Getting motivated after vacation.

OK Vacation is over as of Monday. I usually wake up early in the morning and workout before my DS and DH get up. I don't know why but I can't seem to get out of bed. I need to get back on track.

Anyone have any motivation ideas? Or maybe I could focus on a new routine to achieve a new goal or something. What do you do?

I usually workout Monday through Friday in the mornings for an hour and Sat. and Sunday sleep in.

Tell me where you live. I'll come over with my megaphone and do my best drill sargeant impression:)

Other than that, I don't really know. Maybe you need a new workout to be excited about? Or try a fun mish-mosh? Try something you haven't done before, like running (if you're not already a runner).

Maybe you could focus on simply getting out of bed at your usual time and take a walk. Are you dreading the getting up or the getting back to exercise? Baby steps.:)

Also, I think having a new workout to look forward to would motivate me (although I'm not a morning exerciser and who am I to give advice about such:) )

Shelley's megaphone would be my best bet.:+

It's the comfy bed and the fact that already the sun is not up when I get up anymore.

I have never done a rotation before...because I only workout 5 days a week. Maybe I'll try that.

It can be hard to get back on track after vacation. I was out of town the first two weeks in July and really didn't do much of anything in the way of working out. I was excited to get back, but I'll tell you, the workout kicked my butt. It only took the duration of that first week to get back on track. As cliche as it sounds, you just gotta do it!

I always try to start back with something easy. Light cardio or a walk as Melody suggested. If I jump back in full force sometimes it's a huge dread factor and I don't want to do it. However sometimes I am fired up and ready to do the tougher ones, it just depends.
