I wanted to offer you guys something because I thought it may be of interest to you all. I do presentations to mom’s groups/daycare’s in my area about the dangers of household cleaners to our health and our children’s health and safe alternatives. There was a special where I could buy a case of DVD’s of these presentations and I have given this DVD to all my friends and family. The problem is I have about 25 of these DVD’s left and they are just sitting here collecting dust. I am committed to educating moms and women about these dangers and it just breaks my heart to see them sitting here when they could be out there educating and helping families. Then I remembered my friends here at Cathe and thought it may interest some of you.
Here are a couple of scary facts that it talks about:
*According to a 15 year study presented at the Toronto indoor air conference, women who work in the home have a 54% higher death rate due to cancer than women who work outside the home
* In the last 30 years, 81,000 chemicals have been registered, but fewer than 20% have been tested for toxicity
* Asthma rates in children under 5 increased 160% from 1980-1994
So, I am going to hold onto 5 of these DVD’s for the future, but I am giving away the last 20. If you would like a copy, just email me personally ([email protected] - I check that one more than the one I have registered here with Cathe) and I will mail it to you. No strings attached. Totally free. I just want to get this information out there and keep the knowledge spreading.
