Food Diary App

I am struggling with my eating and need to be more accountable about what I eat. Anyone have a favorite app for keeping a food diary? There are so many out there, not sure which one to choose.

Thanks!
Diane

I recommend myfitnesspal. It has a great database of foods and allows you to add your own recipes. It also allows you to enter your exercise for the day and consider that in your eating allotment. When you set up your account, it provides you with guidelines on how many calories you should consume and what the breakdown of carbs, protein and fat should be depending on your weight loss objectives. It also has a forum with a good supportive community, if that is appealing to you.

Good luck!

I'm a huge fan of SparkPeople, it has a great nutrition tracker as well as a fitness tracker. PLUS the message boards are great. I am overwhelmed by how supportive the people are on that sight. I've been a member for 4+ years and have made some good friends there.

I like their app because I can scan a barcode if I want to add a packaged item. Its not perfect, typing in your favorites can be a little annoying in the beginning, but after a while, its a snap.

Yea, I've been a member for so long that I rarely have to enter in foods these days, except for recipes that I've made. I love that I can copy entire meals from one day to the next and now that you can delete a number of items at one time, it is even simpler and quicker. I've learned a lot from that site!
