Good Cardio Workout

Okay guys, I am in the market for a good "gasp" non-cathe cardio workout. I have been focused on the new series since I've got it, and am a little burned out. I like KPC and Kick-Max, but am very burned out on so many blasts. I'm tired.;-) So any suggestions for a no nonsense, kick-box or step workout that is athletic but not full of "blasts"? I am eyeing up Amy Bento and Kelly Coffey-Meyer.

Thanks!

Sally

I love Amy Bento's KBX and HLX. There are blasts but they are not like Imax blasts although, I'm in the learning stages of these and they are still killer cardio! There are premixes where you can do the combo's without the blasts if you like. Fun, fun, fun, and great music. These are tough workouts and they are sweat fests for sure!!! I want to try Amy Bento's Advanced Step Challenge but will wait until Advanced Step Challenge 2, unless I'm fortunate enough to acquire in a trade. I also LOVE Step-Boxing (Kelly Coffey-Meyer), but be warned that there is maybe 37 minutes of cardio total including WU & CD bofore she changes to compound movements and cardio weights for the remainder of the workout. Kelly starts right in with the WU so your heart rate gets elevated quickly. It is fast, fast, fast and fun, fun, fun!!! If you own a bosu the CIA Double Cardio DVD has an awesome bosu cardio workout called Bosu Blast. I love it! It has another workout on there featuring step/floor cardio that alternates between intense core work and total body, functional, toning moves. It is a sweatfest also and is called All Body Cardio. Better Burn Better Buns is a great lower body (no weights) cardio alternative that kind of "gets" ya later. Once you learn to execute the moves properly it is defintely a nice change of pace.

My vote is for Amy Bento Advanced Step. For the same reason you mention above, I bought Amy's workout and Kelly's (Ready, Step, Go). I did Kelly's once and was bored, did Amy's and LOVED it. I really couldn't give you my reasons why. Just a personal preference. The last time I felt this way, I got into Christy Taylor.

My other suggestion is to try spinning or cardio coach or itrain for general cardio workouts (running, bike, stairclimber). I am now finding that any step is seeming stale to me. I guess I'm easily bored.
