*** Happy Howling Weekend Coolers ***

Well spent so more time trying to figure out why my DVD player won't show the video and finally called the 1-800# and it sounds like the video input is bust. As it is still under warranty I can exchange it but now need to hunt for the receipt:mad:

Had enough time & energy to get in 4DS KickBox cardio then called it a night.

MM on tap tonight hopefully after the trick or treaters are done.

Sent DS off to pre-school in his Spiderman costume. He even wore the mask. The kids must have been talking about it at school as he knew his BF was going to be an elephant. DH took him with him yesterday to buy candy and to distract him from wanting to eat it when they got home DH bought him a new Backyardigan DVD. Bribery is the #1 trick of parents I guess:p:p

Jeanette - sounds like you're on a S&H rotation right now. I only have 2 of the 3 Videos but I think the Legs is on tap during my rotation either next week of the following. Sounds like I should be worried:D

Hope everyone enjoys their Halloween.

Good morning,
I got up early this morning to put a couple breakfast casseroles in the oven for DH to take to his work. Just finished some cardio - about 45 minutes of a couple Christi Taylor DVD's. Now need to jump in the shower and get ready for the trek to Reno for my dr's appointment.

Golf lesson was good yesterday, though I hit the ball poorly at first, but settled down. My instructor is sooo good and really tries to keep me focused on having fun and getting the bad shots behind me. We played 9 holes. I have another lesson scheduled for next Friday.

Patricia, glad you figured out the DVD problem and that's nice it's still under warranty. Sometimes I swear the reject substandard stuff goes right off the assembly line and over to our Walmart. Bet your DS was cute this morning, and excited. We won't get many trick or treaters tonite as the houses are too spread out in our subdivision. Easier pickings elsewhere. I think S&H Legs is one of the easier leg workouts for me, though of course I don't go real real heavy. I need to get a vest so I can go heavier. That would be more comfortable I'm sure.

Must run now, BBL,

Happy Halloween everyone! Was doing BB Timesafer #4 but the plumber who was supposed to come this afternoon just showed up  At least I was finished the cardio section. By the time he's done the kids will be home for lunch:rolleyes: I guess I'll do the rest of it later.

Haven't felt great all week, not sick but just tired. Other people, ds and some coworkers have been complaining of the same thing. Not sure if it's the change in seasons, or a mild virus.

The kids are excited about Halloween, we get a ton of trick or treaters, and the neighbour hood goes all out with decorating. The weather here is beautiful so being a Friday night with no snow I think it's going to be very busy. I don't know how much ds will be able to do with his walking cast but he'll go for a bit.

Jeanette- Good luck on the dr's appt! I don't find the S&H very difficult either, I think it's low rep and realistically I can only hold so much weight. My upper body wears out before the lower body. Did the vet appt go okay yesterday? This morning, I got a sympathy card in the mail from the vet's office that they all had signed. It made me cried. They also did a plaque with Bandit's paw prints on it. Has it started to cool off there? We're above average temps, high of 8 today, no snow yet!

Patricia How frustrating with the dvd player! Alot of electonics don't seem to last very long anymore. I bet ds is cute as Spiderman! Are you taking him trick or treating?? Did you keep the candy that was on your doorstep?? I found a bag of Halloween treats on my desk one day, I'm pretty sure it was from a coworker that knew I was feeling bad after a bad weekend with the dog and ds.
Did you see that P90X was in the Sears catalogue??

Laurie My legs were quite sore after doing the BB #5 the leg workout! WTG with your running this week! I haven't done any running in awhile!

What's everyone up to this weekend??
I'm going to do the last of the Body Blast Timesaver workouts (#4) today. I was looking at the Nov rotation that Cathe posted. I could really use it but don't know if I feel like doing it. Anyone else thinking of it??
Kim

Morning,
Haven't started my workout yet. Think it is SH Shoulders and 30 minute interval workout. After that, will work on stacking wood. My trip to Reno was good. Also bought a new golf driver. Hope it works okay. I hit it fine in the store, but I'd sure like my instructor to look at it too. Maybe I'll take it down to the course this afternoon and see what he says (if he's still there).

Kim, I think I will do the November rotation. I don't always do everything on it, especially if it goes over an hour, but it looks good to me. I still have 2 days to finish on the Oct. rotation, but I will probably start on Tuesday as Monday is my day off. The vet appointment went well. It was an anal gland problem, with some infection. She's on antibiotics now and doing just fine. That's nice that you received a card. We got one too, after I had our cat put down a few months ago. Thought that was nice. Did they send you the plaque, or does it stay at the vet's office? Are you feeling better now? I've had those periods of time where I just feel "blah".

Patricia, how was trick or treat?

Must run,

Just got back from taking DH and the "girls" out to the desert. We took some beverages (Snapple for me, beer for DH), some chips and made a fire from sagebrush. It was nice, though a little drizzly at times. Nice to air out. I also took a Bicycling magazine and read about Lance Armstrong's return to training for the Tour De France for next year. Interesting.

My workout this morning was S&H Shoulders. After that, was 2 combos from Amy Bento's Advanced Step Challenge. I was really sweating. Part of the more sweating I think is that the overhead fan is still not fixed, though I use another fan. It's also rainy and humid so that probably makes me sweat more.

If we get a break in the drizzle, I may go to the golf course and hit some balls with my new driver. Otherwise, it's back to housework, which I started before we left for the desert.

Jeanette, we did get the plaque with Bandit's footprints, we picked it up the day after she died. Very nice of them to do.

It sounds like you're having a nice weekend, getting out and about and doing some fun stuff.

DH took his 87 grandma and dd8 to the symphony tonight. :)What a sweet guy! I'm home nursing ds, he's sick, again! Fever/asthma attack, I'm starting to wonder if it's a pneumonia, if he's not better tomorrow I guess we will be finding a dr. Why does this always happen on a weekend:(

I'm thinking of doing LowMax tomorrow (just for fun), taking Monday off and starting the Nov rotation Tuesday. I'll decide tomorrow. Gotta clean up my eating!
Kim

Just finished LowMax. May take dd swimming this afternoon but only if she completes her piano practicing which she is resisting.

What's everyone else up to??

Evening All

Seems like I've barely had time to sit down all weekend. Halloween night was great. Took DS out for 1hr and had to make 1 stop home to empty his little bag. I'll know for next year to have a bigger bag or carry extras! The local kids really liked our house b/c DH gave out handfulls to use get rid of the candy and we still had lots leftover.

Got MM in Fri. night after the DS went to bed. Sat. I had a haircut at 11:30 and brought life back to my perm. Ran some errands, and bought my Xmas party dress + stopped by the local animal shelter to pick out a new cat. Will find out next week I guess if we pass the spanish inquisition and are found safe to have a cat.

Sun. we cleaned up the garage to be able to park the car inside. My buns are a bit sore from climbing the ladder to hang things in the rafter but glad its all done now. Just need to get rid of the dryer and I'm ready for winter parking!:):)

Lets see, I did Cardio Fusion minus most of the drills. Did a few then thought no way my legs will be up for Leaner Legs tomorrow, but lasted about 50min so I'm a happy camper.

I now have a bribe to get DS into his baths. Only way he gets some of his loot is after his bath. Aren't I terrible:p:p

I'm just starting the 3rd week of the April08 rotation and really enjoying. Will have to peek to see what Nov's is.

Jeanette - I heard that Lance was returning to the race next year. Really exciting. Wonder if he'll do better after giving his body a break.

Kim - how is DS today? Hope its nothing serious with your vacation coming up soon. Did you get swimming? I've been thinking of taking DS but I thought he had finally recovered from a nagging cough he had last month and see that it's started up again. I always find public pools to be cold and worry if they contribute to a getting a cold.

Off to watch Amazing Race

Good evening Coolers!
No workout for me today, but I did get some wood stacked. Making a dent in it, I am. DH and I went out for breakfast this morning and I had 2 big pancakes. I love pancakes! After stacking wood, I went to the course and practiced with my new driver. I have a lesson on Friday. Now that the time has changed, it will be tougher to get a bike ride in after work, but I need to get one in as I didn't ride at all this week.

Patricia, sounds like Halloween was fun for everyone. We only had a tiny bit of candy left and I've pretty much polished it all off. So you are getting a cat? How exciting! Did you pick one out? Didn't know you had to qualify for an adoption of a cat. Not sure what they do here. They are probably so desperate to have people adopt, I just figured anyone could. Maybe not. LOL about bribing for the bath. Hey, whatever works. Interesting article about Lance's training. He's had a good break, but guess now they need to have him get used to racing again. He'll be in the Tour of California in February, which will be VERY exciting and good for that race! Some folks aren't pleased he's coming back, but I am. He inspires me when I'm struggling on a hill.

Kim, how was the symphony? How is DS's cold doing? Hope he is feeling better. The LowMax is a good one. That plaque is a great idea. Very thoughtful. Will you be getting another pet soon? I remember we lost 2 dogs in the same month, very painful for us for a while. We didn't wait very long and got a puppy for DH. She's now 6 and he's crazy about her. He's always been crazy about all of our dogs.

DH is BBQing some brats right now, smelling good!
