freestyle cardio questions

I have a few questions about the cardio portion of freestyle training. Does it matter what type of cardio it is? Is it better to do kickboxing rather than step (as an example) or does it not matter? Also, how long should the cardio be?

I'm really excited to try this out...my lower body can take all the help it can get!
 
Michele, I don't know that it matters, I just always run and a little walking for mine. I will check what my book has in it and get back with ya........ Rhonda :7

One more question: Does the cardio have to be directly after the weight work or can it be later in the day? I don't know if that would really matter or not, but I'm just curious!
 
Michele, I didn't see anything in the book that said cardio has to be directly after a workout. Also it just said any aerobic workout. It should be 30 minutes or longer.
