freestyle lunges

Let's say I am going to shoot for doing 100. Can I alternate in each set or do you have to do x amount on one leg first etc...? How long should my rest be between sets? How many should be in each set for freestyle? Thanks:7
 
I vary my lunges for Freestyle...ALOT, but for the basic front lunge I normally alternate each leg doing 20 reps for each side and I do 4 sets of that. I rest 30 seconds in between the sets. How many just depends on you. I choose 20 reps as Freestyle focuses mostly on high reps, 15 to 20 reps is good....:)...Carole

I can probably handle 5-6 reps per side at the most w/ correct form.I had 14 stitches put in the bend of my left ankle in the back 1 1/2 years ago . You could see this pearly white thing (I was touching it)and I asked the Dr. what it was and he said "Oh, that's your achilles tendon". Anyways, since we got a 2 story house the beginning of September 04, the stairs have really helped. It doesn't tighten up or cramp on me anymore. That is why I started exercising again.:) When I do lunges it is fine . I just want to make sure I do not overdue it.There was tissue hanging out when he was stitching me up and he just cut it. I have always wondered if it grows back?
 
Tissue, generally grows back, as its usually fat or skin. Sometimes it doesn't though depends on diet. Like my left wrist, I dislocated it and had surgery and cast on it, a year or so ago. To this day, when I flex my left arm, you can see the cannon between the two bones/muscles in my lower forearm. The fat went bye bye and didn't come back. One way to tell is to flex or see how big your ankle is compared to the other one. If it's a bit smaller it probably didn't come back, but you don't need it, unless your going to walk a long time in the cold or something.

I can feel a very slight difference. It is across the very back of the ankle. At the time it happened I had dh every day telling me to just walk on it, the Dr. telling me he didn't know if I could use it fully again and myself freaking out. I weighed at that time 185 and in 2 months dropped to 156 because of all the worrying I did. Anyways, I am glad it is a lot better. Thanks for the input.:)
