Furniture Moving on hardwood floors - help!

We just put in beautiful cherry hardwood floors on our main floor. In my spare bedroom, when you sit on the bed, even carefully, it slides about 6 inches! Any ideas on how to fix this and still protect my floor?

I tried the little cups that you put under the legs with the rubber bottoms. The legs on the headboard (wooden) are too wide to fit them. So that didn't make much of a difference.

My mom is visiting next week & she'll die if the bed moves every time she gets in it! :) Help!

I don't know for sure if this will work, but trying buying some of that rubber waffle weave shelf liner. They sell place mats made out of it, too. The place mat will run you about 1 dollar. Cut it to fit the legs and put it under the legs. Should stop the sliding. And it's a cheap fix!!!

You can also try buying felt and cutting and sticking that to the bottom of furniture legs.

I did that on a chair I move around a lot on a hardwood floor and no more scratches.

I have hardwood floors in my bedrooms and the only thing that worked for me was putting a small (or large, your preference) area rug under the wheels. This way the bed isn't moving and the room still looks nice.
