Frustrated this morning!

THIS is why I never bought a scale before!!!! I started the weight-loss quest 3 weeks ago to lose the weight I put on after my surgery. I have been watching my diet and ot back into the regular/daily exercising (3 cardio and 3 weight workouts a week, plus 3 tae kwon do classes).

So...I lost 3 lbs. as of last Monday. I weighed myself this morning and put went up 1! Yeah, yeah...I know...I'm getting back some of the muscle I lost and I will start seeing a drop in weight again in a week or two....but it's still disheartening. Even when you KNOW it's coming!

I shouldn't have bought that stinking scale! I was thinking this morning, "I shouldn't have eaten those 3 Rolos yesterday..."

Donna-every single time I buy a scale, I return it within 2 weeks! LOL. I don't own one, and don't WANT one!

Donna,

You are doing great!! I have lost around 45 pounds since January 2006 - if you work that out that is a VERY slow weight loss. I have gone through a lot of periods of no weight loss or a few pounds gained - but look at what has happened in the long run!!

The fact that you had 3 rolos has nothing to do with it. You have to eat like you want to eat for the rest of your life, and that includes a rolo, a piece of birthday cake or a scoop of icecream once in a while. (I still eat icecream quite often!) If you are keeping your diet clean and your portions in line you will continue to see the kind of loss you want.

Keep up the good work and don't get discouraged by the number on the scale. It is just ONE measure of your success. (Get rid of it if it is going to upset you and weigh yourself somewhere else.)

I know the Rolos had nothing to do with it...that's why I was ticked at the scale. Making me feel guilty about my 3 stinking Rolos! I needed that chocolate and caramel darn it!
