Frustrated! Need to vent...

OK, so for the past few years, I have worked out about 6 days a week. Since February, I have fallen a bit off the wagon due to a cross-country move and new job (working 12 hours a day, no sleep, etc.) So...for the past few weeks, I have finally gotten back into the groove and have been working out about 6 days a week again. I am getting my hard body back. It felt so good to get back to normal.

This past weekend, I went to Florida to visit my boyfriend and woke up at 500am on Friday morning to work out, then took both Saturday and Sunday off. "No big deal", I told myself, since I would get right back on the wagon on Monday and would work out every day that week. Then...guess what happens?? I come down with a NASTY case of the flu on Monday night and have been so weak and achy, I can barely get up out of bed, let alone work out. So...there goes my brilliant plan of getting back into the groove and working out every day this week to make up for being a slacker last weekend.

Does anyone else ever feel that it just seems like life is against you with keeping up with your workouts? Like it's one thing after another? I have been doing so well and now I feel like I am so off track. It's frustrating...I hate being sick! I think I am finally up for a workout tomorrow morning, but I feel like I am back at square one in getting into a routine. x(

Thanks for listening - I am just really frustrated about this.

Try not to fret the time off. Your body will remember faster than you think! Get healthy, first. The workout! Working out while sick (unless symptoms are mild) is counter productive and will do nothing for your hard body!

Rest Rest. Then WORK WORK!

Hope you feel better fast!

Dianna,
I understand how you feel-I was doing great as well and then I lost my best friend.(my bird Calvin) He died April 11, 2006 and I have had the worst time trying to deal with it. So I too feel like I am back at square one. I think life throws you a curve ball now and again and yes it is HARD to get back on track. This website is great it has helped me alot-thankyou to all of you who post it always helps me!!
