Hey everybody need some help. Iam going do be doing alot of running around this week getting ready for the wedding I need to know what is the easiest way to get my fruit in what travels well and can be eaten without mess and in a hurry?

Well, bananas are very portable. You can also slice up other fruits, put them in tupperware containers, and keep them in a cooler while you're out and about (don't forget to include a fork or two). That would probably be the best way.

Grapes, apples (apples are my 'go-to' fruit), and bananas travel well and can be eaten without mess (the messiest part is what to do with the banana peel).

Though they are calorie-dense, dried fruits can be useful in a pinch. You can also let them soak in some water so they rehydrate some, so you won't eat as many as if they were completely dried.

Many other fruits---pears, peaches, nectarines--are a bit juicy to be eaten without mess, but you could plan for that and take some napkins and wipes. Of the three, pears probably don't travel as well and get bruised more easily.

You could also blend up some fruits with some kind of milk and make smoothies, packing them in a leak-proof container with some freezer packs in a portable cooler.

Juices are an alternative, but not the best (they are not whole foods, are calorie dense, and are usually heated, destroying enzymes). Make sure you get unsweetened juices if you go this route, and avoid 'juice drinks,' which have other ingredients (often HFCS) in besides juice.

Larabars. I have one in my purse at all times. They are made of fruits and nuts with no other ingredients. My favorite is the cherry.

I am forever eating fruit (all kinds) on the run, and I find that apples win above the rest toteworthiness. Bananas and pears bruise. Grapes and all kinds of berries get crushed if not sealed in a tupperware container. An apple I can shove straight into my purse. It neither bruises nor makes a mess upon eating. I can even eat it while driving.

I personally veer away from juices and smoothies because I like to get the fiber that comes with the fruit. This said, I don't deny that juices and smoothies taste good and give a needed boost of energy.

I agree, but if you make a smoothie using whole fruit, you get the fiber as well.
