Hardcore Check in November 19,2010 Friday

I looked earlier and didn't see a check in. Didn't want to start it in the car for fear I missed something. Today was cardio and abs. I did Tracey Staehle's Cardio Kickbox Challenge 58 min 365 calories(this was less than usual so not sure since HRM stopped then when I was finished and check HR's it had me between 127 and 213. I think it does the high hr when it loses it) Then I did Insane abs 33 min 195 calories Max HR 161 during the first section. I finished off with Kimberly Spreen's Cardio Combat Mix Fusion stretch 23 min 80 calories. Total time spent was 1 hr 54 min and calories burned was 640. I am having some berries and Myfusion Whey then have to get ready to go to my grandson's school for Thanksgiving dinner. Then swing back around to pick up my granddaughters. Lots of running today. I was up at 4:30 this morning.

Hermia, the arthritis segment from yoga housecalls is only 8 minutes. It does seem to help. I was able to go to bed without motrin last night. It has a lot of breathing and hand opening and closing with arms stretched out to the sides. It was a nice addition to the other yoga I did. There are some other segments on there that I like. From what I have read, yoga and tai chi are good for people who have arthritis.

Shoot. Diane Sue, we started a thread at the same time, just about. I was afraid of that --I'll transfer mine to yours.

Happy Friday

Diane Sue - Thank you for the feedback on the 10 Min. Solution DVD's. They would be a nice addition to a collection, like you said. I like the Insanity Cardio Recovery, too. I guess it's considered 'recovery' because at least there's no jumping? I haven't done the month 2 version yet, but I've previewed it. The bodyweight exercises look more intense - but/so/and it looks like a good one. I noticed a clip after one of the Insanity workouts. Shaun T. has a kid's workout, too - made me think of your training partner ;) Your workouts look excellent and tough, as always. Does your arthritis bother you during training, or does it ease up as you begin to move around? Sorry it's bothering you - to look at your workouts, one would never guess.

Teddy - Saw your post. All your hard work is paying off. It's great you can feel yourself getting stronger. I hope all your car and plumbing troubles are history.

Hermia - How do you like Amy's Dome workout? I'm assuming that uses a Bosu? Candlelight Yoga sounds great after a long day. I guess I could just light candles and do a DVD, but that doesn't seem quite the same. Between the 2 of us, we aced PLB - I did everything BUT the stability ball work. I'd planned to include it, but my ball was very low on air and there were 'mysterious' tooth shaped holes in my pump. I asked Skyler about it but she pleaded the 5th and showed me her tummy

Yesterday, I did PLB, but added some different exercises and changed a few things. I had to break the workout up into 2 parts and didn't get the rest finished until pretty late last night - it ended up being a pretty good one. Today, I will do LowMax and Insanity Cardio Recovery (didn't get to that last night), as well as back.

Have a good workout.

Lori

Today was cardio and I went back to an oldie. I did Step Heat, this is one of Cathe first step workouts that she released. Had fun, it was quite easy and I remembered every step. I like this one because it's not quite an hour.

I also did Power Hour Abs.

CARDIO STATS:
53 minutes total
5 minutes below zone
17 minutes in zone
32 minutes above zone
422 calories burned

I'm sorry I haven't been on much this week. Work was crazy. Hopefully next week I'll have more time to post.

Hope you all have a great Friday!

I am back from the school Thanksgiving dinner. I would say it was pretty much an all starchy carb dinner with green beans! I thought I could at least eat some turkey but it was in chunks mixed into stuffing. Then there was cake, mashed potatoes with gravy, bread:eek: I will be heading out the door again in a bit. Doesn't do much for my eating plan. The grandbaby got my roll since hers hit the floor.

Lori, I didn't post early this morning when at the school because I was afraid that would happen. If I remember right the Insanity Core Cardio and Balance workout is longer and involves a lot of upper body stuff like push ups and arm balances. It has been a few months since I have done it. I have Tony Horton's Tony and the Kids, a series called Little Kicks and Little Kicks 2, Elmocise(video) LOL I have considered Sean T's childrens workout. I also saw that Zumba has some for children. Olivia like for someone to do it with her. I have always encouraged the grandchildren to exercise. We had two pedometers and during one summer we would have contests to see who could go the farthest in a certain amount of time. It was fun watching them. The only thing is they discovered if they shook it they didn't have to move around so much. I called it cheating and they didn't get the prize:)

Debbie, nice calorie burn. Sorry work is so busy. Miss your posts.
