OH, a new fitness toy! SO surprised me tonight and stopped by with my BDay present that got delayed by FedEx last week. He got me the Forerunner 305 and I just can't wait to go out and run! Too bad it's like 5 below with frostbite-friendly winds for the next 3 days! LOL

Cathy---yes, this guy IS good! When I opened the gift, I asked him if "I could keep you?" and he thought I meant the Garmin, until I explained I meant HIM! LOL

Cool! I'm sure you'll get a lot of good use out of it. You don't have to wait to go outside to use it! Let it get a good satellite lock (leave it in the wind-shield or something) so it'll set your time and then use it.

I use mine every time I exercise. When I'm doing cardio or weights or running on the treadmill. Just turn the GPS off (press/hold Mode until you get the little menu and choose Use Indoors). I use it to keep track of my HR. And I have a foot pod for it when I run on the treadmill.

Thanks, April, for that tip. SO and I were laughing last night, saying that I should use it on the treadmill and have it read that although I ran for 60 minutes, I went 0 miles! LOL

GREAT present Gayle! Wow, that guy's a keeper for sure! :)

I've been eyeing the Garmin 305, it looks like it's such an improvement over my Garmin 201. ;) Enjoy!
