Good morning! I'vebeen up since almost 3! Can't sleep a bit. And I didn't even nap y'day! I was SURE I'd sleep good tonight. Tired of fighting it so I thought I'd get us started.

This AM I'm taking a KB class. There'll be ab work at the end I know I'll have to skip but I'm still excited to go. A pg friend of mine will be there too - she's 5 weeks behind me with her 3rd girl too - so it will be fun to chat before/after class. We're both bringing our DDs (hers are pretty much the same age as mine) so they're all looking forward to it too.

No plans after that - more organizing I suppose.

Y'day we went to Gina's school to find out her teacher and see who's in her class. Then we went to a playdate with another little girl from her class. It got Gina really excited about school. She's been dreading it but now says she can't WAIT for it to start. Makes me soooo happy to see the change.

Anybosy else up and feel like chatting??! Jen??? I hope you're not up with Mr. Poopy Pants!

Morning all!
hi kate. I have been up with mr. itchty pants (ds). we had soccer last night and he was in the grass, he is a mess. Sneezing, coughing and itching, after max benadryl and 3 baths. urrgh!
Well yesterday was a pregnancy emergency day. The lady across the street who is 30 weeks came running across in the am, her water broke. She had been on bedrest for preterm labor for a week. poor thing, they are new here and I think she was terrified. I still haven't heard anything, but I am sure they had to fly her to San Antonio, this worthless hospital here doesn't have NICU at all. Next one was at soccer last night. A friend of mine that has a 7, 5 and 1 year old has been violently sick lately, she just looks terrible. Well, we found out why. she is pregnant, 16 weeks, and just found out yesterday. The reason she has been in denial(I guess a mutual friend of ours that is an gyn basically drug her into the office and did an us suspecting this) is because her husband had a vasectomy last May! She was really scared she had cancer or some tumor. Anyhow, I guess God has a plan for them. she however, i think she needs a valium! i guess when you get a vasectomy it is absolutely vital to go have a sperm count done after the procedure to make sure that they got it. He didn't.
Ok, that is all I know. I am taking ds to dr today to see allergist( i would rather walk on hot coals), and thats it. I may work out and if i do that will be 5 workouts in 7 days. That will be one day short of a normal schedule for me!!!
I think I will do IMAx 2 my favorite.:p

Mikkia, I hope your neighbor ends up being okay and a total WOW on the failed vasectomy! YIKES! Hope DS does okay at the allergist - does he have to get a shot?? Poor thing! That would kill me.

I ended up getting back to sleep for a little over an hour - felt great - ready to go tackle some KB! Wish me luck!

Kate -I hope you do end up getting some sleep tonight! The KB class sounds great!

Mikkia- I hope your neighbor is ok. let us know what you find out!

I'm getting ready to head out for the weekend so I'll see you all Monday. We are going to stay with family in San Antonio and hit up sea world. (we have passes). We love the waterpark. I better enjoy fitting in my swimsuit while I can! ;)

Hi ladies!
Mikkia--I also hope your neighbor is OK. Poor thing. I knew a mom from DS's class last year who was expecting I think her fifth AND sixth (twins). She said that when her DH had his vasectomy he also didn't get a sperm count, and she wound up pregnant again, and her littlest at the time was probably only 6 or 7 months. Yikes. I'm getting my tubes tied during the c/s procedure this time around. It's been kind of sad for me knowing that this is the end of my child-bearing years. But we decided on 3, and if we get to really wanting a girl down the road, we'll adopt.

Kate-- Sorry you couldn't sleep last night! I've actually slept really well the past two nights, sans the really freaky dreams. I only woke up once, both nights, to pee. Hope you enjoy your KB class today! How fun that your friend and you are in the same boat! I'm also glad Gina is excited about school. I know that really puts your mind at ease.

Hi to everyone else!!!

ETA: Cavillo--we must have posted at the same time. Have a great trip!!! Seaworld sounds GREAT (though if I went, they'd mistake me for Shamu :p). Safe travels!!
----------
Well, I was going to clean house today, but DH will be going to his NFL Fantasy Football draft tonight (YAWN) at my sister and brother-in-law's house, and that is an hour and a half away. I don't want to overdo it because I told him if I went into labor, he'd never be back in time to take me to the hospital. My parents are going out of town today, and I don't really know my neighbors or have any friends nearby, so I'd be up a creek! I'd probably be one of those poor ER women Mikkia was talking about yesterday! So I'm going to do some laundry, pack my hospital bag and play with Henry. Oliver wants to get McDonalds and watch Jumanji tonight, so I think that's what we'll do. Sounds much more exciting than the football draft! I'm praying that soccer practice gets rained out, so everyone do a little rain dance for me!! ;) Hope everyone has a great Friday! THREE DAY WEEKEND AHEAD!!!! WOOO HOOO!! :p

KB class was okay. I did get a decent WO, but it sure wasn't Cathe. Nice to get it out of the way in the AM *AND* the girls got to play with their friends - bonus!

Calvillo, Sounds like a wondeful weekend! I haven't been to SeaWorld since I was a kid.

Stephanie, I had the same thought baout Shamu! LOL!!! Nice evening planned tonight! I'm kind of tempted to do a movie night too! I'm tired!

<----------- rain dances for Stephanie out of the thread........:D

Hi everyone!
i almost typed good morning but its 4pm already! I guess thats what happens when you sleep in until 11am.
I got up and took my dogs then did some workouts. I did Tracey Staehle's High Intensity step mix. I needed that kick butt workout after the huge pile of nachos i made myself and the husband last nite. Then i followed that with Glute Camp. I have not lifted upper body since last friday because of my arm. Its a lot better and only hurts just a little but i have more range of motion. I just didnt want to risk injuring it. maybe tomorrow i can do weights.

DH is going to work in an hour or so and i was making the grocery list. I always do that and I always shop. DH usually comes with me when he is off but it'll just be me. Im trying all new recipes - an eggplant/tomato/smoked mozzerella tart, a meditteran shrimp pasta dish which is angel hair, shrimp, feta and kalamata olives. I'm also making a two layer fudge my neighbor makes every year at xmas, and a few veggie dishes to bring to work. DH asked if i could make my signature pasta salad dish for one of the deputies who is quitting and the last day is sunday. Its so good - if anyone needs a good recipe, let me know! Its great for lunches, snacks, and get togethers and its really easy, minus the chopping time.

I was eyeing my mom's coconut pound cake recipe. that thing is so moist and good but soooo bad for you. We decided against it. Not that fudge is any better!

So by the time i get back it'll be 630-7pm. I plan on surfing the web and thats about it.
My mom wanted to know if i had any baby shower recipe suggestions so i might look online for some of those. Im excited, but thats not until october. I saw someone purchased 8 items on my registry already and i have a feeling its mom since noone else really knows about it.

I was crib searching online and found two more cribs i like. actually three. All from babies r us. I added the Graco AShleigh which is really cheap and 4 in one, the Simplicity Camille (or is it storkcraft) and the Riley which i think is storkcraft. Right now there are like 6-8 cribs on the registry. Just when i thought i had it narrowed down. DH wants white, and i hope it doesnt makr up easily.

Does anyone have any of the above cribs??

---
kate sounds like you had a nice morning - sorry about the insominia. I sleep like a log and hope it stays that way. Glad you got to KB!

Mikkia I hope your neighbor is ok with her birth.

Stephanie I hope the rain comes so you can avoid soccer. McDonalds and Jumanji sounds like a nice evening in with the kids.

Be back later, hello to everyone else!

Hi,
Well, I made it through the first week of school with a bunch of tired little first graders. They just need to learn that school/classroom is not a place to talk to friends all day, and we'll be set;). They have really come a long way in just 5 days:D.

I, however, have not done a lick of exercise since tues a.m. Does exercising to a kids FIt Kids exercise video during indoor recess count?

My DS did not wake me up with poop lastnight, but he did wake me up to tell me that he needed his "heavy" Thomas blanket on:rolleyes:. At least I did go right back to sleep:D. After daycare, my DH said DS pooped about 4 times to make up for not going yesterday. After I came home, he pooped (small amounts if anyone cares) 3 more times. He's fine now. I can't figure this poop mystery out. I am diluting his juice that he has always drank ,and his diet has been the same, he doesn't poop at daycare...so what could it be?

Tomorrow, I plan to go to Hershey Park with a friend and her 2 girls. I don't plan to stay for long, though. It's getting harder and harder for me to walk!!! I want to feel "normal" again!

Kate-I am glad to hear DD is excited about school-that helps a ton! Kickboxing:(:eek:??? My legs would NEVER forgive me at this point!

Stephanie-Does you DH do the whole fantasy fb draft too? My DH is doing his tomorrow (out of town), but he WILL be back later that night or:mad:. He is all into that. He runs a fantasy baseball league, and when they are both going on.... (whatever)!

Jen M-Do you want to hear a great shower story? I had my shower with DS #1 a month before he was born. My sister had it at her house. I slept at her house that night, and DH was out with the guys...Anyway, I woke up with a horrible stomach ache. I woke up my sister (the doctor), and she told me to drink soda:(. Well, before I knew it I was puking and pooping up a storm. DH got there, and my sister drove us to the hospital. They hooked me right up to the fetal monitor, then put me in this emergency room hall where so many other people were doing the same things I was:confused:. It was horrible. I got many shots of this "fennegen" or something like that that made me stop throwing up, and I was able to leave later that day. I can't even imagine that happening to me now! I didn't want to tell you that story to scare you, because that was a total fluke, but I thought of it when you talked about your upcoming shower. I did get lots of great gifts, though:p.

Mikkia-How is mister itchy pants? I feel so bad for him!

I am off to relax and put my swollen feet up!

-Jen

Our numbers are dwindling!!!

Hey Jen aka BusyBaker! You're makin' me hungry and I just got done with dinner!:p Glad you got some registry stuff! So....what did you get!? Good job on the workouts! I miss limitless energy - enjoyit while it lasts!:D I don't have nay of those cribs - sorry. Hope you get some responses. I do think the white would show scuffs easier though. Ours is honey-colored wood, tho I don't remember which kind of wood.

Stephanie, Did my rain dancing work? At least I burned a few calories!;):p

It's been awfully quiet here lately - where are you gals? Resting or procreating?!

JenP - We posted at the same time! Good luck at HErshey - I know exactly what you mean about wanting to feel normal. I love being pg but I'm TIRED! Going to bed as early as I can tonight. Yeah right....(sigh) Glad class is going well - I'm sure it's a huge adjustment getting all of those little ones settled down and into a full-day routine. No sweat on no WO's - you are on your feet all day - that has GOT to count for something! YIKES on your shower story! My goodness! Scary! Glad it ended well though.

Kate~I am right there w/ ya. : ( I was up at 12, 2, 4 and then 6 for the day. I just couldn't get comfy and I was hot (but it wasn't really hot in the house) blah I hope you enjoyed your class this am.

Mikkia~wow that is scary. 30 weeks and her water broke?? And as for your friend w/ the vascetomy.. wow God did have a plan for them!

Calvillo~have a fun weekend!!

JenM~you are making me hungry!!

Jen~oh hershey sounds so fun! Enjoy your day! They have water rides/pools there right?

Well I have a question. How concerned would you be about BHs that are semi painful and 5 mins apart?? I went for my walk this morning and had a few during the walk. This often happens, but when I get home and shower and sit down they usually are gone. Today they continued for 5 hours.. just about 5 mins apart and semi painful. I was ready to go to the ER.. (our tricare prime won't kick in till Sept 1st so I was trying to hold off and see if they would stop) They did, but since I have been up moving around again I have had a few more and I have felt dizzy too and just blah. i have never went into labor and this is way to soon if that is what it is. I just don't know if it's the heat/humidity or what?? I drank a lot of water, but my appetite is about zero. Feeling just yuck.

Jen - that is a scary shower story!! Did that happen ebcause you had a shower? LOL. How strange. I really hope that isnt a shower gift :)

Kate - i did not get the gifts yet, i was looking online at my registry and saw 8 items had been purchased. They are small items - a mom skin care creme gift set, (i know it wont work with stretchmarks lol), some teething rings, a memory book, digital thermometer, noah's ark bath towel set (thats our nursery theme), bottles, foot rattles and something else i cant make out becuase its all abbreviated. i spoil the suprise i guess.

we havent settled on a crib yet but there are like 6 i need to figure out which one i want. Im sad to hear the white will scuff easy. My DH Is really set on white for some reason so i said ok :)

fitmommy i hope your bh get better

Trish, I'm certainly not a doctor but I would go get checked out. Failing that, rest up woman! Put your feet up and let yourself get waited on a bit. Baby would be okay born at this point, but better to keep 'em in! PLEASE keep us posted - I'm worried about you. ((((hugs))))

JenM - Nice gifts! Bet you're getting excited for your shower!

--------
I just took a nice long hot soak in the Jacuzzi - felt very relaxing and terrific. It's not even 830 and I am dying to go to bed! this never happens!

hi kate that sounds very relaxing! Go to bed early if you are tired, you probably need some sleep after being an insomniac last night!

Yes ime xcited about the shower :) I'll only be 5 months along when i go to CT tho. I know its early but i figured its easier to travel and I can see my mom on her bday. I miss her, and we never see each other. We are so close. Sometimes I want to move back to be near her. At least i have my dad here in Florida..but we know NOONE else and its rather lonely.

For the Fla shower from my church, they want to aim for january. I'll be 8 months then.

JenM - Glad you and your mom are so close. My mom lives only 10 min away but we aren't super close. I talk to her just about everyday and see her usually once a week or so but there's a lot about me she just doesn't know. We have very different opinions on things. I think the shower at 5 months sounds nice. You'll be showing and comfortably pg, but not too big at all. A Jan. shower will be nice too - you'll be big but it will be something to look forward to after the holidays.

Hi Kate, I wish my mom and I lived closer. Ever since I moved out after high school i havent been near here. I went to college in Boston, lived in Japan, then moved to DC and now here I am in Florida. Sometimes I wish I stayed up there. Especially nwo that im hearing ANOTHER hurricane is heading our way (Hannah). Sigh..last year my dad said they didnt have any down here. Guess we picked a good year to move lol

Its me and the dogs tonite and im feeling lonely. DH is working and i have no friends here. Just my husband and my dad and the dogs. What a loser..

So im surfing the web. My mom asked me for food ideas for the shower and dessert. She has a menu picked already but she said i could still look and see what else we find. She sounds like she is making a dinner but its only in the afternooon! She is such a martha stewart

i didnt make my fudge yet, maybe i'll do that now...but thats dangerous...luckily it has to cool so i cant eat it right away. Im not that hugnry at the moment. (Wow did I just say that)

I know tomorrow i can workout> i wonder if its ok to lift now because my arm is almost back to normal. What workout do you plan to do tomorrow? I have such a huge collection but lately dont know what to pick :) I feel FAT all the time no matter what i do. I havent been watching what i eat either..so that doesnt help

Kate--You're a terrible rain dancer! It only rained about 10 minutes today, so I had to go to soccer practice. :( Oh well. Oliver had a great time, and I chatted with another mommy the whole time.

Trish--I'm worried about you! Hope that your BH either subside or you call your doc. I've been having them very very often. When I walk a lot, get winded, get upset or eat too much they are more prevalent. But I'd definitely keep timing them. Keep us posted ((more hugs)).

Jen1--Glad the first graders are making some progress! And yes, kiddie fitness counts as a workout! You're not expected to keep up your same routine the first week of school, silly! Hope your DS gets well soon. Could he be cutting a tooth? How old is he? About the fantasy fb, yes, my DH loves it. He's on two "leagues." He also does fantasy hockey and fantasy baseball. Yuck. He does the other two online. Whatever. Whenever he gives me grief about the Cathe forums, I tell him it's my fantasy football .
-------------
So, this afternoon was pretty nuts. I feel like I'm in hormone-mood-swing-hell. DH came home early from work because they let them go early (labor day weekend and all), and when he got home I cried and acted like such a baby because I didn't want him to go to his fantasy football meeting and me take the boys to soccer (which is out in the middle of nowhere in a farmer's pasture that he donated to the Y). He felt really bad, so I know I ruined his evening. I really didn't mean to, but it was like I couldn't control the tears. Really a classic pregnancy moment. He said it was the only thing he did outside the house. I told him that I had to give up ballet when I got pregnant, so he should have to give up that. I know: stupid and illogical. But at the moment, misery wanted company. Thank goodness it passed. I'll be glad to be my old self again. I know he'll be glad to have his wife back. C'mon OCTOBER!!!!

Hope everyone is having a good evening.

aww stephanie (hugs). Maybe apologize when he returns. Im sure he had a fine evening, well let's hope so. I havent been any moodier than normal. I dont consider myself moody. My DH might say differently.

He is so funny, whenever anything happens (my arm injury, me crying, whatever..) he automatically says its the baby lol.

well i just finished my fudge. Just lke my neighbor makes at xmas time. So now im feeling all nostalgic for home. My mom made xmas so special.. :'( Anyway, it made a huge 13x9 pan! I better bring some to work or something. I dont need to get any fatter! If anyone wants an easy fudge recipe that nots too thick, feel free to ask. Its really simple and fast.
