Getting it done for April 2-8, 2012

Hi all!

Run done! Tonight was a tempo run. I didn't push it as hard a s last week, so it was a good run. Also stretched and rolled the IT band afterwards. Need to do that religiously. Don't want anymore knee problems like last year.

Adjusted my 1RM's in the WO mgr, so tomorrow's D2 and next week's repeat should be better workouts. Really not feeling it much today, and I do remember how much I did feel it last year. Actually proud of how well I've been conditioning myself (pat's self on back). Regardless, Cathe's gonna do me in next weekend!

Belinda - LIS LIC is a good one. And I appreciate the more straightforward choreography, too. Some are so complex that I really don't do them because I'd have to relearn them. (Hence why DH says I don't need more if I ahve some I don't do.) I need to use the push-up bars so I can do some on my toes, then drop down to my knees for the rest.

Heidi - I picked up Tosca's Eat Clean Diet Cookbook. Now I just need to actually make those healthy dishes. What was your wo today?

I am up early!! DH and one of my dogs are snoring! It's gonna be a long day, I can tell already. Hate day's like that!

Sherry - well done with your run! I agree on the straightforward choreography like in LIC LIC. I don't get way some people saying this one is complex:eek: I had no problem with that one. It was a lot of fun too! Let me know how you like Tosca's cook book.

Yesterday I ended up with a rest day. I did do housework and of course this added to my major upper DOMS! OI! My back!

Awesome job on Disc 1 and needing to up your weights. ;) I had to do the same when first starting back on STS. Doesn't it feel great the progress you have been making? :) Great job on your run as well and keeping up the stretching. I have found that this is really important for my calf.

I have that cookbook also. I will have to go back to see what recipes I tried and which I actually enjoyed. Getting some of those ingredients became a little expensive in the end.

Not sure what I will do today....just SO SUPER SORE in my upper! EEK!

Morning Belinda!

Awesome job on the LIS w/o's so far! It will grow on you for sure! I am really enjoying that series too. :)

I woke super early...1 am!!! Darn it! I had a hard time falling back to sleep as well. Of course I get my best rest when I HAVE to get up and fall back asleep. LOL!

I have Tri lower on the schedule too. :) I also am watching for that new Dueling TM w/o from liveexercise.com to come out at 1:30. I wanted to peek at that to see what it was all about. I will most likely do that one tomorrow.

Well I guess I have made up my mind....Tri Sets Lower it is seeing as it is on my schedule and my upper is to fried for anything else.

I am DONE with LIS TRI Lower Body. PHEW! That was a good one and I was a little wobbley getting up from the basement for sure!

Hi all!

It's a holiday for me, so no work today. So of course I took advantage of the time and schedule and oil change for the car first thing this a.m., then got DS off to track practice, ran to the grocery store, doing laundry, and snuck in Low Impact Step for some extra cardio. D2 still on the schedule for today, but wanted to get the hauling around done before I work the back and triceps hard.

Belinda - did you take advantage of being up early and get your wo's done? How are the LIS wo's doing for your wrist?

Heidi - So is your LB now as sore as your UB? Dueling TM you say? Hmmm . . . today is not a run day, but that sounds fun. Let me know what you think. I will try to check it out, too.

Off to keep getting things done around the house today. Check back in with ya later after I get the chance to lift.

Ok so yes I am officially sore from head to toe today. HAHA! :) My plan was for that dueling TM workout but haven't got the time just yet so maybe later this afternoon.

Sherry: Your day sounds like mine was yesterday....errands and the usual run around to the grocery store. Nice job on LIS :)
Have a great workout today with D2! I will let you know on the TM w/o. I did peek at it yesterday and it reminded me of another DVD I have. It is only 20min long so I think it is more or less for beginners. I will do an extra TM run with a runnervals w/o and abs.

Belinda: How are things going with you? How is your DH doing? When is the surgery??? Coming up soon I think.... Good luck to him!

Today we are putting up the trim in my son's room. Tomorrow we go out to check out bedroom sets. :)

Hi all!

Let's see . . . D2 did get done. Went heavier and it was just perfect weight wise. Used the tower for pull-ups and liked that better than using a chair with the chin-up bar. However, today my left wrist is bothering me a bit. I'm thinking I should try lifting straps for when I'm doing back work especially, because that's when I think it's taxed the most. Have either of you tried them?

Also, decided that I need more than one day of LB work, so pulled out the Butt Blaster Bonus (BBB) and Bonus Butt Workout (BBW) from old Cathe rotations to through in on the UB days.

As for today, started off with 2 soccer games for DD. Have the lemon garlic chicken in the crock pot for dinner. DS is making cinnamon rolls from scratch for tomorrow's brunch. House is getting clean. And the weather is perfect for a long run. Wonderful day!

Heidi - At least I don't need to use the UB much for my run. Love the feeling in the muscles when they've been well used.

Belinda - What are your plans today?

Hi Sherry and Belinda:

Ok...So much for the thought of that TM workout being for beginners. LOL! Start of with a warm-up, run at a good speed like 6.0 and increase grade from 0,5 and 10% every min.
walk 3.5 then lower speed for lunges and side step squats each for 1min. Next is fast paced walk, jog and then run 1 min ea. Recover and do all over again.
After this workout you run with a ramp up the speed style for 10min. Total workout time is about 30-40 min. PHEW!
I think I am going to like these new dueling TM workouts!!!! ;)

Sherry: Awesome job on your upper workout today! :) Even better...dinner will be ready when you all are. :) Great planning ahead!
Oh YUM! Your brunch sounds like it will be nice tomorrow too. ;)

I am not sure about what you mean for the lifting straps.... ? Guess I haven't tried this type of move. ;) Be careful with your wrist. Maybe do some extra easy stretching for it. I found that my wrist bothered me mostly after push-ups in the beginning but is ok now.

Oh I am still feeling those upper DOMS for sure! HAHA! I just can't get over the fact how the bands got me this good. Yup, love that feeling of being worked good! ;)

I agree with the adding a day extra for lower because STS only has one for the week. What year did that BBW come out? Sounds like a goodie!

Heidi - I hear you on the sleeping. I need to check that TM workout out, sounds great.Did you do the Tri Stets LB split? Happy Birtday to your BD. Good job, about your DOMS. DH surgery is this April 26!

Sherry - glad it's a holiday for too. I went to DC with DD instead getting my workout in early Friday morning, lol. It was fun! I have to modify alot with the LIS workouts.My wirst is still bodering me! I love using my tower for the pull ups rather using a chair. Have fun with the BBB and BBW, both will get you good.
