For two weeks I've been working on workout consistency (was working out prior to that but not being consistent...I'd get four days and then have life jump in). I'm doing kettlebells 3 x per week and some form of cardio (usually from Shock Cardio or 4DS) 2 x per week.
I've gained 5 lbs. No, I don't think I'm eating more...at least not enough to gain 5 lbs. I've now crossed the line for me. I'm 5'5" (borderline medium/large boned per that elbow test) and haven't been over 133-135 since I lost the baby weight 7 years ago. After P90X (October-December), I was up to 137/138, a weight gain of 4 lbs (my measurements didn't change).
As of today I've cut out my coffee (used 1/2&1/2 with Stevia, twice per day...looking for the caffeine bump). I always eat breakfast, never skip meals (low blood sugar if I do). I try hard to stay hydrated but have been failing miserably lately. I can tell from my hands that I am retaining water...but I seriously doubt 5 lbs worth.
I turned 38 in March. I'm beginning to wonder if it's time for a physical. At what point do you pursue a physical? I'm about to cry at the scale. I just can't be over 140....that's not me....ever. And yes, my "test" pants are tight. I feel like the stay puft marshmallow man.
The only thing different about this month is that I didn't use my progesterone cream because I was out and by the time I realized I was out it was too late in the month...not sure if that has anything to do with it.
Any input is appreciated.
