****Friday ttc/preg/new moms/friends****

morning-trying to get myself together this am to go to work. I am not happy about it. I don't work Frid, but to make a long story short I am the only one who can be there :mad:. It seems I may get taken advantage of...
What is everyone up to today?
Check back later!

Hey Mikkia-sorry you are having to work today.
I just dropped dd off at school and Im about to attemp step. We are going back "home" to Mississippi today to paint and do some work around our house that is on the market. It was shown yesterday and they are very interested and coming back next week with parents..so we are praying! Our house is the only house with a mother in laws wing around and that is what they are looking for...keeping finger crossed!!!!!!!!!
I"ll be packing and ironing school outfits for next week, and might run to Walmart.
Thats abou it!

Morning girls!

I am done with my workout and now I have to get the boys ready for school.

Mikkia, sorry you have to work on your day off.

Susan, good news on your house:) I hope it sells.

I am so tired getting up at 5:15 is kicking my butt.

Candra

Hi Ladies!

I have a quick moment for personals. I have a feeling once I start school, Sept 2nd, I'll be a lot more scarce around here:(. It's been such a nice support system.

My milk has come in, so my boobs are HUGE.

+++++
Jen--sorry about the pelvic pain/pressure and the water retention. You have about 6 weeks to go until your C-section? (((hugs))) and hang in there.

Jenm--Tight pants are normal when you are pregnant;), but I know it's no fun feeling them get that way and watching the scale go up. You'll feel better when you get some comfy, cute maternity clothes.

Mikki--I'm in maternity at about 8 weeks:eek::eek::eek:, so I think you are doing really well.

Susan--Are your neck and back healing up? What a lot you've been through in the last month or so. Glad you were able to do ME.

Candra-(((hugs))). I'm sure you and your sons will adjust to your school schedule soon. I'm sure that hormones play a role.

Melanie--I like RSS, but it took me a while to learn it. She's definitely more complex than Cathe. There is no way I could have done it at 6 months, but then I get just, well, huge...

Stephanie--how did the parent/teacher meeting go? Oh my--kids and their bumps! I have one son who had no fear coupled with no depth perception (apparently) as a toddler--he was so dinged up! He still has more bumps and bruises than the rest--wild man! Kids are pretty resiliant with our outbursts, I've found. I just always make sure to apologize and ask them to pray for me.

Kate--have fun wherever you are going--I must have missed something.
+++++

Hi everyone else!

Maggie:)

Hi ladies! Better late than never...

Maggie--So good to see you here! How's Gwen? How is nursing/sleeping, etc.? Are your other kiddos excited about her? Is your youngest coping well? As my due date approaches, I get more and more concerned about the "shift in power" around here and wonder if Henry will feel sad being the "middle" child. Anyway, I know you are busy. You keep saying this is such a good support system for you, but you don't realize how much you are valued around here as a support to US. I love what you said about kids and our outbursts. I think it's very sweet that you ask them to pray for you when that happens. I need to do that too. I sometimes forget that they are forming relationships with God that involve more than night-time prattled off prayers. I need to foster that more.

Susan--Sounds like another Martha day for you ;). I don't iron school clothes until the night before when I frantically look for something for them to wear that is clean and matches. LOL One day I'll be organized again. One day... Hope you have fun on your trip to Mississippi today. Will it be hard going back? Do you miss your old house? Maybe it will sell soon. I'm crossing my fingers too!!

Candra--Sorry you're early hours are tiring you out. I can imagine how ill and tired I'd be if I got up that early. Yikes! Though I didn't sleep worth a flip last night. Weird dreams, sick hubby, small head poking on my bladder and making me have to pee constantly. Ahhhhh pregnancy. Funny thing is, as soon as he's born and the tubes are tied, I'll be sad that I'll never get to experience all of this again. :(

Mikkia--Sorry you're having to work today. At least it's Friday. Hope your day runs smoothly!
-------
Well, it's almost noon and Henry and I are still in our PJs. :eek: He's calling it our "Pajama Party Day." I'm calling it "I'm too lazy to squeeze my fat patooty into some real clothes day." I've been working on my church newsletter and Henry and I have been grazing on "breakfast cake" (a cinnamon crumb coffee cake I made "for the kids" the other day and have eaten half of). I'm going to get us dressed and head to the store in a bit for some odds and ends. Then I have to fold clothes this afternoon. Oliver has soccer tonight. This weekend I'm planning to just get caught up around here --maybe clean a closet. Oliver has offered to help me clean out his and Henry's. Hoping DH makes a trip to the recycling bin. My garage looks like we're saving up for a cardboard collecting contest. And also hoping he notices that the lawn desperately needs cutting so I don't have to "remind" (i.e. nag) him about it. :confused: Happy Friday to all!!! :)

Im proud of myself - I did LOW MAX (forgot how hard that one can be!) and Pyramid Upper Body. Im tired now and hungryeven tho i ate, so i might have to eat a little more

I want to take my little mini shihtzu to petsmart today, she's out of food and i like taking her places with me :) Meatball, my english bulldog always eats all her food and she runs out quick. He is so obnoxious.

Have a good Friday everyone

Hi girls!! We are here in Louisana and getting settled. It was a LONG 2 weeks and we are glad to be here and done w/ all the moving/packing/unpacking.

Maggie~congrats on baby Gwen!! She was so big! You said she was your second biggest.. who was the biggest and how much did they weight? When is/was your due date and when did you have her?

Mikkia~yuck sorry about having to work today when you aren't supposed to. That stinks. How far along are you now? It is hard to accept moving to maternity, but it's so comfy once you do! LOL at busting the button off your pants. Not funny at the time I am sure, but hopefully you can laugh now. The joys of pregnancy!

Susan~I'll say a prayer that these are the right people to buy your house! Sounds very promising!

Candra~good job getting the workout in! 5:15 is early~ DH gets up at 5:30 and I ahve to get up at 6am now to get Hunter on the bus at 7.. makes for a long day because I am a night owl and like to stay up late too. Something has to give. What bedding did you decide on??

Jen~ oh peanut M&Ms I was craving them a few days ago and mentioned it to DH so what did he do?? buy some and brough them home. I ate the bag in 3 days. (it was a big bag and he did have a few handfuls, but most of them I ate) I haven't done that for a long time, but I just NEEDED chocolate. LOL I hope you and DH can enjoy your 3 day weekend and spend some time together!

Stephanie~sounds like you have a daredevil!! The helmet idea is a good one! Thankfully we have never had a 2 story house so I haven't had to deal w/ stairs, but they do worry me when we visit people. It's so easy to fall on them.

Kate~glad you checked in adn all was well!

Wow lots of us are having our babies in Oct!! 2 of us on the 2nd and then Kate is the 18th and I am guessing my c/s will be set for about the 13th-17th or so. I have stopped running this last week. I am still power walking, but the veins in my legs are SO bad and I even have them in my private area as well. They just throb and ache.. : ( I thought I had a bruise on my left leg for a week then I got a mirror and I realized it was more veins and it looks like a huge burise. I have had the problems w/ my right leg behind my knee on my calf, but did't know I had anything going on with my left leg. Also having some terrible heartburn and finding it hard to eat anything with any taste to it. Blah It'll be over soon and totally worth it I know.

Hey!
Just checking in before we head out. Dh should be here in a few min.
Welcome back Trish!!
You gals have a great weekend..I'll be painting..yuck! I just cut in and dh rolls so its not too bad.
Maggie-good to hear from you!!! Im just happy happy for you!
See you all on Monday.

Hi everyone--dh took the big ones to their evening martial arts classes and my mil offered to watch dd2, ddalmost5, and dd7 (she insisted, so.....:D).

Now I have to get used to typing with a little one on my lap again.

She is nursing and sleeping well, but is a little more wakeful in the night than I would prefer, but they tend to catch on pretty quickly.

++++
Trish! You are back! Hurray! I wondered when we would "see" you again. Are you feeling pretty settled in? Does your dh get to live with you now? Sorry about the pregnancy discomforts. I have not dealt with vericose veins (but have struggled with hemmroids off and on:mad:which I've heard is similar.) I sympathize with the heartburn--I had it this time and with our first. Miserable. Anyway, our largest baby was Bardric the Barbarian Bruiser at 10lbs 7oz:eek::eek::eek:. He came out looking like a linebacker.

Stephanie--thanks for your kind words. I've struggled with a temper for years, but over the years as the Lord has shaped me and the kids and dh and I have prayed about it, it has gotten much better. They get to see that and know that He answers prayer and that they've been a part of that. As parents, dh and I see one of our most important roles is one of discipling the kids to know Christ and walk with Him all of their days. Yes, the kids love baby Gwen, even the small ones. There has been more "acting out" behavior wise, but not towards the baby. I think that this is their way of adjusting. I try to include the small ones in the care of the baby as much as possible and I have her "talk" to them. Before she was born, I told them how excited she was to meet them and encouraged them to talk to her through the womb...anyway--I wouldn't worry about it too much. I've found sibling jealousy is waaaay overplayed by the "experts". Oh and one other thing I do is subtly remind people (including the older siblings) not to fawn over the baby without paying attention to the other small ones.

Jenm--mmmmmChinese...I love date night at home, in fact it's my favorite kind of date. Sounds like you missed the brunt of the hurricane or is it still heading towards you? Lowmax and pub--just wow:):eek:.

Susan--have fun painting. I always get paint on the ceiling even with the tape and stuff--I just suck at it.

+++++

Boy, alot of you are due in October! That is going to be a fun month...:D.

Maggie:)
