Getting IT DONE FOR September!

Woke up today and did Firm - Body Sculpt Blaster. You know you are out of shape when you can feel one of these wo's. LOL!

Belinda - Great job on your wo yesterday. How are those abs today? Good luck getting your wok in this morning, and hope the doc appt goes ok.

Heidi - What are your plans today?

Workout is done! I skipped the calf raises in D20, too much pressure on my heal. Other than that I had a great workout. My appointment isn't until later this afternoon.

Sherry - wtg, this morning. I don't think you out of shape, you working your body in a different way;) Change is good:p

Good morning Heidi and Sherry,

Yesterday I went to the doc for my heal spur/PF, I got another cortisone shot in my foot You can't get more shots than 3 a year, it will weaken you tissue in your foot. The next step is, he want's me to go to physical therapy. My IT bands and ankle is so tightThe doc was surprised the shot didn't lasted for longer than a few weeks Him and me both I could't sleep last night, I have shooting pain in my foot. This heal spur/PF is the worst I have ever had. I hope getting 3 cortisone shot will do the trick If the physical therapy and the shot doesn't work, I need surgery on my foot. I hope not

I will continue with STS, but will modify as needed. As far as cardio, I will keep it low impact.

Today's workout is: Jessica Smith " Floor Barre" = 31 min.

Good morning!

After hitting the snooze button a couple times, I finally got rolling to squeeze in a wo this morning. However, just as I finished the warm-up, what I would call a rather large spider started making it's way down the basement wall to join me. Hence, the wo ended, assistance was called (tho very slow to respond), and the creature was taken care of. So now my plan is to get in the wo tonight.

Belinda - I hope this cortisone shot works for you. I know how much discomfort you are in. DD is having heel problems, too; had her at the doc yesterday and she starts PT next week. I have a doc appt for me next week so I can start PT for my IT band. I agree with modifying - do what you can with good form.

Heidi - are you holding together better than us?

WO done - dog walk plus Firm Ab Sculpt. No spider interruptus. Do need to get the vacuum cleaner down there tomorrow and remove some little ones.

Today I did:
XT bi/tri premix 1-5
Z ropes #4
the the XT stretch

Happy Sunday!

I've been getting in dog walks, but was still a bit sore from the other day, so gave the muscles a chance to rest and did only stretching. I am so out of shape. Yesterday I noticed the library had JM's new Hard Body, so picked it up and that's my plan for today.

Heidi - How are those Z wo's shaping you up? You do seem to be enjoying them. Great job on your run, too.

Belinda - How's the foot feeling today? When do you start PT? I'm sure that will help work out all that tightness.

Squeezing in all that usual weekend work around the house, too. Catch ya later.

Sherry: Great job on your workouts and DOMS! ;) Have a good workout with JM!

I do love Z! They are great workouts and I am getting the hang of jumping ropes again. ;)
These workouts are quick but get you good everywhere! Cardio and a mix of weights in these. I have lost weight and I am noticing my abs are getting cool (6 pack) definition. ;)

Today I am doing a run and Z WOW #77:

4 X through:

• 1 minute Jump Rope (Or High Knees if you do not have a jump rope)
• 20 Dumbbell Swings (each arm; use a kettlebell if you have one)
• 20 Jump Lunges
• 10 Lunge Twists (each leg)

This workout is about 20min long. THAT'S IT! :)

Belinda: What are your plans for today? :) Or are you in DC with your DD shopping? ;)

Good morning,

Sorry for not checkin in since Friday. I did finish up this weeks STS workouts and Jessica's Smith Fall Challenge. I did modify a lot. For D22 legs, I had to skip the calve raises. As you all know, I had another Cortisone shot for my PF/heal spur Thursday. My achilles/IT bands are killing me, no matter how much I stretch, rest and ice it:mad: I did bought the PF brace from CVS yesterday. I tried the brace last night and it was too painful to use it. :mad: I haven't had a good night sleep since last week. I don't know how to position my leg without hurting it, I am in tears. And it's driving me crazy.If it doesn't stop I have my husband take me to the hospital here in town. I also been taking Ibuprofen and muscle relaxer, nothing is helping the pain/cramping in my heal spur/achilles/IT bands.

Sherry - welcome back! We missed you! I am almost afraid I tore something:eek: I have never been in so much pain:mad:

Heidi - you really liking those Z workouts, good job. One of those day's I will do them.

I been doing lots of stretching for the lower body. Did one this morning and will do another this afternoon.

Belinda - My sympathies! Please rest. I now it's hard to be patient, but have faith that they will help stop the pain. (((hugs)))

WO done - forgot that I also picked up JM Shred It with Weights - so did that plus a dog walk. Getting laundry and housecleaning done, too.

Hi!

I got my wo in early this morning - Firm Turbocharged Cardio Blast - only 20 minutes so not bad for early on a Monday. Dog walks for this evening.

Belinda - glad you are resting and that it helps, if only a tiny bit.

Heidi - JM was ok - hit all the major muscles and I did break a sweat. I like how the library has these when I want to mix things up a bit - saves my wallet.

After sitting on my butt and resting my foot all day, I finally did yoga with Jill Miller Yoga Tune Up Athletic stretch = 20 min (really like that one) and Jessica Smith Shape Pink Power Flat Abs " Abs REHAB" = 10 min.

Heidi - thank you! Yes, he suggested surgery. He wants me to wait 3 - 4 weeks, in the meanwhile he recommended to do physical therapy for my leg, to relieve the pain a little. He thinks a PT can help:eek: We shall see! You getting in some great workouts. Keep up the good work.

Sherry - had a lot of cramping in my right foot last night:eek: My foot is numb:eek: Not sure, if it's from the shot? Took a lot of pain killers last night. Fantastic job on your workout today, enjoy your dog walk later today.

Good afternoon,

This morning I did Yoga Tune Up with Jill Miller "Feet and Ankles" = 17 min. This afternoon I did Yoga Tune Up Quick Fix "Knee Hab" 1 (13 min) and 2 (15 min). Love these workouts, my foot feels great afterwards. I have a doc appointment for my foot tomorrow morning:D

Hi all!

Today was appointments for me. This morning was the dentist, making up for an appointment I had to reschedule due to a business trip out of town. This afternoon was the dr. to get a PT Rx for my IT band issues. And I had to squeeze in some work in between that, too. Made an appointment to start PT next week.

Belinda - those sound like great yoga DVD's - especially if you feel that great afterwards. Kind of like when we use the Trigger Point rollers and balls - working the tension out feels sooooo goooood! Hope the dr appointment goes well. I can imagine that surgery is your last resort option.

Heidi - Did you get in the tri-set upper wo? How's the DOMS today?

Tri Sets done the other day. Yup! have some good ab and upper DOMS from that one!
Yesterday was a run/ab and rock climbing with my son. :) We had a great time!

Today is a Z workout. Trying to decide on which one. LOL! I am sore all over so this will be a tough choice!

Belinda: Sounds like the yoga and stretching is helping your leg and foot quite well. I hope that the PT does too! :)

Sherry: I like free stuff and if you can get some good workouts at the library that is fantastic! :)
Great job on your Turbo charge workout. Good luck with the PT too!

Good morning,

I just came back from the doc. After checking out my right foot and running lots of test. He thinks it's not my foot but my back:confused: He wants me to get an MRI for my back and see a specialist for my back. He doesn't want me to do any kind of workouts, not even yoga. He wants me to rest my foot/back until I see the specialist for my back and the MRI:( This is gonna be hard, not to do anything.

I guess, I am done with STS:( This week is my last week of M2. Wished I could finish up M2. The funny part is, I have no back pain at all:eek:

Heidi - love when you write down the Z's workouts. They look tough and fun. Have fun with your workout today.

Sherry - hope the PT next week will help stretch your IT bands. I never checked out the library here in town:confused: I love free workouts:p You always find JM workouts on youtube too.

My workout is done for today!
Z shred #7:
Warm up with cross fire first. This helped loosen up my hips and legs. Used this for my stretch as well.

Zshred # 7 Breakdown: 4 rounds for time (For the DB I used 15#)
• 15 High-Jumps (jump over your dumbbell)
• 10 Knee Tuck Push-ups
• 15 High-Jumps (jump over your dumbbell)
• 10 Knee Tuck Push-ups
• 15 Suitcase Squat (15 reps on each side, keep your body in one straight line)
• 20 Tricep-Hops (use a chair or any stable support)

Accidently did 20 suitcase squats on round 3. LOL!
Time: 15:20

Did my Ab Challenge: 4 Times at 20 sec. on and 10 sec off:
Leg lifts, leg scissors, plank, flutter kicks, reverse curl and wood chops

Belinda: Wow is that weird or what about your foot/back issue. Not sure what to say to that one. Is this a second opinion by a different Doc?
I sure hope they figure out what the heck the story is and fix it! :)

Heidi - not only I have pain in the bottom of my foot, it goes all the way up to my hip/thigh area. I also have numbness/tinkling in my foot. I don't know, if you remember but a few years ago, I had slipped disc or Herniated Disc. A herniated disc can interfere with nerve function, leading to weakness, numbness, or pain in a leg or arm. Mine are all in my right leg. It's worst at night, when I lay down. I will get a second opinion;) I do have pain shooting from my hip all the way down in my toe. My foot doctor is the one that is sending me to a specialist for my back.
