Glove recommendation

I'd like to get a pair of strength training gloves that have a grippy palm, but that still fit with a velcro closure, like the leather-palm gloves I have now.

I tried the NewGrip glove, but it didn't work for me.

Do any of you own Harbinger gloves? Do you like them?

Alia, those gloves look just look mine, which I don't think have a "grippy" palm. The palm is a suede material. I must admit, I'm not sure what Marla means by a "grippy" palm though. Anyway, I really like my Harbingers.

Yes, mine are a suede like material. I assumed Marla meant "grippy" rough like?? I use to have leather and the palm was softer. The pair I have now feel(rough).

I ripped through my nylon Harbinger gloves and also was getting pains in my hands on chest presses. Have had really good results with these.

Hi,

I meant grippy like suede, foam-type material, etc. I checked out the gloves Aila recommended and ordered those (great price). I didn't want all leather palms and these looked great.

I have a pair of Valeo suede gloves and they are foam filled on the palms. They are brown suede with black stretchy part on the top of the hand. They are so very comfortable. I am not sure where you can get them...but I know the store Oshmann's has them.
