Hey Ladies,
Its nearly midnight here so I figured I would go ahead and start a new thread.
Well, look what I have gone and done! I swear if its not one thing its another. I went outside to let the dog go pee tonight before bed, and I tripped and did something to my foot. There are only 2 steps off our deck, but the hose was right in front of it ( had it out for Haley's slide) and when I stepped on it it rolled and so did it. I also had my chunky flip flops on which my mom says are "dangeroud".:p Anyway, I don't know if its broken but I guess I"ll see about it tomorrow. I have had ice on it for over and hour and cant walk on it. Guess I wont be kickboxing tomorrow like planned...waaaaaaa.

Candra, GLad you're feeling better. I am not! I totally ripped into Mike tonight and now I can't sleep just becasue I'm mad and I'm even more mad that he can sleep with the blowout we just had! I am determined that this is NOT pg-related but I AM RIGHT AND HE IS WRONG. SO there!:D

Susan!!! NO!!!!! :( Sending you good healing vibes~~~~~~~~~~!!

Well, since I can't sleep I've been doing payroll stuff. I need to finish up and go to bed.

Today we're meeting a friend of mine for lunch. I don't really want to go. I have to drive about 30 min to get there, I'm not crazy about the restaurant, etc, etc. But I figure this will probably be the last time I see her for a while. She lives about an hour away and this is a halfway point. Once school starts back up I won't be able to do lunch dates anymore so one last good friend deed, right? I really want some time at home to get things done. Yesterday DH said he wants some time alone on Saturday to do yard work without the girls around. Sure Buddy. And pigs might fly out of my butt! What about time for ME to get some stuff done?! Ugh, sorry. I'm in a really sour mood tonight. I should just go to bed.

Workout today will be a loooooooong walk with my sister. She leaves next week for her dorm at college. She'll be a freshman. I'm gonna miss her!!! I think I'll leave just before the kids go to bed and Mike will have to put them to bed on his own. Oh, and they won't have had a nap either! hahahahahaha!!!! Good luck, BABE!:p

Hi,
I have been up since 5a.m. (not too bad). Yesterday, it felt like the baby WAS coming out of me. There is such intense pressure toward the bottom of my uterus, and it makes it so hard to walk sometimes (like yesterday). I did a very mild LS Workout-it was on Disc 2 of the 4-mile walk workout. It was called "jogging mile", but I walked and modified a lot.

Oh, I forgot to tell you this...my DH and I got life insurance physicals last Monday to upgrade our insurance. DH's physcial results came back, and they were fine. Mine, however, were a different story. My cholesterol is through the roof (366 total). HDL is 86 (I think that's o.k.), but LDL is 234:confused:!!!! I called my sister (the doctor) right away, and she said it's due to pregnancy. She said she had to get a physical for work when she was pregnant, and her's was raised too. I have an OB appt next Wed, so I will bring all my results. I also plan to go to family doctor after baby is born and get it retested as a follow-up. There were some other abnormal things as well (for all you medical professionals)...Creatine was 0.5 (a little low), Triglycerides were 229 (high). I am really freaking out...I am only 33 and take care of myself!!!

DH is sick (bad ear infection-2nd in 3 months). Dr. said that DH will have to go to ENT if he gets another one soon. No reason as to what it causing them.

We are planning to go to Knobel's Grove park today. It's an amusement park in PA that is really old and awesome. It is a family park, and they never charge for parking or admission, so anyone can get in. Tickets or handstamps are used for the rides. I love that place! We are meeting bro and sis-in law and their little boy.

And for personals...

Kate-I hear you about arguing with DH! Sometimes they come off with these far-out ideas/requests. Like you don't need a break??? I get frustrated with mine too:mad:. I hope that he comes to his senses today. I can't wait to see the nursery-it sounds wonderful! We still have to do a few things (time to get on hubby again).

Susan-Oh my, girl:(. You just can't catch a break (bad choice of words-sorry)! I hope your foot isn't broken. Let us know.

Mikkia-Yeah for the in-laws being gone. Isn't that stressful??? When my MIL was living, she used to make little comments to me all the time. She meant well, but I still didn't like them.

Lisa-I am due Oct 11th, but c/s will be scheduled the week of 10/6 sometime. I am hoping to FINALLY schedule it next Wed at my appt. Inservice for teachers begins on Monday-Thurs. Then, school begins on Monday, the 25th. I am looking forward to it, but also nervous about how parents will respond on the evening of the 28th (open house night) when they find out I won't be there Oct-beg of Jan. My long-term sub is very nice, but now she is interviewing for a last minute perm. position, so who knows if she will be my sub or not.

Autumn-I was interested in learning more about kettlebells too after I saw this infomercial on TV. I didn't buy into that infomercial b/c the weights seemed way too light, but I am interested in getting into them after the baby is born. I will check out that site you talked about. Are the workouts fun? How is the music? I hope your nausea subsides.

Stephanie-How was your "alone" time yesterday? I began washing baby clothes too. I really want to buy some new stuff (baby Gap has SUCH cute things), but then I feel guilty b/c we already have so much. SIL is giving me a huge bag of baby clothes today (to borrow). Maybe buying a few things won't hurt;). Gap Outlet just opened in Hershey, so that's always an option too.

Maggie-With all the pressure I have "down there", I don't even want to think of Sexmax (my poor DH). Thanks for explaining what a Moby wrap was. Before you explained it, I was thinking it was some kind of shawl or bathrobe:D. Yes, I am very energetic on most days, but the other day was just non-stop. I do not like to sit (hmmmmmmm....I wonder why my DS has such a high energy level;)).

Jen #2-Let us know how the appt. goes. Good luck at Babies RU. Let me think of more baby things I couldn't live without...
For Me:
Lansinoh (for breasfeeding breasts)-it's a cream that is great in preventing soreness, cracked skin
Disposable nursing pads (I had the cotton ones at first, but didn't like them)
A good breast pump (Medella ((sp?)) Pump-in-Style). $$$, but worth it.

For Baby:
-monitor
-bouncy seat that vibrates
-Instead of high chair, I would have requested one of those seats that hooks right on the table.
-exersaucer (one that converts from an exersaucer to a walker)
-really long bibs with pockets
-Avent bottles (they worked great)
-baby bathtub
-Triple Paste diaper cream (I swear by this stuff)!!! Sister is a dermatologist and swore by it. DS NEVER got a diaper rash. I recommend it to all my friends, and the pediatrican was very happy to hear we use it. It also works great on adult skin (for anything).
-Very mild soap/lotion (Cetaphil)-again, recommendation from sister
-velcro swaddle wraps ( I swore that I would get one with this baby-didn't have one with last baby

*I could go on, but those are my favorites.

Hello to everyone else!!!

Wow-another novel:p.

I am off to get ready for the day!
-Jen

Wow, seems like lots of drama here today already!

Susan, I think we need to wrap you up in a bubble.

Kate, I had to laugh really hard b/c when I first read your post I thought you were suprised that Mike was sleeping after the "blowjob" he had not "blowout", you know where my mind is.

Jen, still having trouble sleeping? I agree with Medela pumps---well worth the money if your going back to work & want to pump. Used it for my smallest boys and nursed exclusively.

My body is getting back to normal. Yesterday marked 2 weeks. I fit into my clothes, and my weight is pretty close to what it was. Yesterday was my first day at my new job---it's going to be different---but I"m trying to stay positive. My pee-test came back as a fail, b/c I've been taking Vicodin post surgery for pain. Now I have to do all this follow-up stuff to prove that it's a legite prescription. They've never had a pharmacist fail the drug-test.

Well, off to work. Have a nice day. Stay out of trouble, and no more injuries!!!!

Morning!
Wow, broken bones, insomnia, high cholesteral...we are falling apart. Melanie, at least you are feeling better. Great job on losing those few pounds. I do hope you like your new job.
I was up all night. I mean I didnt get 5 min of sleep. I watched the olympics til 3 then news and trashy reality shows. DH had to go open up the office then hes taking me to the dr. I have never had a broken bone before. I hope its a bad sprain!
Kate-I miss my lunches with friends! Have fun.
Jenn-You guys have fun at the park!

Jen, PLEASE no worries on the cholesterol! As soon as I read you had a physucal my first thought was "her chol. will be all wrong!" becfore I even read that was going on. NO worries!;):D I feel ya on having to modify LS! Very frustrating isn't it? DH's ear infection could be caused by his neck being out of alignment. Have either of you ever seen a chiro before? I used to work for one and have seen MANY ear infections clear up with chiropractic care. Good luck! And have fun at the park today! You guys do so many cool things! DH doesn't want me going on a walk tonight because I "do too much". Well, how about him helping take DDs to the bathroom last night at the restaurant? How about him helping with just about ANYTHING wround the house?! Normally I don't complain about doing stuff in the house (I AM a SAHM after all) but if he's complaining I'm doing too much-----HELP ME!!!!

Melanie, No blowjob's for Mike for sure! He is in the DOG HOUSE right now! Glad you're feeling back to yourself again. OH NO on the drug test! Are they okay with it or do they not believe you?

Better go get b'fast ready for the kids! And me! Kashi & grapes here I come!

Morning all. I swear you girls get in more trouble before 7 am than any others i know! I also have been up since 3 am, ds now is puking up a storm and the poor little buddy threw up threw his nose. It was traumatic. and dh slept right through it:mad:apparently I am the only parent they have at 3 am.
In other news, mil offered to take our children campilng the 20-23rd. dh was going to surprise me with a short trip to Vegas(we have free airline miles that expire in Oct)well gues who won't be able to watch the kids now? we have to cancel the whole trip. I really can't type here what I would like to about her.
Kate-i am sorry about dh. Sometimes they are just so insensitive. Your nursery sounds so beautiful, i can't wait to see pictures. Pink and green are so pretty together.
jen1-please don't worry about cholesterol. Your Hdl is great, and the the triglycerides are pregnancy related, and probably the ldl too. I had my lipid panel done last month when I was 12 weeks, and my Hdl was 90 (all the estrogen), everything else was ok, but I was not as pregnant as you. I am sure by now mine would be about the same. Oct 6th is sure coming soon.
Susan-I am with Melanie-you need bubble wrap. i hope you are not broken! Let us know!
Melanie-good luck at your new job. don't worry about the + drug screen. can you have your dr write a letter for your file?
jen2-i completely agree with jen1 list, especially the breast pump. the medella is about $200 and worth its weight in gold. It is quick and easy.

better go, hear crying in next room, which is usually followed by puking, around here.

Oh Mikkia, So sorry about DS! I hope it doesn't last long! ADND YOU TRIP! What a bummer!!! I'd be ticked too! Any possibility there's anyone else to watch the kids? Fat chance, I'm sure! What was her reason she couldn't take them anymore? Just grumpy?

Lower back pain in full swing:confused:.
Kate-Thanks for advice on the chiro-I mentioned it to DH. It sure didn't hurt.

Also, thanks Mikkia and Kate for the cholesterol advice. I feel MUCH better, but I do have to contact the insurance man before he tells me I was denied:(.

Melanie-Oh no on the drug test. I am sure you will clear up the misunderstanding. What a pain.

Mikkia-Sorry to hear about your trip cancellation. Your in-laws are winners.

Susan-Hope all is well at the doctors.

We are off to the park.
-Jen

No, my parents are in colorado for 2 weeks, my one sister is back in school and other is full time at a new a job. i called a few friends but kids go back to school, oh well, wasn't meant to be. My mil is such a child. she is tired after having her whole family at MY HOUSE for the week. I am sure it was so much work for her(not!)Ok, I am over it.

Jen, Hope the park goes well. Sounds like walkmax will be your WO today!:D

Mikkia, What a good sport you are! Not like you have much choice!:p

Well, my friend cancelled on me for our lunch plans! YAY! Getting lots done around the house...

Good Morning!

Kate, sorry about dh:( My Mike always blames any fights we have on me being pg and hormonal. It drives me crazy:mad: Like you said we are always right:D

Susan, I hope your foot is ok. Maybe some more of your choc chunk pecan pie will make it feel better.

Mikkia, I would be so irritated to have to cancel a Vegas trip:mad: Sorry about the sick kids. Puking is the worst. My dh sleeps through anything.

Jen, have fun at the park. I feel you with all this pressure. I always feel like his head is just going to pop out.

Melanie, I'm glad your body is getting back to normal. Good job on being the first pharmacist to fail a drug test:D I hope you are going to be happy at Kmart.

I woke up at 5am with Mike this morning. I have to get back on this schedule so I can work out b/f I take the boys to school next week:( Today we are going to meet Owen's teacher. I already know her from church so I am glad he is going to have a teacher I like.

I better go and lift weights while the boys are still asleep. That is the only good thing about waking up early is to workout in peace!

Candra

hey!
ok, luckily my foot is NOT broken..just a very bad sprain. I am sooooooo relieved! I have never had a sprain or broken bone! They wrapped up it and gave me crutches. You should of seen me crawling and scooting to the bathroom at 3am...my knees are all red.
Mikkia-poor ds!! My dh can and does sleep through all the happenings at night too!
Ok, dd is calling me and I am going to prop my foot up. will bbl to catch up.

Hi ladies,
Wow, you all are chatty today!
Susan--I'm so sorry about your fall! I'm glad it's not broken, though. But I know it still hurts!!

Mikkia--I'm SO sorry about your trip. I am mad at your MIL too! You deserve a little vacation, and it's absurd that she doesn't recognize it. Is your DH mad too? Maybe he can convince her to change her mind? I"m also sorry about your ds. I hate vomit bugs. They are just horrible. Wishing your little ones well soon and you some much-needed rest time. ((hugs))

Kate--I'm sorry your DH upset you. Yes, you are a SAHM, but that doesn't mean you also are a maid and 24-hour nurse. You also help him tremendously with the business by doing payroll, right? The least he can do is to help out around his own house too. DH and I always have tried to share responsibilities around here. When I became a SAHM, I took on more, like ALL of the laundry (he used to do his own), but he still cleans up the kitchen after I cook, cleans the bathrooms (not as regularly, but hey, I'm not complaining), gives the dog baths, takes out the trash, does the lawn and even irons his own clothes for work. When I apologize for the house being messy, he just says, "Steph, don't worry about it. You've got your hands full with the kids." I don't say this to brag or anything, but to make you feel less guilty about asking for his help. Staying at home is hard --I think harder than working full time--because you have to be "on" all the time. There's no breaks or downtime. All DHs should recognize this. *stepping off soapbox now*

Candra--Way to go on the early workout! I'm glad that Owen has a teacher that you really like!

Jen1--Could you be experiencing contractions? Uterine pressure yesterday and now back pain? Take it easy, girl! Hope your DH feels better soon!! I'd be worried too about elevated test results, but luckily, your sister was able to calm your worries. Must be nice to have a sister who's a doc!! Now go buy some clothes at BabyGap!! :)

Maggie--How are you today?? Any changes??

Hi to Trish, Jen2, Lisa, Autumn and everyone else I missed!
--------------
Yesterday went really well. I washed baby clothes and sorted out another pile for Goodwill. This kid has tons of new clothes. Didn't realize how much I had accumulated. Looks like Dh is coming down with a cold, which makes me mad because we have big plans with my family tomorrow night. He says it's nothing, but my sister's baby will be there, and I don't want him to infect her. Ugh! Guess I'll take the kids without him, which I hate to do, because we'll be out late and my parent's house is 45 minutes away. Ugh. Not mad at him, just his timing. Maybe he'll feel better tomorrow... Well today I'm finishing up the baby clothes and going to try to clean the house. Don't know why. We always seem to wreck it over the weekends!! Hope everyone is having a good day!! :)

stephanie-your dh sounds so sweet. If mine said don't worry about the house being messy you have been home with the kids all day it would make such a difference (such as I would no longer want to kill him!) even if he didn't really mean it, it is just acknowleding that sahm is not=to stay at home and sit on the couch with bonbons. Sorry to barge in Kate, but we are having the same issue at my house too. Yeah to getting all of your baby clothes put together.
Susan I am so glad to hear that your foot is not broken. And with crutches you don't have to scoot on the floor!
Candra-do you work out at 5 am during school? I used to, I wonder how this is going to work this year, last year we had carpools to school and this year none, maybe I could do a split workout am cardio and pm weights.

Dh is a little disappointed about our trip, but work has been a nightmare for him lately,he has 3 really sick pts in the hospital that I know he didn't feel comfortable leaving so its okay. Speaking of which I will pass this on. He has a 55 y/o very health male in the hospital right now with MRSA pnuemonia and he may not make it. MRSA is the Methicyclin resistant staph aureus you hear about on the news. They couldn't figure out how he got it, but his wife mentioned that they had gone to Mexico 3 weeks before and he cut his foot on the beach, they looked at his foot, the sole and sure enough, big oozing cut, which is how the bug got in and went to his lungs. So, passing it along. If you get a cut or scrape anywhere immediatley wash and use rubbing alcohol and neosporin and keep covered until scabbed over**gettinng off of my soapbox/nurse platform**
have a good evening!

Candra, I totally bow down toyou ladies who can WO in the AM! That is not min my genetic makeup! Perhaps if I went to bed beofre midnight....:)

Susan, Good news on the foot!

Stephanie. Thanks for the encouragement. I've been a real downer lately haven't I?! Hopefully a walk tonght will turn my mood around. I hate being ornery! I'm glad your DH is so helpful. Hope he gets feeling better. My DH is a total baby when he is sick and I flat out leave the house with the kids.:p Hope you have fun tomorrow night! GOod luck!

Swam with DDs, will take a walk after dnner...bbl

yes, during the school year I work out between 5-5:30 am. It's really the only time I can get it in. I plan on doing this until the baby comes and then who knows. Kate I do have to go to bed by 10pm to wake up that early.

We went to Owen's preschool and had lunch. Now we are home relaxing for a little bit. It is so hot I thought I was going to melt standing outside talking to some friends. I could feel sweat running down my legs. I think I need a shower or maybe we will go swimming. We have to b-day parties we are suppose to go to tomorrow. I don't feel like going to either one, they are both outside:confused:

Candra

Hi everyone--I'm still here--nothing seems to be going on. I kept thinking that I could have been induced today, but I'm glad I didn't do it. Something just doesn't feel ready.

Anyway--it's kind of late in the day for long personals, so I'll try and get to it tomorrow.

take care all:)
