Getting it done for April 30 - May 6, 2012

Cathlete
Morning ladies,

Thanks for asking & all the prayers about my husband. He is home and doing well:)

Saturday I did S&G cardio only plus Bast segment only from LIC. Yesterday I did TriSets UB splits only. The only thing I didn't do is Yoga Max Express, I will do that one today or this week.

Not sure, what I will do this week? Maybe I will do a Bob Harper rotation?

I will be back to report my workout.

Have a wonderful day and workout, girls!

Hi all!

Belinda - so glad your DH is home and doing ok. Looks like you are getting some wo's in, too, so good for you. If you are thinking BH, talk. To Wendy. Sounds like she can give you the lo down on each wo.

Me - my glutes are talking to me today. Not extremely loudly, but quite often, as in everytime I move. Wo plans are a 4 mile easy run this evening. That should loosen them up.

Heidi - what do you have going on today?

BBL after I get my run done.

Quick check in for me: I did Bob Harper Inside out M...." Burn (weight wo). 60 min. I really liked it, got a good burn. I will this rotation for the next 4 weeks.

DH isn't doing so well today:( hope he feels better tomorrow.

Sherry - good job on your glutes doms! Have fun with your run this evening.

Heidi - what are your plans?

I will be back in the morning!

Hello Girls!

Checking in a little late...

This morning was STS #7. Man my arms were shaking after! ;)

Belinda: So glad to hear that your DH is home and doing well. :) Nice job getting in some workouts with all that has been going on.

Sherry: So...butt is talking back to you eh? ;) What is it from? Nice job and love that feeling too that you did a great workout. ;)
Have a good run this evening! Running always helps me too. :) It's weird but true.

I have been searching all over this site for the STS 3 1/2 month rotation link for a friend. I was going to print it out but can't seem to find it! So frustrated....
Do either of you have the link? ;)

Thank you Belinda but I have been looking and haven't found it yet. I wish it was a stickies near the top... Must be located in the way beginning of this forum.

I'll keep looking...

Have a good night. :)

Good morning!

Got in my run last night - but on the TM in the warm dry, empahsis on dry, basement as opposed to the cold rainy outdoors. Even though both kids had track practice in the rain and then DD had soccer practice in the rain, I wimped out. I did a 4 mile steady state run (while being entertained by the Voice) and had enough left in me for a sprint finish. :)

Took a mile to get the legs warmed up last night, then they felt great. But this morning . . . STS D3 DOMS still hanging around! Tonight's plan is D4, which will be after DS's track meet. At least it's not raining and is supposed to get warm. Track meets in the rain are no fun.

DH should be getting the lemon garlic chicken going in the crockpot. (It's finals week for him so he's home grading exams.) We really like this particular recipe (got it from WebMD). Need more recipes like it.

Belinda - I might need to try some BH since both you and Wendy like them. I'm sure DH will have some off days, especially if he's trying to move around more.

Heidi - you could also download the STS 3-1/2 month rotation into the WO mgr and print it out for your friend. What rotation are you doing now?

Back to work and I'll catch up with you later tonight.

Morning!

Belinda: What's your plan for today? :) How is DH doing now that he is home? Will he be going back for PT?
How is your wrist doing by the way? Do you still plan on having an operation soon for that or your sinuses?

Sherry: Great job on your run last night! :) Oh that is fantastic that DH is cooking dinner..HEHE. ;) Mine did last night while I visited with a friend. I was trying to find that 3 1/2 month STS rotation but all I found was the mixed STS/shock cardio or STS with different cardio options.
When DD was in CC and Winter/Spring track it was miserable having meets in the rain. I feel for you and the kids. They must be almost done for the season when school is closing next month right? Will you have the summer off from sports or do they do summer camps?

Super!!! tired today! I didn't sleep very well...I also have upper DOMS from STS #7. Now it is raining which of course totally saps my energy and ambition. I had LIS turbo barre on tap today...but might just run this evening instead. I will include an STS ab workout as well.

I am still following the Jan: STS/LIS 3 month rotation and I only have this week and next before I move on to another rotation. Thinking of a J.M rotation but I have yet to checkout Cathe's latest for this month....if there is one. ;)

Do you both have the BH inside/out DVD's now? ;) I only have a yoga wo by him. It is a good one too! :)

Well off to do something....probably take a rest first. HEHE

Have a great day and workout!

Hi all!

Today is a run day - 400's. I am having fun pushing myself on sprint days.

Didn't get in D4 last night, so that's moved to tomorrow. No DOMS today so think body appreciated the rest.

Giving myself a goal to lose 10 #'s by the end of school (mid-June). Already down 10 this year, and ready to keep going. With weights getting heavier and runs getting more intense and longer, think I'm primed to get there . . . as long as I focus on eating.

Heidi - how are your DOMS today? LIS can get the glutes real good. Did you decide on a rotation?

Belinda - how is your BH rotation going? How is DH doing? When is he starting PT? What about your own surgery plans?

Catch up with you later.

Hello Belinda and Sherry! :)

Belinda: You must have your hands full...... hope DH is doing well with his recovery.

Sherry: Nice job on your weight loss! :) I think the heavier weights and runs will help you meet your goal very quickly. If you can get your meals planned or even cooked ahead for yourself it would really work for you.
Have a great run tonight!

Well....LOL! I still haven't checked out Cathe's May rotation! So I sort of have my JM discs laid out to start that one. ;) I do still have another full week of my current rotation to go. My next one will start on the 14th of May.

So yesterday I ended up just doing an itread #1 20min w/o as a walker. I was just totally exhausted and working out wasn't in the picture.

I AM SO SORE in my upper still! I did Turbo Barre....72min worth this morning. The upper portion got me really good again. I started off with the 5's and by the time she was on to the shoulders I just had to drop to 3's. OOOF!

I started laughing as I walked around to change sides on the tower for legs....my legs were wobbley! LOL Oh I am going to be a hurtin critter tomorrow for sure!

All in All glad that I made myself get down there to get it done...I didn't sleep all that well again. I figured maybe it would wake me up. IT DID ALRIGHT! LOL

I got dinner into the crockpot by noon and did some errands. Work has been slow lately so this leaves me time to do some other house stuff I usually leave to DH. I HATE GROCERY SHOPPING! ;)

Have a great evening!

Hi all!

Run done - sort of. Didn't run all of the 400's on the schedule because getting side stitch - haven't had those lately. Plus a dog walk. So better than nothing.

Heidi - Just so we are in agreement - I ALSO HATE GROCERY SHOPPING! Good job today doing the UB portion of TB even though you were still feeling it. Should be all nice and achy(sp?) tomorrow. And I think a down slower day (your walk yesterday and my fewer intervals today) is ok once in a while.

Cathe posted that she won't be putting together a May rotation 'cause she too busy getting the new DVD's going.

Dropping down to the 3's reminded me of the RT where she said that at home we'd be using 10's not the 5's, but i could have done just fine with 3's!

Belinda - Hope everything is alright.

Catch you tomorrow.

Good morning girls,

Sorry, for not checking in the last 2 day's:( DH is keeping me busy:confused: I don't remember if I mentioned it, this week I started doing Bob Harper Inside Out Method rotation. Those are tough:p I like them. This is what my week looks like:

Tuesday - Rest
Wednesday - Body Rev/ Cardio Conditioning ( I almost puked on that one:()
Thursday - Yoga For The Warrior ( will that one today)
Friday - Rest

Since I have a few rest day's, I will try to get a run next week. We shall see!

I will try to be back tomorrow.

Hi Sherry: Yup down time is well needed and deserved. ;) Nice job on your run...you must be pretty exhausted lately with all the running around and business trips. I hope things slow down when school lets out for you.
TOO FUNNY on the grocery shopping and I am glad I am not weird. HAHA!
DH can just go in and get stuff...me I have to make a list and plan etc. Well I guess I get what I want that way and not just potato chips. HAHA!
I hope you have a great day and workout tonight. STS tonight? ;)

Ok that is good to know on the rotation... guess it will be JM for the next month or so. :)

Belinda: Great job on your workouts even with keeping busy with DH. :) Have fun with the yoga! I have this one and the first time I did it I only did 30min worth. Last week I did it and made it all the way through. It is great! :) I will be adding this on Sunday's alternating between JM yoga on my next rotation.

Ok: Plan for today is an easy run interval using runervals 1.0. This should help my legs loosen up...YUP sore from yesterday's TB. ;) All good and my upper is getting better too.
Friday is AT
Sat: STS #8
Sunday: another run possibly.... will see how my legs are doing by then. ;)

Have a good one!

Quick post to say D4 done. Have I mentioned how much I don't like push-ups?

Heidi - nice run today!

Belinda - how ya hangin' in there?

Catch up with you more tomorrow!

Hey Sherry, Belinda, and Heidi!

Sherry threatened me with another Cathe Butt Kicking if I didn't get back to the checkin - so here I am! I don't know how frequent I will be posting, but I did want to stop in and say hello.

I was following Cathes Sept 2011 rotation for the last few weeks, but this week has been kind of a mixture of that and bodyrocks 30 day challenge that just started. I'm not sure what I'm really doing, but I'm trying to do something. :p

Sherry: How is STS going?

I hope everyone is well...I will try to check in more often. Being kept accountable is probably just what I need. :)

Have a great weekend everyone,

Karen

Good morning!

No DOMS today. Kind of bummed. I know I'm not going as deep on the push-ups because it can bother my wrist, but thought I'd feel something. Nothing in the shoulders either. Oh well.

Today is a tempo run day, so that'll work the legs and heart. The runs are getting longer, so harder to hold the "desired" pace. But haven't had any knee pain, so very happy about that.

What are you plans for the day?

Karen - nice ta see ya! Glad you stopped by! Was just thinking about messaging you. School's gotta be just about over. DH had to get grades turned in this week. Hope you keep coming by, even if not every day!

Sherry - I will try my best! Spring semester will be over the end of next week - then I've got two summer classes starting June 5th. I just keep repeating to myself "just one more year, just one more year....". :)

Hi Sherry! LOL I am with you on that one! I am still paying for those on STS #7!

Great job getting it done! :)
