Well...i found out early this morning I am pregnant!
I had my husband pick up a test yesterday and it came back positive.
My period was about a week late, but I had no other symptoms. I had a period last month.

I am new to this, so i'm scared, nervous and excited all at the same time. I will have to call my doctor and get started with all that.

When will i start to expect morning sickness etc? We are guessing i'm about 2-3 weeks right now. But i dont know for sure.

I havent told anyone yet, just my husband..

Congratulations!!!!! You'll find a lot of support here. Check out the girls on the preggo/ttc board. They are great!

Jen, Congratulations!! You were trying weren't you? I thought I remembered seeing you post that before. Aren't you going on RT too? I'm going in July - 28 weeks pg.

welcome to the club!! join us on the checkin!

Are there any foods that are 'unsafe' for me ?
That might be a dumb question. I was making eggs and it popped into my head..
I guess i need to cut back on coffee. I had one cup this morning but it was the light kind (half caff/half decaf).

This is all new to me :)

Yes, I am the one who started the 'discouraged' post since we have been trying for a couple months now :)
Yes i'm going on the road trip! Hopefully I will be feeling alright.
This is my first pregnancy so i have NO idea how it will go or what to expect

Jen, I am so excited for you! I hope you feel well for RT. I know I'll be modifying like crazy but I'd rather do that than be puking again!

You and DH must be so excited!

Congratulations!!!

If you get morning sickness (I never did) it usually kicks in around weeks 6-8.

As for foods, your doctor will give you a list of things that they suggest to stay away from. Some are commons sense (alcohol), and some are more left to personal judgement (ex: my doc told me not to eat any lunchmeat or blue cheese, both of which I've been doing all along and have a healthy little guy in me that's about to visit the world!)

Caffeine is something that I put into that latter category. I've never avoided it at all, but I have never been a regular drinker of soda or coffee, so it was less of a big deal to me.

Best of luck!

Yeah! I was waiting for someone to come in behind me,...I was the newest preggo on check-ins. ;) Congrats!

I just started morning sickness this week (7 weeks). Here I thought that I'd not end up having it,...probably was just too soon. Oh well, tis the "season".
