Hi guys. I have been lurking around these posts for about a month and you guys are phenomenal. I would like to start freestyle training but need some help. Does anyone have a workout to suggest. My legs are really flabby and I get so depressed. I tend to bulk up really quickly on the bottom . I have a pear shape. The only cathe tapes I have are KPC and Legs and Glute. Any advice?

Hi Minnie

Legs& Glutes are great, love this dvd... this is a great workout for Freestyle.

I think that KPC is more cardio, than anything, so just use the Legs & glutes 5-6 times a week, probably 6 for starters.

At least 4 days of week of cardio 20 to 30 minutes a day, I always did cardio everyday......

Hey you can only use what you have, just so happens Legs & Glutes is a great one.....

Hope this helps, Carole can probably add more info.....

I have a question if y'all don't mind...

I just got the GS series for Christmas and I did Timesaver # 1 tonight with light weights since I'm trying out freestyle...is GS okay to use for freestyle?

I ask because the timesaver I did was not intense enough with light weights. When it was over I was lookin' for more!

I don't have the time to put more than 30 minutes max towards legs rigth now as I do 30 mins of cardio plus u/b or abs each day too. If I up my weights I won't be in my freestyle weight range any more...maybe if I chose different exercises via mix n match to make my own 30 min work out?? I've done this with L&G and been satisfied with it. Maybe I just need to re-work my rotation?

Any thoughts, ideas, etc?

THANKS!:+

Hi Wendy...yes GS is good for Freestyle, just use light weights. I don't recall what exercises are in the Timesaver premix on GS legs? But I split up GS Legs for freestyle. One day I do the Standing only and the next day the Floorwork section. I have also done this with L&G. I also agree with you mix and matching to fit into your 30 min time slot for legs....HTH...:)...Carole

Hi Carole!

Thanks for your response!

I'm going to play around with it and see what works out best for me.

If I cut the cardio back a bit I could focus on more leg work but right now with the holidays it's not a good time to do that. Maybe after the new year when I'm on track with my eating again I will try that for a month and see what happens. This week is my 4th week doing my current rotation so I'm due for a change soon anyway!:D

I'm very excited about using the ENTIRE GS series! I have to do upper body tomorrow so you KNOW GS is coming out for that too! I'm sure I may have to mess around with those too to make it work time-wise for me but that's what keeps it interesting, right? :+

Thanks again!:)

I'll let you in on something that worked for me. When I did my 1st P90X rotation I was worried about the lack of cardio...but...with clean eating and alot of lifting I did loose the weight I wanted...:)..so you never know what will work til you try.

I love the GS series and I hope you do too. Something about those bands that really give the muscle a burn...Yes, it pays to keep it interesting...:)...Carole
