Getting it done for December!!

Hi all!

CC Banquet was tonight, so you know what that means . . . no wo. Way too many days in a row. I really need to transition to morning wo's to get them done.

Belinda - Hope the dr visit goes ok tomorrow. Glad you backed off on the walks a bit.

Heidi - How are you doing?

Heading to bed in a bit, and setting my alarm for the a.m. Sigh! I've done it before.
 
Good afternoon ladies,


Went to the podiatrist this morning, he wants me to stay completely of my feet for the next 2 weeks:confused:.Not sure how I am going to do that? I have a bone spur and a bad case plantar fasciitis going on. No high impact, haven't done any in a long time. He told me to wear insoles for all weight bearing activity, with good spportive shoes and not to go barefoot, even around the house. I couldn't do that anyway, my foot was killing me every time I tried:confused:. Ice 2 times a day, rolling a frozen plastic water bottle under my affected heel for 10 min. And he gave me 2 stetches, yeap... 2:eek: he wants me to do those 4 times a day. He gave me some pain meds twice a day, for 2 weeks. That's it! I ask him about waking and yoga? No walking, no yoga:eek:. Absolutley nothing!! I can use the ellipctical machine or a bike only for short periods of time. He wants my foot to relax for the next 2 weeks. If I don't see any improvement after 2 weeks, he wants to give me cortisone shots.


My son isn't doing any better. His toe is broken, but know a bone broke off. My son saw the same doc, he wants DS to stay off his feet too. He may need a cast for his foot soon..


I stilll will finish STS, even if it kills me:eek: That's all I am going to do. Work my abs and do STS!

Sherry - you have a lot going on. Hope you get a workout in. How is your foot doing?

Accomplishment for the day is getting in a walk with the dog. Considering how it's been lately, that is great! I really need to transition to a before the rooster crows kind of person - think I'll try that while I' slow down for the holidays. It's the end of the semester for DH, so he's tied up with grading research projects and writing finals. And the kids' activities only slowed a bit - a banquet here, a parent meeting there . . . just another week and we'll get to breathe!

Belinda - How is doing nothing with your foot going? I can sense your frustration. I'm sure all upper body stuff is ok, but might need to watch it on the lower - don't think that quite complies with dr's orders. I am impressed with how dedicated you are - getting your workouts it despite what most would consider a valid excuse.

Yay! A wo today! Brisk dog walk followed by Firm Cardio Sculpt Blaster - a wimpy wo, but could get it done quickly and still get dinner going.

Sherry - good job on that walk today. I have no workout to report:( DH will not let me do anything..... I am going crazy. Tomorrow I will try to get my UB workout in. I will not do any LB wokout. Resting my foot is helping alot.

Busy here as usual. Yesterday and today was a bust for any w/o due to a bad migraine. I hope it is gone tomorrow.
Mon. I did MM and tues was runervals 6.0.

Belinda: sorry to hear about yours and your sons foot issues. I know how hard it is to do what the doc wants but try your best because it will only help get you back on your feet.

Sherry: your schedule sounds like it is getting less hectic for you. I am in the same boat with no real exercise plan in mind other than to try to get something in at least once or twice a week. I hope you can get your workouts in earlier because that used to work for me . my dh is home late in the mornings now and my last child is out of school so that's the end of my early morning w/o's. I will be lucky I'd I find the time before I have to go to work. Just too much to do these days it seems.

If my head is ok tomorrow I would like to do a circuit w/o. This should hit everything in a short time. ;)

Hi all!

Just the right amount of stiffness this morning to let me know my body is happy I finally got my act together. Plans are for a short run right after work today.

Belinda - I'll bet you are going crazy, but it's all for the best. If you rest it, I'm sure you'll be back at it all sooner. Enjoy the focus on UB. Maybe throw in an old UB favorite on a "leg" day? Can you do abs?

Heidi - just like you, I'm glad to get something done when I can. Will try to adjust to mornings while I'm off over the holidays.

Dog walk, 2 mile intervals on treadmill on socks, and finished with TBS#1.

Got up with DH as he left for his soccer, and I did TBSculpt - short but effective, and got it done already!

Now for the usual this time of year busy-ness. Whatever you do, make it a good one!

Morning Heidi and Sherry,

I am still here! Just taking it easy. I did D25 on Friday, these one was easy on my feet. Today I plan on doing abs and an extra UB workout, thanks to Sherry:D

Sherry - glad you had fun at the soccer game. Good job on your UB workout, will pull that one out next week.

Heidi - good job keeping up with your workouts. How is your mom doing?

WO's done today, too! I'm on a roll! :) dog walk, 2 mile barefoot (well, in socks) interval run on TM, and finished with TBS.

Have to go out of town this week, so hope I can keep this up while I'm on the road.

Belinda - Glad I could help inpsire you. What was your choice or torture? :D

Heidi - Hope your headaches are gone. Did you get something done today?

As for the rest of the day, still finishing up laundry, and heading out for a quick grocery trip. Weekends just aren't long enough.

Today's plan: Body fusion. Yesterday I did an interval TM run of 3miles.
The afternoon was spent with my Mom. :)

Belinda: She is doing well thank you for asking. :) How was your workout yesterday? What are your plans for today?

Sherry: Great job with your workouts this weekend! Have safe travels this week! I hear ya on the weekends not being long enough. Just so much to catch up on from during the week. My weekends are spent much like yours...although I don't have to add running around kids to their games. ;)

Today I will do D28 plus abs.

Cookie - yes, I was hoping to get D37 in yesterday, not with my family. LOL! I will catch up on my leg workouts the end soon. It's all good. I am hoping to get a walk in soon. Good job on your walk yesterday.

Heidi - glad to hear your mom is doing well. No workout yesterday. I am not doing well in the workout wise. Arr....
Sherry - safe travels this week. Good job keeping up with your workouts.

Run done! iTread #1 20 min + iStretch Athletic 10 min. Feels so good to start the day off this way. Yesterday nothing - day started too early and way too long.

Looks like we're picking it up lately. High fives! Gotta get ready for XTrain!

Belinda: Nice job yesterday on D28! :) I know being injured is no fun but you will get back to it soon as long as you try to do what the Doc asks. I have been there way too many times and I feel for you for sure. Try biking or use the ellpitical like the Doc suggested. You can get a great cardio/leg workout with these without hurting your foot. :)
Speaking of foot....how is your sons situation? Did he end up with a cast?

Sherry: Great job on your run and stretch! Getting your workout done in the morning does get the mind and body moving. ;) I can only do workouts early because later I am just too exhausted from the typical days chores.

Yesterday I did Body Fusion and sweated buckets! I added on the stability ball abs as well. :) Even though these are older workouts and for beginners they are still surprising to me how much you get out of them.

Today will be Basic Step and abs. Maybe do a bike workout as well. :)
I am following the June Double Header rotation from 2004.

I ended up doing a brisk hilly outdoor walk of 3.5 miles this afternoon because the weather was warm. :)

Yesterday I was resting my foot and watching tv:eek: Today I will do UB instead of legs. Friday I will do D30.

Heidi - I wished I could take a walk:( I am listening to the doc, resting my feet all week long. I am bored:mad: started reading a book;) DS will get a cast the end of this month if his toe isn't getting any better with resting. Have fun with the June 04 rotation.

Sherry - great job with your run, girl!

STS TB premix is done! Short and sweet!


This morning was thinking about cancelling my Xtrain preorder.The clips just don't appeal to me. I was watching the clips at least 10 times on Collage videos and these look very similar to her other workouts. Lots of jumping:confused: DH thinks I should keep them:eek: I am so torn.



Will work my abs tomorrow.
