Hi Everyone,

I have the following DVD and Equipment:

The Kettlebell Goddess Workout with Andrea Du Cane- I have used this one alot but don't enjoy it, I think its the people in it I guess.

2-15lb kettlebells
1-20lb kettlebell

Advanced Russian Kettlebell with Phil Ross- I haven't used this one yet, but have viewed it. I think I need more kettlebell experience before tackling that one.
I pre-ordered Amy Bento's Kettlebell Dynamics.

I was wondering what kettlebell DVD's are the best and which ones you'd recommend and in order of difficulty?

I'm really excited to find out what you guys would recommend. ;)

Hugs,

Nora

I've heard many people don't like the Goddess dvd, I'm not nearly as devoted to the kettlebells as others here, I only have 2 dvds, and have also pre-ordered Amy's.

I really enjoy the Art of Strength Providence, many people here had suggested that one, and I have the Lauren Brooks dvd, but have only done the shorter routine once, so can't really give a fair opinion yet, but I liked her personality and her form/technique is great.

I like "The Iron Core Way with Sarah Lurie" see link below. She has a 1 minute break between each exercise that some people don't like, but I like it because on some exercises I'm a bit slow and need the extra time and others I like to add a few more reps. She has a 2 vol set, have not worked my way up to vol 2 yet. I use a 15lb kb. I have the Goddess dvd and I can't stand it!

edit: **I see she now has a Vol 3!!!!

I second the Iron Core Way series for a beginner. Then move on to AOS Providence or, if you'd like better instruction and a tutorial get Kettlebell Your Way to a Perfect Body which is also sold on the AOS site. It's a remake of Providence but it's geared more for someone who is just learning in that more form pointers and instruction are given then in the original Providence apparently.

I have the Goddess DVD and seem to be perhaps the only one who likes it. It's not my fave but I definately do use it. It's got 5-7 shorter work outs (about 20 mins a piece) that target a different focus ie lower, upper, f/b, cardio, etc. It is also chaptered so that you can pick and choose the exercises you want to do and create your own work out with them. Like I said though, I may be the only one who around here who has it and actually uses it. LOL

Check out AOS website...

I like Art of Strength. I started with the Kettlebell Clinic, then went on to The Kettlebell Way 1 and 2, and now I'm ready to give Newport a try. The AOS website offers lots of pointers and information.

But I really recommend watching the instruction section of any video before attempting the moves. Many of them contain good tutorials so you can perform the moves correctly and not get hurt.

Good luck and have fun!

Hi everyone!:)

Thanks for the suggestions and advice I welcome all of it. I was wondering about "The Kettlebell Way Volume I" How long is it? Also How long is "The Kettlebell Way II" "The Empire State" is? The Kettlebell Way Volume I remake of Providence, did you feel that it was up to the quality of the original? Is it still great? I'm just curious because there really isn't as much Kettlebell DVD's out there to choose from as there are other types. I know this is a educated crowd so I'm very much interested in everyone's advice and opinions etc...

Thanks for replying, I appreciate it!:D

Hugs!

The Kettlebell Way is exactly the same work out as Providence if that's what you mean so YES, it's just as good! :)

Started with Lauren Brooks

The thing I did that helped me was to go on to youtube and look at the istructors clips. You can search on their names. I could tell I would like Lauren Brooks right away and I do. I started with her DVD first and am very happy I did.

I like the AOS series. You may want to try the AOS Santa Monica. I particularly like that you can select the beginner, intermediate or advanced levels. I Here is the link and the description

Entitled Art of Strength Santa Monica, it was shot, as the name suggests, in Santa Monica, California at the famed and fitness mecca Muscle Beach.

Mixing traditional kettlebell routines with Art of Strength’s new Authentic Strength workouts this DVD is a definite can’t miss. Using everything from kettlebells, to Bulldog Dumbbells and Barbells to Ropes Gone Wild this DVD has everything you could ever want. So you don’t have our barbells and dumbbells? Well don’t worry, each exercise offers alternate versions with traditional kettlebell routines in their place.

This DVD is completely programmable allowing you to select the level (beginner, intermediate, or advanced) as well as the amount of rest between sets.
So you get a fully programmable DVD from the leader in kettlebell training focusing on kettlebell training and Authentic Fitness for just $49.99.

I have AOS Newport and love it. Before I bought AOS I bought the Iron Core Way Vol 2 and absolutely hate it. My next dvd will be another AOS dvd.
