Cathlete
Ok guys I have tried the raspberry shake with the french vanilla whey powder and today I tried it with some water and sipped during my workout. I did Body Max 2, 200 jumping jacks and Could not do the extra set of pushups. It is gross, it is like chalk I even added a bit of milk did not help so this stuff is too expensive for me to keep trying how else can I use it? Or can I use something else in its place maybe the raspberries I don't care for the seedsy effect with this.

I also picked up some ground flaxseed meal I hope this is the right stuff I even tried to stop a few people to ask them but they did not know and one lady told me only at a health food store. I got a package at Meijer by baking goods.

I don't like flavored powder of any kind. I get tired of it and it is too expensive to buy different ones just to try. I like the Optimum Any Whey unflavored. It dissolves really nice and you can add your own fresh fruit for the flavor of your choice. It is even good to put in cooked food like oatmeal or soups. I have never tried any of the powders with just water however and always use milk or just a lot of fresh fruit with some ice in the blender. As far as flaxseed I bought 5 lbs of whole seeds off ebay and they came with a little whirly blade coffee grinder that I use just for the seeds. I keep them in the fridge and grind what I want. Works great.

Hi Beth. Here is my favorite protein shake recipe:

1 c skim milk
1 scoop vanilla whey powder

blend in blender for a couple of minutes then add:

2 tsp instant coffee
1 T ground flax seed

let that go for minute or so then add about 4-5 ice cubes, one at a time until they are chopped up and blended in.

I have tried raspberries before, but I didn't care for the seedy effect either. Have you tried using frozen strawberries? Or maybe a frozen banana?
