Goals for 2007

Cathlete
I'm loathe to call them resolutions, but does anyone have anything they want to accomplish in 2007? Fitness-related or otherwise?

I set the same stupid goal every year, & every year I fail.

My goal is to get my savings account up to a certain level, but Stewart Weitzman & Donald Pliner keep getting in the way.

Okay, I have a few.

Fund my grand-daughter's education at a private middle school.
Finish decorating our new home.
Grow my hair to my shoulders (already started).
Lean out my abs (ongoing).

1. Pay off my credit card (and stop using it for stupid crap)
2. Get back down to 150 and focus on muscle building
3. Be happy with my body---finally
4. Get my laptop going and start writing again.

Yes
Great Question!

My biggest goal for 2007 is to stay addicted to cathe's workouts.
(My biggest goal for today is to keep my 5 yr olds b-day cake atleast 10 ft away from my mouth)
To finish school(mylast year,ya me)
to just live life to its fullest!
To not let negitive people get to me!

Well, That's all I can think of right now!

Amy

1. Start P90X.
2. Move to my new home.
3. Get my own workout room.
4. Pay off my credit cards.
5. Lose 10 pounds.

To live life like it matters. To forgive a little more. To give back a little more. To keep my friends a little closer. Maybe fight for grace and justice a little more.

I know all that sounds syrupy (and I am certainly not the biggest optimist in the world), but, I have to tell you, my 2006 just plain sucked and it literally started the first day of the year. I'm not saying that there wasn't some good, but the bad was just REALLY bad. So, I want so much to start this year thinking of positive things to do, even if they're just little things.

The exercising and diet, well, I struggle with that all the time, and I'm okay with that.

Goals are:

stop obsessing over housework and chores.
build a stronger core
be a little bit more balanced with my workouts
cut the crap out of my diet(sighs)
read a history book
spend more quality time with my girls

(1) Move into new home...less yard to worry about.
(2) Give more so maybe I can get more:p }(
(3) Bike 30 miles instead of 22 which is the max I have done then increase to 40 by end of 2007
(4) Keep going with what I am doing... and get better with pushups and pullups
(5) Try to learn something new everyday and put it to good use
(6) Be happy and peaceful even thru storms and be more grateful
(7) Learn to relax more and then learn to let go of things that clutter my brain.... negative/unproductive
(8) Go on more hikes...eventually get rid of the tv set altogether
(9) Change up things more..music, workouts, habits, etc. Keep things interesting...try something different.

Hi. I am mostly a lurker and beginning with Cathe, but I received my calendar today (it's AWESOME!!!) and my goal is to get healthy and fit, and to learn to love myself and to be strong in body, mind and spirit. I'm going back to Weight Watchers.

I was driving past our funeral home today while getting the mail for work, and on the sign out front is the name of a woman who passed away at age 66. It hit me that I'm 46 and that could be me in 20 years! 20 years didn't seem all that long anymore. My dad passed away at 53. If I have the same fate, I have 7 years left. It got me thinking.

I also want to:
Travel.
Get organized.
Re-decorate my house, outside as well as inside.
Get back into photography.
Refurnish and move my piano that's still at my mom's.
Purchase and learn to play the Psaltry.

Sorry this is so long. I got carried away.

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and God Bless you all!

Sharon

Great topic, Shelley, thanks for getting it started!

I really haven't thought about it because I started working for my goal 2 yrs ago (to lose weight). I will continue to work towards that goal...70 gone, 15 to go!!!
I really would like to increase my fitness, decrease the body fat, increase the muscle definition, decrease the cravings for unclean food.
I also want to work on not resenting my DH for his disabilities (which I sometimes do, I am ashamed to admit).

Hi all,

My goals:

1. to clean the basement and make it into a workout area for me!!!:)
2. lose 50lbs.( I struggle regulary with this one)
3. cook at home more. ( I love takeout!)
4. be more grateful, and appreciative of my loved ones.

New job, new man, possibly a new car, and a new improved body. The second has possibilities and the last is most realistic if I stay motivated.

Hey Jenn,

I like #4. I want to be more grateful and appreciative too. I also want to be more positive.

The more I read the replies, the more things I find I would like to achieve too. This could take awhile!!
