A couple of people have asked me for an update on Gizmo, so I thought I'd better get to it. After all, he has a new jacket to show off, as you can see in my avatar. Actually it's too small but we couldn't resist taking a few pics before we took it off. We've been walking more with our dogs and it's going to be getting so cold so I thought he needed something warm to wear. He doesn't have a lot of hair and that wind can really get whippin' out here where we live. Brrrr...
His tongue still sticks out 98% of the time. It's just as dry as it can be, but it doesn't seem to bother him any. I guess that's all he knows. Sometimes he'll get a bird feather stuck right on the tip of his nose and he can't get it because his little tongue comes out sideways when he licks. He requires a little help! He sleeps under the covers now. He's quite content to be as close to me in bed as possible UNTIL DH comes to bed. He LOVES sleeping next to DH (so do I, but oh well!
). Since we were told it was a man who broke his little jaw, it's nice to know that he can trust again. He has the best little spirit. You would never know he had been hurt. He's one of the happiest dogs we've ever had. He's really smart too. I can teach him something in 5 minutes no problem.
His health is really good - no more trouble with his jaw. I think he's finally healed.
We feel so blessed to have him as a part of our family. He's the best!
