I have to thank everyone on this board that shared their ideas on exercising in the morning. I have been struggling at reestablishing an exercise routine since my last child was born. She is now two. I have two teenagers also. I was trying to exercise at night. I would push myself to do it, but couldn't get to it until at least 8:30 when my daugher went down. I am a teacher and that ment that I had my workout and various other school related tasks to get done before I could pass out in bed. I would go through stages where I could push myself through this routine for 2 or 3 months, then I would just become overwhelmed and quit exercising altogether for weeks at a time. Everytime I started up again it would be harder than the time before to motivate myself. I read a strand about a month ago where people who exercise in the morning shared their tips for getting up and getting motivated. It is working. I find that once I get up it isn't even a struggle. My workout is over and I can enjoy my evenings with my family much more. There were some awesome tips in that strand that I would never have thought of myself. The next 2.5 months will be a breeze! SUMMER VACATION!!!!! but I am still going to get up with my husband to get my workout done before my toddler wakes up. It will also make the switch back to 4:15 easier when fall rolls around again. Thanks so much for all your good advice.
