Full Body Workout DVD Recommendations?

I'm trying to do rotations of all full-body weight training workouts and need more workouts that are as challenging as Muscle Max. I got some new routines, including two Jari Love w/o's and the Providence KB routine, all of which I'll integrate soon. Still, the others I got are more along the lines of The Firm, which are the type of intermediate challenges I use as add-ons (second more cardio-infused workouts I tack on in a day when I have extra time) and are not challenging enough to function as primary weight training routines. I have concerns about using too many too-similar approaches and like to mix it up a bit but the selection seems pretty limited so I have some questions:

- Besides MM, does Cathe have any other full body weight routines? I can't find them...
- What Full body weight routines do you all love and feel challenged by featuring instructors I haven't mentioned?
- If you do Providence, do you think it works as a fb weight workout or is it too much of a hybrid workout?

Thanks!

Hi Stacey

A couple of recommendations if you haven't come across them.

Cathe also has Muscle Endurance (on the same disk as Bootcamp) which is a full body workout of about an hour. It's similar to MM. There's also Power Hour which I don't have which I believe is a full body weights workout as well.

There's also Amy Bento's Slo-Mo. This is actually a split workout but there are full body premixes on there. Amy's weight workouts make a nice change from Cathe's.

Hope that helps!

On Cathe's Pyramids dvd there is also a Bonus workout which is a full body workout. Supersets/Push Pull dvd are both full body workouts with tons of premixes. Her Maximum Intensity Strength is another which is on a dvd with 2 other workouts one of which is Power Hour which is another total body workout, but is higher rep with more of a "Body Pump" feel.

I second Amy Bento's Slo Mo as well.

I also like her older ones Power Hour and Maximum Intensity Strength which come on one DVD along with Body Max.

Thanks for straightening me out about Cathe's full body workouts. I'll check them out. I just got Bento's Slo-Mo but didn't preview it after reading on the box that it's a 3-day split and becoming irritated.... Should have previewed it before making assumptions. Thanks, everybody.

I recently tried Kelly Coffey Meyers NYC and liked it a lot!! I use more dumbbell variety than she suggests and pause as I need to change my weights, but I really liked this one. I tried it from netflix.

Personally, I love Slo Mo legs!! This dvd has full body premixes on it, but they are lengthy. You can watch long clips of Amy's workouts on her website. HTH!

I second the recommendation for MIS. It's an oldie but goodie.

Tony Horton has some full-body workouts in his P90 Masters ("Sculpt 5-6") and P90X+ ("Total Body Plus") series.

ooh, i love cathe's fb stuff!

muscle endurance
power hour
super sets
push pull
.......so fun!

i've been doing 3-4 day splits but now i want to do these!

The pyramids are good for sure.... you might check out Tracy Effinger's Squeeze Stronger -- a lot of us have it and find it a nice twist to compliment Cathe's work.
