LEGS:
Leg Extensions - 80#/12 reps - 3 sets
***Up 5#.

Leg Press Station - 190#/12 reps - 4 sets
***Up 10#. LOVE this exercise!

Leg Press Station Calf Raises - Toes Forward - 190#/25 reps
***Up 10#. These burned like crazy!

That is all....

Good Lord Ladies-you are both really slinging around some weight today  Nice work :)

Yesterday I did M3W3 plyo legs. I forgot how much I really enjoy those workouts, so I think I am going to add one in every week. :) Today is cardio. Meals should be back on track today, I forgot my lunch yesterday and used that as an excuse to eat like crap :( Oh well.

This morning I had to be ready to take the girls to school and dh to the airport so I had a short workout. I did Turbo Fire Fire 30. 32 minutes.

Good morning -

Roselyn - Good weight work this morning.

Debbie - Rubber legs are good :). I agree with your Hack Squat/form comment. I love the exercise, but that downward pull can get to be a bit much after a certain point - nice job today.

Theresa - Plyo legs is such a fun workout (understanding what "fun" means in these parts :p). Once a week sounds like a good plan. Also, I agree with what you said yesterday (rest day's being underrated). I don't always follow my better judgement/awareness in this area  -- am (begrudgingly) trying to look at that.

Diane Sue - Glad you got something in, just because it might kind of 'help.' I hope this day isn't too difficult for you and like Theresa, am keeping you and your DH in my prayers.

Yesterday, I did get in an interval workout on my bike. It was quite something (tough) and I was grateful to be able to do it. My neck/mid back feels ... good :D. It didn't bother me during my workout and only occasionally do I feel a little bitty 'twinge.' I'm thinking I may be up for an Insanity workout again tomorrow. Tempted to do that today but will go with my original plan and get some leg work in. I think I'll resume with the Pyramids next week and STS Meso 3 the week after that.

Hi Cheryl, Teddy, Hermia, Linda and anyone else I may have forgotten.

Have a good day.

Lori

Need some suggestions. I don't know how many of you ride bicycles, but I have a friend who's birthday is next week and she is an avid rider. What could I get her that pertains to her hobby? Any thoughts? I know she wants a HRM but those are a bit too expensive. I can't think of anything else, though.

Thanks! :D

Happy Thursday Maniacs!

Today was cardio so I did IMax 3 and abs from MIS. I really don't like the IMax 3 workout that much, and it's really not growing on me....:( I had a good workout regardless, so I guess that's all that counts. I am still up about 8 lbs from where I was this summer - YUK!! I have been really watching the calories for the past few days, so hopefully the scale will notice all of my diligence! :p

Debbie - How about some bike riding gloves or a nice rain coat? I also loved to wear those great wick away shirts when bike riding...hope that helps. :) Also, nice work today - huh, and you didn't like/love leg work- j/k. :D

Lori - Nice workout today! I'm glad your neck/back is better and hope you remember to get in some "rest" days!! ;)

Diane Sue - I will be sending you and DH good wishes....hope you are doing well today.

Theresa - I hate it when I use ANY excuse to eat crappy!!! I have been trying sooooo hard to "stay on the wagon" and eat healthy, and I know you have also. I just wish I could be a little more consistent.

Roselyn - Nice weights today! You are doing awesome!

Hi to everyone else. I am off to finish this day and FINALLY am getting the house finished. I still have some stuff to do before moving in, but it's coming along and I may actually move some things this weekend - DOUBLE YAY!!

Have a great day everyone.

Cheryl

Debbie,

I agree with Cheryl about the wick away shirts, a good water bottle, you know one of those eco-friendly ones, what a nice friend you are.

Debbie - I've found some things here. It's been awhile since I visited this site. Found the link but did not let myself look :p. Maybe it will give you some ideas:

Cheryl - I'm sure your diligence will be recognized ;) -- Sounds like you've been working like a fiend to get the house done. Bet it will feel good to have some of your own things there. Still not too thrilled with Imax 3, huh  ? Good job hanging in there and doing it though. That can be tough to do if you're just not feeling it.

Lori

Roselyn - Nice workout today! Very strong! When you start working on the 6 rep sets and going as heavy as you can (possibly being able to do one or two more reps by the end of the 6th rep) then that is when you start building muscle and strength. Keep it up! And a water bottle is a great idea! Thank you!

Theresa - Nice workout. What is M3W3? Thanks for that website, I will definitely check it out. :)

Diane Sue - Is you dh going overseas again? I thought he was back for good?

Lori - Nice workout and I'm glad your back is doing well. Be careful with it!

Cheryl - I like your idea, the wicked fabric clothing is perfect. I'll have to see what I can find. Gloves are a great idea too! Thank you! And LOL! I am loving the leg workouts lately. Kind of scary!

I keep meaning to email Linda. I'll have to do that tomorrow and see how she is doing. I miss her. :(

Today's Eats so far were:
IHOP spinach and mushroom omelet with fruit as the side
lunch Schwann's Chicken Tortilla soup(Macros on this is not too bad at 150 calories; 3.5 gm fat; 16 carbs; 12 protein
dinner will be salad with some left over roast beef unless I do something with the family before my grandson's football game

Workout I mentioned earlier from my iphone was 32 min, 247 calories, Max HR 168
zone 1 60-70% Max HR 3:49 min
zone 2 70-80% Max HR 8:41 min
zone 3 80-90% Max HR 19:04 min

Debbie, I thought dh was done for good too. He is off to DC today. Not sure when he will go out of country yet. Nice workout. I need to get back into the calf training again. I let up when my foot was hurting because of the metarsal area. My calves and ankles are so small.

Cheryl, I bet you are getting excited about moving things into your house. It is nice that you are able to take your time to do that. When we sold our house we had to be out asap and we had to wait to move into the one we are in now so had to store all of our stuff and stay with our dd. They were great and even set me up workout space in their office but it was sure nice getting into our own place again.
I like IMax 3 but IMax 2 is my favorite. I hate the w/up on the original IMax.

Lori, working out not only helps with the stress but it also helps me stay out of the refrigerator and mindlessly eat while I am moping LOL I think I will start some closet and cabinet cleaning to help fill time. It needs it. I hope your workout plans all go well:)

Theresa, you will get back on track. Just think how much better you feel eating right and keep that in your head:) Thinking of slinging around some weight I have been watching some kettlebell youtube clips:eek: There is some tough looking stuff out there. I am afraid I wouldn't be able to walk after some of it.

Debbie- M3W3+Meso 3 Week 3 :D On the bike stuff, you could do what is suggested (which are very good ideas btw) or maybe a gift certificate to her favorite cycling store. My hubby seems to go through jerseys frequently too. Good luck :)

Roselyn-step....definitely step :D
