I received this e-mail from my sister-in-law (Grandma) with this picture. LOOK AT THOSE CHEEKS!!!!
Those of you who aren't familiar with the story: Grace was born on August 28th, but had a stroke on August 30 which affected 2/3 of half of her brain, they estimated. However her progress has been nothing short of miraculous and I will continue to update you all.
From Grandma-----
"The attached
photo has been dubbed "Small but mighty Gracie"...she weighed in at 8lb 2 oz
on October 2nd (from her 6lb discharge weight on 9-13!).
Her Hematology clinic visit went well, with no test results requiring any
intervention. Her developmental screen by the early intervention case
manager didn't identify any areas of concern, and she's slated for her
physical therapy evaluation in 2 weeks. She continues on the phenobarbitol
to control seizures, and will visit the neurology clinic at Children's
Hospital in late November.
She has a "onesie" with the saying "Sleep all day, Up all night, Don't
worry, I won't forget to wake you" ...and she's living by it! Christy and
Matt are happily absorbed in their parental duties
We are all absolutely delighted with this precious little girl and certainly
not taking any little squeak, smile or movement for granted!
Gracie will be Baptized on Sunday, October 28th"
