Getting it done for August!!!

Morning girls,

I did S+H Bic + Tric/abs last night. Today I will finish up w/S+H legs/shoulders. Not sure, what I wll do next week.

Heidi - good job, on your chest/tric workout. Have fun with Bob today. Need to pull that one out again. Your rotation looks good.

Sherry - haven't done TTM yet, will do that one next week. Good job. My HR was up there the entire time.

We only got the celling done yesterday. Ended up in Home Depot for more paint, since I decided last min ...I wanted to change the color in the living room/ceiling. LOL!

I will try to be back later.
 
Hi all!

Well, wo is done, but not sure it was a good one. 4 mile run, which started off as a run but then ended with more walk. Heat and humidity were getting to me. Also, 1 mile dog walks before and after and finished with StretchMax #3. Might go again this evening for a couple of miles just to prove I can do it.

Here's my wo plan for the week, thanks to Hal Higdon:

Mon - stretch & strength
Tues - 3 mile run
Wed - cross train
Thurs - 3 mile run + strength
Fri - rest
Sat - cross train
Sun 4 mile run

I plan on using strength days for LB, since I think the rear could use it, and I think TTM and CF are perfect for cross train days, 'cause they really get my heart going and have some UB work, too.

Heidi - LOL on the "too many UBWO's"! Are you getting some nice guns from them? Nice plan for the week. Which rotation are you doing?

Belinda - Nice job on the S&H's. I do like those wo's, too. LOL on the painting! Everytime we redo a room, I think I go a bit sample happy. Never like the first color that I pick out, and seems to take 3 or 4 squares painted on the walls until I figure out what I want. LOL!

Normal weekend stuff for the rest of the day - groceries, weeding, probably some laundry. DD wants to go shopping but can't find a friend - not sure I have it in me to go with her just yet. We'll see what happens.

Hey girls,

Didn't do anything besides helping DH paint. The ceiling took two coats of paint, what a pain:confused: We couldn't started painting the walls until the ceiling was dry, we had no idea if it took another coat?? Well, I been playing around with the color gray for a long time. Wasn't sure, if my husband would like it! Yesterday when I mentioned gray at Home Depot to DH, he was like no:eek: Once I showed him my vision...he was like that looks great:p Oh, did I mentioned I also changed (instead of a white ceiling) I picked a total different color for the ceiling too:eek: Once we finish with the living room I will post a pic;) Now, I have to find a color for my kitchen.....which is our next project:p I can't decide on a color:eek: What color is your kitchen.

Sherry - your plan for next week looks great. Good job on your run + dog walk! I wasn't sure, if I like the color either in my living room, but I do:)

I need to relax, good night girls! Oh, tomorrow I will do Cathe's Aug rotation!
 
Hey Belinda, Sherry, and Heidi!

You girls are really rockin' it out! I'm glad you are all keeping up with your workouts because I haven't been. This week I think I only did two "workouts". My eating has been decent though so no damage other than my mood has been suffering! :p

Belinda - You got the new Cathe workouts? Don't you just love them?!

Sherry - Your workout plan for the week looks like a good one! Sports are over with now right? Are you enjoying your time with your family before it starts all over again? :)

Heidi - Can you lift your arms over your head to wash your hair? With all of that UB work you are going to have rockin' tank top arms!

Summer classes are now officially OVER!! YAYAYAYAYA! I'm so super stoked that I only have 4 more classes to go! My plan is to start the August rotation tomorrow so I need to get to bed asap tonight. At work they are making us work over time - unfortunately we are salaried so I call it "free time". So my schedule is still messed up now because of that, so boo! Hopefully I will have something to report tomorrow for you all...

Ok, I made up my mind on a rotation, I will do Cathe's Aug rotation. Like how she mixed all the workouts up. Should see nice results too. I will do LIS today. Haven't done that one in ages.

I did S&H Bic + Tric on Saturday. Yesterday I was paining all afternoon.

Karen - looks like you and I will start the Aug rotation together today:eek: that should be fun! I LOVE the new workouts, they are so much fun. What was I thinking?:confused:

Morning!

A great job to you all on getting in your workouts over the weekend. Yesterday i didn't get to my cycle ride until after 7PM.
Spent the day catching up on laundry. Been hectic lately at work.

Today turned out to be CF instead of TTM. My legs were fried from the bike and I wanted to be careful with my knees. So stepping was out of the question. I also skipped the plyo tabata at the end.

Tomorrow is ME! I also added in an easy cycle workout. Either that a run... ;)

Beinda: LOL! I have tons of color cards but can't decide on anything! ;) Sounds like it will all come together just fine and look great when you are finished. :)
My kitchen is blue counter tops, honey oak cabinets and a canary yellow wall paint. DH keeps talking about redoing the kitchen layout....still thinking. ;)

I thought about changing my rotation for Aug. but already have two in my calendar! LOL! Right now I am finishing up July's. I will be following an STS undulating rotation by christosz starting next Monday. I mixed in different cardio on the off days.

Hey Karen!: YEAH! Your classes are out. :) Boo on the work load. ;) Have a great workout tomorrow!!!! Do you workout before work or after? I find that I have to get it done in the morning or not at all. Just too tired after work.

Hi Sherry! Oh this heat is terrible! I won't even attempt an outdoor run at this point. Good job getting out there just the same!
You have a great schedule too! :) Looks doable with your crazy schedule too.
So did you end up shopping with your DD? Your kids must be getting ready for school again. It goes by so fast!

All I can say about my upper workouts is....Yup I have some great definition for sure. ;) Those sliding disc push-ups are now a breeze! LOVE IT!

Hi all!

Today's wo's: 1 mile dog walk and Butts & Guts timesaver premix done earlier this evening, then Yoga Relax this evening cause legs were getting stiff. that was done with the DVD in the computer while I watched the Olympics on the TV, so not sure how relaxing it was (at least I didn't do it during the soccer game).

Belinda - Love your painting stories! Surprised you can do any at all if you've been doing S&H! In our current house, the previous owners had painted all the ceilings to match the background of whatever wallpaper was in that particular room. Once we took the wallpaper down, I couldn't wait to paint the ceilings white to brighten things up. Can't wait to see all the pics!

Karen - YAY! You have a life again! At least for a few weeks. But the end is in sight! Too bad about the extra hours. Hopefully it won't last too long. And you've been having some fun along the way . . .

Heidi - Your kitchen sounds quite colorful! Mine's 70's contrast - dark walnut cabinets with white counters and backsplashes. One day we'll get around to redoing it. Yes, DD and I did go shopping the other day, and actually enjoyed ourselves, with no arguments over clothes. Gotta enjoy those days when they happen.

Don't think I'm making it until the end of the broadcast, so saying goodnight. The kids have CC practice in the a.m., too, so doesn't look like they'll last much longer either. Running in the heat is getting to them also - which in this case is a good thing 'cause they don't stay up all night.

I will do LM today. We had to put another coat on the wall yesterday, those walls soaking up the color? I looked at the walls this morning and they look great. Today we can start on the trim. My son and DD will come this weekend, still have lots to do.

Sherry - we looked at homes here in our area, some peoples color are awful. The color in our house wasn't awful, but I wanted the house to reflect me. For so many years living in military housing, the wall were white or pastel colors. I wanted something different. LOL watching tv while doing yoga! How are your legs feeling?

Yesterday I did Afterburn! Today is our yoga class so no workout this AM like normal. After my workout yesterday my LB is really sore today. Just goes to show how "out of shape" I am from the Cathe Butt Kickin'!

Belinda - I am doing the august rotation with you but I am starting with week four! :p With just getting back into the swing I needed some shorter workouts so that I would be able to get them in even if I overslept. (that never happens, eh?)

Sherry - Yes, it is nice to have a life again! Even if it is for a short while. We did a overnight bike/camping trip over the weekend which was really nice and relaxing (even though it did rain for a little bit). The downfall of the weekend was that we were watching our neighbors dog while there were out of town (he went camping with us) - they got back yesterday and Taco (their dog) was just out of sorts. They had to take him to the emergency puppy clinic last night. I don't know what happened to him, but I guess he has something that starts with a "P" (can't remember). He is on some medicine and is eating again. But I feel horrible about it! I feel like I failed them with taking care of him, even though I did as instructed. HOpefully he is back to normal asap....

Heidi - I usually have to work out in the AM before work otherwise I don't get my workouts in either. Keep us posted on how you liked July's rotation. I almost picked that one to start as well, but then decided on Augusts. Good job with the bike ride the other day and CF (love that one too!) Did you order the latest Cathe workouts Xtrain?

I did LM awhile ago. Forgot how much fun this one was:) :)I was not looking forward doing cardio for 70 min, but the time flew by:eek: I burned 733 cal, I was suprised:p

Karen - today wasn't a good day for me, I was so tired all day long. Took the dogs for a nice long walk and it wooped my butt. Maybe I should have started with week 4 too. I think W1 D1 & 2 are the hardest and the longest wo in the Aug rotation. Looking forward to Pyramid UB tomorrow. My legs need a break.

Sherry - how are you dog doing in that heat? It took everything out of mine today, the humidity was awful today. I had sweat running down my face:confused:

Heidi - how are you doing today?

It didn't seem that hard, but I was dripping with sweat. My booty was really sore this morning from Yoga last night. Tomorrow is Turbo Barre - another one I haven't really done...

The week seems to be going by really quickly. I guess that is a good thing since I'm at work, eh? Got my grades for my classes this summer - two A's - yay!

Sorry Belinda, I'd write more but don't think I'm allowed to do that while driving. :)

Yesterday - no wo - one day trip with lots of driving, so worn out at end of day.

Today - no wo - up and at the airport before the sun came up, then had to leave that location and drive a few hours so I can be at the next one early in the morn. Had a choice tonight - run on the treadmill, or chill with a glass of wine and dessert (hey, the dessert was free) - obvious which one I choose.

Tomorrow should be better, so that run I should have done yesterday will get done them, and maybe even today's cross trianing, which will be in the form of Travel Fit (which is always in my suitcase). :)

Belinda - I totally agree about LM. I usually don't think I want to commit 70 minutes to a wo, but when I do choose that one, I'm always so glad I did. Nice job on PUB today, too. Tat's one of my faves!

Karen - Get ready for your booty to be talking to you! TB will do just that. If you were with me, that good report card would get you some ice cream! :)

Time to get some sleep. See ya tomorow, when I really will get in a sweat!

Hi all! Happy Thursday!

Got my butt in gear tonight and went for a 2 mile run, on the treadmill at the hotel while watching the olympics. Not one of my best, but struggled thru it. My runs have really been off lately. if I can slow down on the travel and get to some kind of schedule, I expect they'll improve.

Belinda - nice job on L&G. I haven't done that one in a while.

Argh! One of those weeks..... I feel for you Sherry with all your driving and plane travels!

Yesterday was a long cycle workout. Today I will attempt a workout from LovingFit.

Sherry: Glad you got in your run. Maybe all this humidity is getting to us all? It saps all my energy.

Belinda: Great job on L&G! How are those legs and biceps today? :) I love LOVE LM too! Just so much fun. ;)

Karen: Awesome! Great job on your grades! Nice job on your circuit blast workout. Have fun with Turbo Barre. It gets your booty good! :)
Oh Karen! How is the Pup doing by the way? The pup might have been either coming down with something or already had it before you took it. Just like babies they get sick out of the blue....
