move to a make-up counter with a decent manager on board......now I just need someone to leave so there is an opening........lots of luck with that, huh? I'm still stressed about selling, as I only had one sale yesterday at work! I don't know how to not let this get to me.

Have a great day everyone. I think my DH and I are celebrating my birthday today. Tomorrow, I will be 50...but I work open to close, so we will celebrate tonight. I'm a bit freaked with turning 50...that's for sure.

Well, found a link on changing the battery in my Polar F11 and did it myself. Only thing is I messed up the right bottom button. I took it a[art and put it back together more than once or this probably would not have happened. The little metal prongs where the buttons hit are fragile ad one of them bent out when I put attempted to put it back together again. It still works though and that was not a button that I use much. I think I can get around it. Here is the link I found (after taking it apart and puttig it back together again the first time)http://timlaqua.com/2008/09/how-to-replace-the-battery-in-a-polar-f11-heart-rate-monitor-hrm/
Also, I put it in upside down the first time. Negative side goes up. Just thought I would share. It was fine the first couple of times I put it back together. If I get some more good out of it I am happy.

Happy Birthday Lora, (just in case you don't get a chance to stop in tomorrow)

This morning I did Tracey Staehle's High Intensity Step Mix 2, but only through the 8th interval. I ran out of time at that point. Workout was 1:05 and I burned 552 calories. Then later I went for a 5 mile walk with my client and we shaved 20 minutes of her time (apparently I was walking faster than I realized:p)

I was just messing with my HRM again and it seems my files and everything are all there and I should be able to do pretty much everything with it. I made the Lifestyle bars from the new CE cookbook. They have way too much fat and calories. They are also yummy. Those are the ones my grandson wanted me to make. Glad it only makes 8. I cut them in half though. I had chicken breast for lunch on half a bun from Wendys. Dinner was the CE Meal in a Bowl Mexican Soup. I made half of a recipe. I think I may add some chicken or something to it tomorrow. I felt it needed something. I ended up having half a scoop of protein powder along with it for dinner.

Lora, I hope this manager is easier to get along with and you can move to where you want. I hope you have a nice early birthday evening:)
