Hi Everyone! How is your Monday going so far? I had a Bootcamp class followed by a yoga class, followed by a yummy healthy steamed fish lunch and green tea. Now I am energized for part two of the day :eek: :D
 
Happy Monday to you too! Today I did a hodge podge mix doing the warm up and first 3 cardio intervals from Cardio Core Circuit then the 3 combos and drills from MMA Kickboxing. It was a fun mix! Thank you!!
 
Happy Monday, Cathe! Tonight is the start of week #4 for the endurance phase of STS for me and Jason! 'See' you then!

Well, here in Toronto it's a national holiday and it is sunny and warm, so pretty much everyone in Toronto is in a good mood and out on a patio somewhere drinking a beer from one of our zillion local micro-breweries. If the sun is shining and it's warm, it's patio weather in TO!

I ran this morning, an interval run, and I didn't quite realize how hot it was already and how humid. I tried to stay in the shade, but it so happened that the sun was directly above so there wasn't much. I also had too much sodium yesterday and a wee bit of heartburn today, so it was one of the more uncomfortable runs I've done. I'm used to running early in the morning when it's cool, so this was good training for me for running in less than ideal conditions. I did get through it! The sheer amount of sweat pouring off me was truly legendary!
 
Hi Cathe happy Monday to you!! I spent the morning at the beach with my son. I am exhausted, but had so much fun!! I should be cleaning and doing laundry but I feel like napping! LOL Hopefully I will get my second wind soon so I can exercise, I'm thinking Boxing and gym style chest and triceps.

Sounds like you had a great morning! Hope the afternoon is just as good! No work out for me this morning. I opted to sleep in after an exhausting weekend. Hoping to possibly squeeze in a short work out tonight though. Fingers crossed! :)
 
Happy Monday, Cathe! I started meso 2 for the first time yesterday...so excited for the fitness improvements I'll have to look forward to! Then this morning I almost died while doing Cardio Core Circuit. Whew! You know how to work a girl!! :)
 
Now that's what I call "sweating creatively". Good for you!

Saw on Facebook that you were going to be on OD, so I came here right away!

I did Disk 31 Chest and Back today. I finished your STS rotation w/SC close to a month ago, and decided to do Meso 3 again, after 1 week of rest. I am surprised that I like the heavy lifting so much!

Just ate lunch veg soup and crusty artisan bread w/ a little butter, and drinking green tea, also. Got to get back to work now, though...

Also, I'll be trying to sign up for TX tomorrow, so will be happy and lucky to see you again so soon(after SD RT)! (Well, that's if I get in).

I hope you are having fun creating things over at Zazzle. My daughter has created several things(mugs and t-shirts) for presents. It's a lot of fun over there!

a few quick questions

Hi Cathe -

I have a few quick questions for you about doing upper body work while recovering from foot surgery. I am trying to squeeze in STS Meso 1 and 2 right before the surgery, then 2 weeks of recovery, after which I will be allowed to do upper body weights, but without putting any weight on my foot for at least 4 more weeks. My doc has approved cardio in the water, but I'm wondering how to adapt a lot of the standing exercises for weights so that I can do them sitting or lying down. Do you have any specific suggestions, especially for back and shoulder work?

What a great morning with your son Tracy! The sun can drain you so be sure to keep hydrated, take a at nap and THEN do the laundry :D

Hi Cathe - I had my favorite power meal (brown rice, dump a can of white meat chicken, half can of spicy diced tomatoes and half small avacado microwave for 1 min. quick/easy/delish). Love it.

I have Muscle Max on tap for later today, but I'll probably do the timesaver premix.

I've lost several inches since December and lovin' it thanks to your rotations and the supportive friends of the forum. I've learned so much from you. Thank you.

Enjoy Meso #2 Jamie. You will definitely see improvements. Funny, I did Cardio Core Circut snipets in my class today and was so exhausted...but good exhausted ;)
