Getting Lean

I have been weight training and exercising for years but I never am able to get lean. My muscle mass always increases, but I wind up looking bigger. I love to challenge my body, but as I grow I just look heavy. How can I loose the puffiness and show my physique better? I've had 3 kids and am in my mid 30's. I work out very hard but I feel like I'm wasting time because the scale just keeps going up and my measurements aren't changing. Please help!

Hi TK! Are you being true to all three of these components:

1) Cardio 4 to 5 times per week (for weight loss)

2)Weight training (two to three times per week)

3) Eating super clean. If you have tried the above with little success, you really need to re-evaluate your intake. Stay away from high starches, high sodium, high simple sugars, high greasy items and highly processed foods. Also make sure that the calories being burned are higher than the calories going in.

Good Luck!

Hi Cathe! How can your circuit workouts fit into this plan? Are they considered cardio or weight training, or can they count for both? Do you need to separate the two components for them to really be effective? I am a fan of circuit workouts, and am looking at buying more of yours, but only if they will help me in getting lean. I appreciate your advice, or any of the educated folks out there!!! Pam

Hi, Cathe,

I have the similar problem. After I have my second child, I started working out two months ago. I am almost strictly in CTX. I can feel my muscle build up underneath the fat layer, which is about an inch. But I don't see the scale drop down and my tummy skin is still floppy. My question is whether CTX is enough for fat burning and tighting up skin purpose? If not, what kind of cardio or weight training I can incorporate into CTX (btw, I love CTX!!)to burn out fat? I only have about 1 hour workout time.

I have all HC series except IMAX 3 & stretch max.
I also have High Step Circuit, High Step Advance Training.

Thanks
