Getting Back in the Game

I will have to eat really clean this week to make up for this weekend. I probably gained 5 lbs from eating b/c my pants are already fitting tigher. We had funnel cake and other unmentionables at the rodeo on Friday, then random party food at the engagement party on Saturday. On Sunday we were celebrating MILs birthday and I was determined to not eat bad and ordered grilled chicken and veggies. Then my determination crumbled when we got back to inlaws house and she had just baked some chocolate chip cookies. I'm sorry, but I have no willpower over chocolate chip cookies.

So I will be paying for this weekend for a while. Too bad I have my first busy week at work this week. I will be staying late tonight for sure, probably 10 or 11, so no way I am working out today. I will just have to healthy this week since I won't have time to sleep, much less workout.

I did do a little Squeeze type workout this weekend, so my bottom is sore today.

TGIM! (Thank God it's Monday :D)

I love Mondays!!

Diane - Don't feel too bad about your weekend eating. I didn't do to great either and I am trying hard not to feel bad. I am with you on eating well through out the week to try and make up for it  Did you have a great weekend?!?!

I think I mentioned we went to my sister's this weekend. I was able to start it off with CCV6 (my fave!) We took the girls rollerskating yesterday. It wasn't much of a workout for us adults, but boy oh boy, did my DDs get a workout! They were falling left and right, poor girls. My 7 y/o finally got the hang of it, but my little one just decided to stay in the practice area (where they have bars on both sides to help.) Their little faces were red and hot -- working so hard to stay up and move at the same time!!!! :)

I have loads of laundry to do today and some grocery shopping. But I get to stay at home most of the day and that is nice. I'll make some bread and do some school with the girls.

I almost forgot! I did BM2 double upper body this morning -- even the abs section! Great workout

Have a great day ladies and I will check back later on.

Hi everyone! I felt bad that I hadn't been around all weekend, but it looks like everyone else was busy too...I feel better now!:p

Diane, don't feel too bad about your eating this weekend. I can definitely relate. Try not to be too hard on yourself, just pick yourself up and move on. Hope this week at work won't be *too* stressful...I'll be thinking of you! How was the rodeo/concert and sleeping late? Hope you had a fun weekend!

Mary, I just have to ask: why do you love Mondays?? Rollerskating is definitely tricky for the little ones...my kids haven't been in years, because they were so discouraged the first couple of times they tried. It's too bad, because I used to love to rollerskate in jr. high. WTG on BM2! I don't think I've ever done that premix...sounds hard!

Let's see...trying to remember what my workouts were...I did 4DS kickbox on Friday, just the cardio and abs. I think that is my favorite KB workout. On Saturday, I didn't work out, but we went Cajun dancing, which is a workout all by itself! It was a lot of fun, and the food was delicious. Yesterday I did 4DS HIS, cardio only. And today was the first day of the bootcamp class. We had a substitute teacher, but she was just as tough as the other guy. It was hard but fun. There are a couple of other moms from my DD's preschool class, so it was fun to workout with friends. It's annoying to have to modify for my various aches and pains, but I'm happy that pushups seem to be going a bit better now that I'm doing them more regularly again...I always feel so tough when I can do a bunch of pushups!

Hope everyone's Monday is going well!!

Hiya!!!!

I'm SOOOOOOOO busy right now . UGH!! I haven't had much time to be online at all. Once I get everything done I'll join back in, but it might not be for a day or 2.

I promise I haven't forgotten you!! :*

Take care GF's!!!

I kept wanting to post here over the weekend, but was too danged lazy to start the thread up. Thanks for being the Start Master, Diane. Don't sweat the weekend. As long as you get back to it, the weekend will be nothing but a small blip on the larger screen of life. Oh my, how deep!

Mary, I love to picture your girls roller skating. My kids used to go to a roller rink near us. It was everyone's favorite place to have birthday parties.

Jodi, your boot camp sounds like so much fun. I think workouts go so fast when you are in a group. Not that I ever workout with a group. Only on the RT. How's your wrist feeling?

Michele, you are just too busy for your own good, girlie. So what's going on in your life?

I thought I was getting a cold yesterday. I coughed and sniffed all day. Then I had a lousy night's sleep. Luckily, I'm off today and could sleep in. Not too late though, because I was meeting a group of people I used to work with for bagels. I did circuit 1 of Burn from CLX when I got home and it felt pretty good. Then I did some house chores. That's something I haven't done for a while. I just coughed a bit, so I did some HIS cardio this afternoon. I don't know what happened to the cold, but I'm glad it seems to have disappeared.

Hi,

I came back to check out what everyone was up to today.

Robin -- boy, if you can get that much cardio done when you thought you were getting a cold, what do you do when you feel great!?!?!:eek: Awesome job!! Maybe it was allergies? Do you suffer from those at all? I think I am started to get a bit as bulbs and trees are really started to bloom now. At my sister's they had quite a few trees blooming with white and pink blossoms! So pretty. I am just down one state from your mom. Is she feeling any better? I sure hope so.

Jodi -- Why do I love Mondays? Let me count the ways! Our weekdays are usually busy, but the weekends are crazy busy and I am wiped out by Sunday night!!!! I look forward to Mondays b/c the girls and I have a (somewhat loose) schedule and we (sorta) know what to expect with each day. I get to stay home more and cook and clean and just hang out w/my DDs and do school and other fun stuff (like Cathe.com) I am a homebody and enjoy being a mom and wife and all that it entails. :) It might sound boring to some, but I love it!!!

Michele -- I hope you are feeling fine even while being so busy you cannot post a decent account of your life right now!! We'll be here when you get back :)

Dana -- what are you up to!?!?!

Chow!

Robin, that was deep! But you're right. I think there are a lot of things that are "blips" on the radar screen if we could just let them go. WTG on the workouts! I agree with Mary...very impressive!

My wrist is so-so. It wasn't too bad during the workout today...I took a couple of breaks to work it out and I was pleasantly surprised to find that it felt more or less fine afterward. But I lifted DS's backpack a funny way after school today, and it has been hurting since then. I'm annoyed at myself for doing that.

Mary, that's interesting about Mondays for you. Kind of the opposite for me...I have to get 3 kids to 3 different schools Monday through Friday, which is crazy, and I miss having DH around when he's at work (both his presence and his help with the kids!) He usually has a day off in the middle of the week, though, so that's nice. We try to keep the weekends from being too crazy, but sometimes it can't be helped.

Michele, come back when you can...try not to run yourself ragged, Superwoman!
