Hey honeybunch, I saw the comment you made at the end of Sunday's <-- thread and just had to post that I agree with you whole-heartedly. I think Garrison can be a riot, but there have been quite a few times I've had to turn off the radio because of his political "jokes." He used to be an "equal opportunity" jokester, I thought, giving little jabs to every and all political parties, but over the years, he's become a bit too one-sided. I get a little tired of entertainers using their talent to shove their beliefs down their fans throats. Just because someone can sing or tell a joke doesn't make them a spokesperson for my beliefs or values.

Thanks. Some comics can pull it off, for example, Will Rogers (who was more of an "equal opportunity" political humorist, chiding both the Dems and the Republicans)and Mark Twain. I think sometimes Garrison fancies himself as the second coming of one of them, but alas, he falls WAY short, and needs to stop it, which I doubt that he will now that he's officially part of the Hollywood crowd with his movie. THAT, I'm afraid, will only serve to encourage him. Too bad - I used to really like him.
