Hi everyone, I hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was wracked by insomnia and I had to pop some pills to get some rest. I've had this since I was a teen-ager, which made it easy to pull all-nighters in college, on to graduate school, and even during the first few months post-pregnancy, but ever since I started working out seriously, my insomnia abated. Only to return now...

Anyway, I was able to do PUB yesterday morning and Leaner Legs yesterday evening. So I had a full-body workout in two sessions. Today is cardio. I still have to decide which. Ever since my son got sick, I wasn't able to follow my own rotation.

Have a good week, everyone.

Hi Pinky,
I had a good weekend but there was alot of eating involved:-( Thats o.k though.I don't see anything in my near future that calls for excessive amounts of eating.
I decided to do the Bowflex 6 Week challenge. The cals are a limited but I think after a few days I will get use to watching my portions again.I use to be so good at that! What happened to me? The thing I do like about the meal planning,is that it isn't all protein. Its more carbs then protein. Its the 60-20-20 plan.
So far today I have done the Bowflex workout,a 30 min run and a 10 min ab routine.
The girl I run with just called me and I am going to go for a run with her.I am not sure how long it will be,its awfully cold out.
Anyway,I must go and get my child back to school.
Hows everyone else doing?

Happy Monday morning everyone,

It's totally foggy this morning and I'm feeling very blah and unmotivated. I had to skip my usual morning workout because my parents (who have been spending the holidays and beyond at the family vacation house about 3 hours away from me) decided to come for an unexpected visit. They are with me until Wednesday. I may try to get in a short workout later today or call today a rest day, try again tomorrow, and see what the rest of the week holds.

I did have some great weekend workouts though.

Saturday- Pyramid Lower Body! I think this may be my new favorite lower body workout! I loved it! The ball work is extremely challenging for me (my core is not what it should be) so I have lots of room to grow with this part of the workout. I was also excited that I matched Cathe for all weights except lunges (I went 5# lighter). I didn't think it was soooo difficult, but the soreness in my quads and glutes is pronounced, so it did what it was supposed to do.

Sunday- Push Pull Upper Body premix X 2. Liked this a lot too. Had a hard time with the feet-on-the-step-legs-piked-pushups. These placed a lot of pressure on my wrists. Do you think if I used 5# weights to hold on to to stabilize the wrist (like Cathe sometimes does with push up bars) it would help?

Pinky-Glad to hear that you are taking care of yourself. Rest is so important for day to day wellness.

Lorihart- Good luck with the bowflex challenge. Keep us posted as to how that's going.

Take care,

I usually take the weekends off and this past one was no exception.
Today I did Timesaver #3 and it was great. I just love this dvd.
Tommorrow I hope to do SJP if time allows if not onto another Timersaver workout.

Hey everyone-
What is it about mondays that makes it so hard to get motivated? I had a rough weekend - my husband was sick and he is such a baby when that happens, so in addition to my three kids, I had him to take care of. I did manage to get my workouts done this weekend, which made me feel good.
However, today I just wanted to call it quits - but I dragged myself downstairs and I am happy to say I just completed Kick, Punch, Crunch. I am still planning to follow Cathe's Jan. rotation, but this week seems to have some extra long workouts and I don't know if I'll have time to fit them all in. tomorrow is Circuit Max + Step and Intervals cardio section. Yikes!

Have a great day everyone.

Yep,I went for a run.I wasn't overly excited about it.I was feeling sluggish and I wanted to take a nap.But once I got go'in for 10 min I felt o.k and I go a really good run in.I think it was the two healthy meals I have had today.Eating healthy helps so much when you exercise.
I ran for 1 hour and 15min.I did 14kms.Add that to my morning run of 30 min and I had a pretty darn good day.No wonder I can feel my belly growling. It was really nice out though. The crisp air keeps you go'in.
Thats it for me today.I think I will relax this evening.
Chat to you soon,
Lori
