Hi, guys!
How's the weekend going?

Today I did Gin Miller's Simply Endurance. I've had this workout for ages and I think this might have been the first time for me to do it. I loved it! I must say, I totally dig Gin. She's great!

I finished up my smoothie and now I'm going to do a little work. The 4 monsters are at my place today so we're all enjoying the Sunday.
Tonight Mom's coming to my place for leftover Pumpkin and Pinto bean stew, so I'm using all my strength to keep myself from eating it for lunch!!

All right. I'm going to make myself some tea and get to it.

(Aww, that reminds me of Michele.)
Laters!
JENNIFER - How's your weekend going? Have you been relentlessly tracking your package? LOL.
Nancy helped me with my international order. She's so sweet, isn't she?
SHANNON - Oh yeah, the stew ROCKS! And the pumpkin rind was just right and so delicious. It has a good spice punch even without the green chilies. In fact, I ended up not even putting any in at all.
But I WILL be using the chilies. Because I love chilies.

MICHELE -
>I woke up this morning with INSANELY curly hair!
That made me laugh out loud.
How's your weekend going? How's your back? Did you find a good heating pad? How is your brother doing? Were you able to visit him?
>How's your headache?
Thanks, my headache was gone by the next day, very thankfully, as I had to be out doing all sorts of stuff. All was good!
>I often get migraines when I'm sleep deprived. Maybe that's why your mom keeps bringing the kitties to your place -- they're keeping her up at night?
LOL. You might be on to something there. That naughty snack-secret-eating Mom of mine! Lulu and Yoyo spent the night again last night since I was out all day yesterday and got home past midnight...Sure enough, Lulu was up at her usual 5:30am running amok.
But this time pretty much everyone ignored her and we were all actually able to fall back to sleep pretty fast this time.
>Drink lots of coffee -- coffee always helps my headaches
LOL, you nut.
>I can't get pumpkin right now so I'll have to wait until fall
What a bummer! I wish I could send you some Japanese pumpkin because it is, if I may quote you - to.die.for.
So did you and DH end up going back for some takeout chicken?
Oh hey, I checked out the music engineer's mouse last night.
As you know, it's the Kensington Turbo Mouse (I can't find a photo of it because I think this must be the old model)......it's this model on the following link but WITHOUT the buttons on the top
http://www.insidemacgames.com/reviews/view.php?ID=260&Page=1 (this one with the buttons on the top is apparently called the Kensington Turbo Mouse Pro). It's an expensive mouse, but it's really supposed to be good. I wonder if that computer store would let you try it out for a week or so?
BECKY - Hey you! It's nice to see you again. That recipe was posted for me from Shannon and it really is wonderful. Here it is for you! As for using canned pumpkin...my thinking is that that would make for some major mush. I mean, canned is already cooked, I guess?
PUMPKIN AND PINTO BEAN CHILI
(Butternut or other winter squash works great too)
1 1/2 c chopped onion
1 1/2 c chopped red or green bell pepper
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 tbsp chili powder
1/2 tsp ground cumin
4 c cubed, peeled pumpkin (about 1 lb, in 1/2 inch cubes)
3 c cooked (or canned) pinto beans
1 1/2 c water
1 c frozen corn
1 tsp salt
1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies, undrained
Heat nonstick skillet over medium heat.
Add onion, bell pepper and garlic.
Cover and cook 5 min or until tender.
Add chili powder and cumin, cook 1 min, stirring constantly.
Place onion mixture into crockpot.
Add everything else.
Cook on low for about 8 hrs or until veggies are tender and chili is thick.
DANA - HUGE cheers to Gabe!!
>ah ha, you're mom is pretty tricky! Her kitties are keeping her up at night with their wild ways so she shipped them over to your place. Got to give her credit though . . .
Heh. That crafty woman!
Chami and Yoyo are now sleeping curled up on my comforter, Mooch is curled up on the blanky on the sofa, and Lulu is being a nut LOL.
That Lulu has so much energy it's hysterical.

Ooh, Merrick's pet foods are supposed to be really good. I can't find Merrick's here unfortunately. Have you seen this website? It has a list of the "safe" pet foods. There are also ratings for many pet foods for nutrition and palatability...

I've seen that link not work before, so if it doesn't, try
http://hubpages.com and then do a search for Safe Dog Food.
>he will put his food in his mouth, carry it on into the living room carpet, drop it on the carpet and then eat it. What is up with that weirdness?
I love Ralphie. What a cutie!
ROBIN -
>you don't mention having to work this weekend. Will you be home?
I'm in town ALL month, woo hoooo! But I was at work yesterday from 3pm to 1am (much of that time is napping on the snake sofa and watering flowers for Oogi LOL). In fact, the next two weeks are all booked for me, so I'll be putting clothing on a lot LOL.
I know I said that I was in Frazzle Two Week a week ago and now I'm saying I'm booked for the following two, but my scary homework work part is over and now I just need to be places to boss at people and tell them they're doing this or that wrong, then whip out my Nintendo DS Lite and act cool.
Shingles! Wow, neat! I hope when you tell people you've got Shingles, that you do it with a heavy Cockney accent. Anyway, I hope it gets better soon. It must be itchy!
JEN - How was the retirement party? Wow, you did some good cleaning! Have a fun nothing day and give the THREE kitties my hellos!
Okay. Tea time! :* :*
