Hardcore Fitness Maniac Hotties for 10/8

Today was cardio and I did Cardio Coach #4. Haven't done this one in a long time. Had a pretty good workout even though I wanted to stay in bed.

After that I did the Ab work from Step, Jump & Pump.

CARDIO HR STATS:
45 minutes total
5 minutes below zone
11 minutes in zone
29 minutes above zone
2.5 miles travelled
363 calories burned

I started a post, I did not see this one when I started. I will repost here.

GM Maniacs-
Yesterday was p90x back and biceps and a 20 min run. total time was 50 min and calorie burn was around 600. I ran the entire time. I was quite pleased with myself, considering a few weeks ago I couldn't run more than 2 min at a time

Got the new clean eating cookbook yesterday. There is some okay stuff in there. I have to admit, I'm a little confused by the coconut butter vs. oil. Are they the same thing-I thought they said that but I was perusing it later in the evening?

today is legs and 20-30 cardio.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Morning Maniacs -

This morning I did The Firm Maximum Fat burn using light weights since it's a cardio day. Workout was 60" and I burned 555 calories.

Have great workouts everyone.

Aw...here you guys are.........

Good morning :)

This morning, I did CC#8.

Stats:

60:00 minutes
475 cals burned
4:03 miles traved

Workout this morning was Amy's Hi/Lo Dome stopping at the cook down and doing the premix intervals skipping the w/up and stretch, and finishing with the dome segment and the dome stretch then going back and doing the other stretch. I also did Tracey's Yoga Solutions post cardio mix. Total calories burned was 703. Didn't seem like near enough calorie burn for as long and hard as I worked. I was getting better readings before I went back and set my fitness levels etc.. I did the test segment yesterday afternoon and it put me in the elite category(fell asleep during that short test LOL. Sometimes I find the whole thing confusing. This morning I had blueberries, strawberries, and flax seed with some sweetner and plain kefir for breakfast. Lunch will probably be some of the left over meal in a bowl mexican soup with some protien added somewhere. For dinner tonight I plan on making the chicken Picadillo recipe from my new CE cookbook.

Theresa, the book says coconut oil and coconut butter are the same thing. Not sure why they want to call it coconut butter then. Tosca's book says it has no cholestral. Now I thought when researching it that it was a saturated fat. So I am somewhat confused about it. I am sort of on the fence about eating too much of it. I made the oatmeal banana snack bread last night and ate 1 piece. It is better warm. I also made the ragout from the latest CE magazine for dinner last night. It was really good. Today I am on a mission to cut those starch carbs though.

Hi all

Nice workouts everyones having. I'm doing yoga today, probably the Yoga for Athletes with Kimberley Fowler or an Eoin Finn one. Got an interview in the morning so fingers crossed may have a newish job soon.

Have good days all

monitor for stats

Hi Ladies - sorry for butting in on your check in thread, but I see that many of you give your heart and calories burned stats for each of your workouts. What do you use to get that information? I'm learning from the pros here....:)

Thank you.

Carmen.

I over slept this morning and DH let me. I managed to squeeze in 4DS BC. Figured if I only had 30 minutes I better make them count. Workout was 35 minutes and I burned 302 calories.

Hi Carmen,
Most of us have Heart Rate monitors. You can get them at any sport store, online and even Wal Mart carries some. The one I have is from Wal Mart and I love it. It's a Sportline HRM. Alot of people use Polar and Nike and I've had serveral from each manufacture but find they didn't work well for me. I'm very happy with my sportline.

Carmen, I use a Polar F11. I really have enjoyed it. It works well for me calories in and calories out so I try not to sweat that I burn less calories than some others here. I think the main thing is to look for one that does calories burned as well as heart rate. Mine has other features as well. Some come without the strap. My preference is the strap. I believe the ones without you have to stop and take your pulse and enter data. Lora wears this type she could explain better than me. I had problems with a Nike I had purchased the first time and returned, but the strap was to loose around me at it tightest position. I keep the Polar F11 at it's tightest and it works well. It is a soft strap as well that is nice. Some are vinyl like the one that came with my treadmill. Hope this helps you look at them. I asked on open discussion once and got a lot of info that helped. Also check them out on the internet before you choose.
