Ginseng

Yeah, I took it for 6 months. I noticed no difference in anything at all in my body and health! I am saving my money now......

Oops! No, I tell a lie. I made a mistake, I confused it with Gingko, which is the one I took. That's the one that made absolutely no difference! So, as you were, and sorry for confusion! Erradicate this response someone?!?!?!?!!?

Clare ;-)

I'll share my opinions based on my personal experience. You'll get lots of different opinions on this. Just keep in mind we are all different and do what we feel works for us.

I use it every day. I don't like using it - I'd rather have more natural energy. I don't like putting 'foreign' stuff in my body and I caution anyone considering doing it. Since I have 2 children under 5 and work outside my home, I have to workout when I can. That means getting up at 4:30am 7 days a week. I feel I need it to get through a workout. It works for me and honestly I'm afraid to not use it(you know the theory, "if it works, don't mess with it"?). I completely believe if one eats clean and gets enough rest the body would have enough natural energy we wouldn't even consider ginseng. I'm not there right now, but plan to be there soon.

This is curious. What's in ginseng that it could have possible adverse effects? Has anyone ever read any negative reports? If it helps with energy levels, why would you be anxious about taking it and desire to discontinue? Just curious.

I'm also interested in Clare's question. I occaisonally take it on a weekend when I want to do an extra long workout. Does anyone know if there are any side effects, like increasing blood pressure?

Also, has anyone heard of Guarana? (It sounds like some sort of reptile). What does this one do, and does it have any known side effects?
