Just a few pages from my wonderful Mother's Day gift from my 2nd grade DD (who BTW, has a male teacher). It's a bound and laminated book of mouthwatering recipes. A few for your amusement:

Super Brownies:
5 Cups Sugar
5 Cups Brown Sugar
4 Cups Baking Powder
3 Eggs

Directions -
1. Get a bowl and crack 3 eggs into it
2. Scoop 5 cups of sugar into the bowl
3. Add 5 cups of brown sugar
4. Stir in 4 cups of baking powder
5. Put the mix into a pan and bake at 345 degrees for 45 minutes. Serves 6

And one more - for Chili:

4 eggs
1 cup milk
4 1/2 peppers
5 carrots
4 pound beef

Directions:
1. Crack 4 eggs into a bowl
2. Add milk
3. Add peppers, carrots, and beef
4. Stir
5. Put in the oven at 20 degrees for 15 minutes.
6. Remove from the oven and put in the freezer for a couple of minutes.
7. Take it out of the freezer. If it's too cold, bake it again for a couple minutes. Feel it to see if it's just right.

It's a whole collection like this - one recipe from each student('s mom). I laughed until I cried. Just had to share my chuckle.

I'll be walking the Komen 3-day (60 miles) the week after Cathe's RT. To view my webpage go to: https://www.kintera.org/faf/donorReg/donorPledge.asp?ievent=202302&supid=166016627

What a great idea for a book! I bet if the teacher submitted it to a publisher it would get published, I was laughing so much just reading these 2 recipes...

That is funny! It reminds me of an assignment the elementary students get in my district each year around Thanksgiving: to write directions on how to cook a turkey. Some of them start with: chop the head off. One student wrote to cook it "REALLY HOT - 100 DEGREES!"
